“America’s Next Top Model” winner Saleisha was already a model when she applied to be on the show, appearing on an ANTM runway during the show’s sixth season, on Tyra Banks’s talk show, and slinging burgers in a nationwide Wendy’s commercial last year. (Kudos to Jezebel for breaking this story weeks ago.) All of this should have disqualified her from entering the competition, but since two of her previous gigs were for Tyra TV, I guess the rules didn’t apply to her.
Not only that, but as Tyra revealed during the casting episode, Saleisha is an alumna of Tyra’s own “TZone” camp, which sends teenage girls off to the woods for self-esteem-ification. And what boosts a girl’s ego more than being hand-selected by Tyra Banks to be condemned to a year’s worth of “My Life as a CoverGirl” ads and promotional appearances at drugstores near you?
