Hayden Panettiere Totally Isn’t Like That

She really seems down to earth, what with traveling to other countries to interfere with their cultural traditions and selling $500 leather handbags and such. What keeps her grounded? She tells Cosmopolitan (via Us Magazine):

The actress (and whale rights enthusiast) says she skips out on clubbing.

“I think people look at me as just another one of those girls who’s going to screw up, like, ‘She’s going to get into drugs, and she’s going to get into parties,’” Panettiere says. “I have an occasional glass of champagne when I’m celebrating something, but generally, I don’t drink. I’m a pizza-and-a-movie girl.”

Yyyyyyyyep.

Isn’t Hayden still, like, 18 years old? Unless she’s in Mexico, she’s not likely to get into many clubs anyhow.

(slaps head) — Oh, wait. She’s a celebrity. Rules don’t apply.

    Sorry. My bad.

Isn’t she like three and a half feet tall? When it comes to alcohol boy, I bet she’s a cheap date.
Man Paris Hilton is homely. She should think about not hanging out with cute girls.

Ummm smoking is a drug little girl…n’uff said

  4. 4 Kyndig Mar 10th, 2008 at 3:23 pm

Seen with Paris Hilton…she must have the most contagious case of psycho in history…

  5. 5 Suzanne Mar 10th, 2008 at 4:02 pm

Just another vapid celebutard. Can’t expect the little dummy to remember what she said from one day to the next. What happened to the Eliot Spitzer entry?

I called it when “Heroes” started and now the snowball looks like it’s about to start rolling; she’s gonna end up riding the Cocaine Train to the Lohan Suite, juuuuuuuust watch.

    Rapid overexposure? Check.
    Schmoozing with Parasite Hilton? Check.
Trying to adopt some cause to show she’s “socially-conscious”? Check.

Just add a clothing line or a “singing” career and you’ve got what it takes for a career nosedive.

WTF?! Why does everyone hang out with Paris Hilton?!

    Welcome into skank-land!

Age doesn’t really matter in Hollywood when it comes to “clubbing.” A perfect example of that is Drew Barrymore who was allowed to go clubbing when she was 8 or so. I remember seeing pictures of her sitting in a club with drinks all around her. And if you remember she did end up having a substance abuse problem. Luckily for her she straightened her life out.
Hopefully, Hayden doesn’t fall victim to that kind of thing. It’s pretty ironic in a town like Hollywood and California in particular that is mandating that you belt your dog into the car and you can’t smoke in your own vehicle if you kids are in it that they allow this kind of activity to occur with underage actors/actresses.

Those pics are actually pretty old. I first saw them what feels like months ago.

JJ, smoking is NOT a drug. its a bad habit, but it is NOT classified as a drug. i am a non-smoker, and id on’t label it as such.

  12. 12 jj Mar 11th, 2008 at 11:42 am

Zach - NICOTINE is a drug. Oh and here’s the definition in case you don’t believe me:

    nic·o·tine (nÄk’É™-tÄ“n’) Pronunciation Key
    n. A colorless, poisonous alkaloid, C10H14N2, derived from the tobacco plant and used as an insecticide. It is the substance in tobacco to which smokers can become addicted.

Oh and here’s the definition of ADDICTION just in case you missed that too:

ad·dic·tion /əˈdɪkʃən/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[uh-dik-shuhn] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun the state of being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming, as narcotics, to such an extent that its cessation causes severe trauma.

so in my book smoking / cigarettes are habit forming and therefore a “drug” n’uff said.

Zach: here’s another one for good measure (just in case you missed the first 2)

    Nicotine Addiction

    What causes nicotine addiction?
Nicotine is an addictive drug. It causes changes in the brain that make people want to use it more and more. In addition, addictive drugs cause unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. The good feelings that result when an addictive drug is present — and the bad feelings when it’s absent — make breaking any addiction very difficult. Nicotine addiction has historically been one of the hardest addictions to break.

The 1988 Surgeon General’s Report, “Nicotine Addiction,” concluded that

Cigarettes and other forms of tobacco are addicting.
Nicotine is the drug that causes addiction.
Pharmacologic and behavioral characteristics that determine tobacco addiction are similar to those that determine addiction to drugs such as heroin and cocaine.

What’s wrong with those photos? Besides the obvious I mean. They looks like they were taken by a polaroid.

  15. 15 Breck Mar 12th, 2008 at 8:06 am

    Hey c’mon!
Who amongst us hasn’t been caught pole dancing with Paris Hilton.
Give that sweet little piece a break.
It’s not like she was doing blow off a young asain prostitute ripped abs while involved in a graphic lesbean orgy. Even if she was I’d never believe it until I saw the video.

  21. 21 Hannah Apr 21st, 2008 at 6:33 pm

Dude…doesn’t matter if they are old. If she is a pizza and movie girl now, she should ahve been then…right.
But of course, all the “good girls” slide down the Britney slope.

  22. 22 Mike Apr 21st, 2008 at 11:36 pm

what would age of a photo have to do with anything… she was publically getting messy with the biggest hoe in hollywood, but shes a “pizza-and-a-movie” type of girl. you are a dumb celebrity-worshipping slore. get real emily.

  23. 23 John Apr 28th, 2008 at 10:24 am

    I’m not sure I understand.

There are pictures of Hayden on ONE occasion at a club. ONE instance. She states that “generally she doesn’t drink”, and none of these pictures show her consuming alcohol.

I think the fact that Hayden is partying on ONE occasion in an indeterminate location (could be a birthday party, movie release, fashion after party..whatever) is hardly proof of some chronic habit of partying such as that by Hilton and Lohan.

    I don’t drink…but I’m certain that I’ve been in a club before. I doubt that makes me a hypocrite.
