Mischa Culpa

I’m probably breaking a Deceiver rule by posting this, but it needs to be recognized: A celebrity in trouble is taking full responsibility for her own actions.

According to TMZ, Mischa Barton called into Ryan Seacrest’s radio show today and said her recent DUI was all her fault. Click here to listen. Here’s the pullquote:

“Obviously, I’m 100% responsible for my actions in this case, and I’m really disappointed in myself. I don’t know what to say about it, except that I’m not perfect and I just don’t ever intend to do something this stupid again.”

I say kudos! No “I was dehydrated” or “The Breathalyzer was broken” or anything like that. Just a simple “It was my fault.” This is a good first step. Now, how about an apology for every single scene she was in on The O.C.?
