The new norm for new celebrity moms is to fetch top dollar for those prized baby photos.
Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter Dannielynn snagged $1.7-million for her first pics, and Jennifer Lopez just signed a $6-million deal for the rights to snap photos of her newborn twins.
So now Christina Aguilera is enraged that her recent cover story with People featuring exclusive photos of baby Max failed to boost circulation for the magazine.
She also reportedly threw a tantrum over how other moms banked more for their photos than she did (with a paltry $1.5-million, boohoo). I guess motherhood hasn’t “completely changed [her] life” after all — she’s still every inch the diva.
Nicole Richie has also been accused of acting cheap because her photos aren’t commanding as much as she thinks they should. No word yet if she’s angling to maximize the money she can give to her foundation for needy mothers, or whether it’s just to pad her own bank account.

She actually looks better heavier. She also got a brand new set of fun balloons. Did she know she could get those without having a baby? She’d get a lot more than $1.6 mil for pictures of them too I’m sure. Whatever. What does she do again?
I don’t remember. Also, that photo is just shades of beige. Blah.
