Heidi Montag of The Hills fame released her music video called “Higher” last week, featuring her huge musical physical talent(s). (Truly, I’m loathe to put the “Musicians” tag on this post.)And to everyone’s great shock and horror, the damn thing scaled the charts, landing at No. 7 on iTunes’s list of the most popular downloads.
I mean, I’m a woman and I can appreciate that this video is a lot better with the sound off (it’s just barely SFW).
At first she was happy that the video (filmed by sometimes fiancé Spencer Pratt) was getting universally panned, because according to her reasoning:
“I appreciate people taking time to write any kind of comment. Do you know how much effort it really takes to sit down and write a comment? I’ve never written a comment in my entire life… You really have to have a lot of passion and thought to write any comment, so thank you.â€
Then later, in an US Weekly article accompanied by the most staged photo I’ve ever seen of Heidi weeping on the curb, grasping her CD:
“I just started sobbing uncontrollably,” The Hills star tells Us.
“I cried myself to sleep that first night after my video came out,” she says. “I just couldn’t understand why people I didn’t even know felt the need to be so cruel and hurtful toward me.”
“I am just a 21-year-old from a small town in Colorado trying to follow her dreams,” Montag says.
Save it, girlfriend. You started it with the assault on my ears and eyes.

This week, the group is starting an advertising campaign in New York and other cities that advocates dog population control, including one commercial that likens dog breeders to the Ku Klux Klan…
The second ad shows a dog in a body bag being plopped on the table in front of a family that just bought a dog from a breeder. The implication is that for every purebred dog that is bought, a dog in a shelter somewhere else is euthanized.
I’m no Klan fan, but at least they’ve never operated a death camp. Like the one PETA runs in Norfolk, VA. Well, they call it a “shelter,” but the only shelter that 95% of those animals ever get is the lid of a dumpster. PETA has got a lot of nerve, blaming dog breeders for being responsible for the deaths of animals. Those bunny-huggers have put down more dogs than Howard Stern.
If you eat chicken you’re a Nazi, if you buy a purebred dog you’re a Klansman… Hey PETA, I was thinking of getting a goldfish. Does that mean I’m joining Al-Qaeda? (Probably not. That would be racist!)
Everybody remembers Paris Hilton’s post-lock-up Larry King Live interview last summer, when she swore she’d grown up and pledged a new era of her life devoted to compassion and charity and the Bible and whatever.
So it really comes as no surprise that while her little brother wasted away in a jail cell after a DUI bust, she was living it up at yet another birthday party at Pure Nightclub.
The reports are that she declined to bail Barron out, instead dancing the night away in Vegas. She must have forgotten that being in jail is such a “traumatic experience.”
But who can blame her? DUIs are soooo 2007.
