That old hack Dr. Laura Schlessinger went on Larry King Live last night to bash, among other things, Britney’s parenting skills. But she didn’t take too kindly to Larry when he reminded her of reports that her own son, Deryk, created a seriously misguided MySpace page while serving in the Army in Afghanistan.
On his blog, he posted: cartoons of rape, child molestation, and torture; stories of personal drug use; racial epithets; and a quote about how well-suited he is to being a soldier, saying:
“I LOVE MY JOB, it takes everything reckless and deviant and heathenistic and just overall bad about me and hyper focuses these traits into my job of running around this horrid place doing nasty things to people that deserve it . . . and some that don’t.”
Her response:
“Oh gosh, I can’t believe you brought up something that was in the National Enquirer and in one tiny newspaper that had a grudge against me.”
One tiny newspaper like…The Washington Post?
We can’t believe there isn’t more investigating. The independent.com did excellent reporting.

The Army cleared “the enemy”
The Army did not clear Deryk Schlessinger.
Laura Schlessinger counts on a lazy press and minions. Not many humans in her home town believe that was not Deryk’s MySpace, KingOf*Hearts*. It’s his style. Did you see the cartoons?
She bought Deryk a Harley-Davidson Screaming Dyna for next April when his deployment ends and he can “drive”. You know like “drive” to live? As if the roads aren’t treacherous enough. She and 75 year old Lew will be on Harley trikes. She’s bored with her fleets of speed boats and race cars.
