Drink As I Say, Not Drunk As I Drive Drink Crash

I think it was Friedrich Nietzsche who wrote that you should be careful when you fight monsters, lest you become one.

Here’s a photo of someone who should have paid more attention to a certain German philosophizer.

Meet Peggy Cioffi, leader of South Florida’s “Comprehensive Offender Rehabilitation and Education” (CORE) program. If you’re arrested for driving drunk in Peggy’s neck of the woods, and a judge wants to go easy on you, Peggy puts you through a pricey rehab program (at your own expense) as an alternative to jail time.

Cue irony in three… two… one…

Peggy had a rough night last Monday. Seems she got wasted, plowed her SUV into another car, fled the scene, and resisted arrest when police arrived at her house to pick her up. Her Blood Alcohol Content was 0.336 percent, which is more than four times the legal limit for driving a car. And that was an hour and a half after the collision. She was so blitzed that the county jail refused to house her until she was medically cleared by a doctor.

The arrest report is fascinating reading. Check out page 4 where Peggy tells one of the arresting officers that she turned her fender-bender into a hit-and-run because the other driver was “white trash.”

Personally, I’m not sure Peggy survived the crash. Her mug shot looks more like an autopsy photo. Then again, that much booze could probably preserve a human corpse long enough to make bail.

I’m not one to shake my finger at people scolding them for wrong doing (or maybe i am), but I think if you are a representative within the judicial system, your actions should be scrutinized.(by having your mug shot plastered all over the net) You should be living up to the high standards others expect from you.

That being said driving drunk is never good. This woman should know better.

PS. the cops don’t like it too much when you flee the scene. Berry, berry bad!!

What’s with the photo? We don’t get to see her lovely eyes which I bet would light that face right up.

Are you sure she should be housed in the women’s lock-up? Beer goggles indeed.

Priceless!!! Gave me the best laugh in days! This hypocritical BS is why I moved out of the south.
