Ashlee Simpson implored a photographer last week not to take her picture while she was smoking outside her boyfriend’s bar in New York:
“I don’t want my fans knowing I smoke!” she pleaded. “It’s so bad, but I just crave nicotine sometimes.”
Apparently, lighting up is now a bigger career-killer than faking your own lead vocals on SNL.
Fine. Then quit. But don’t deceive.
