Maybe she has “no choice” due to the fact her eldest is a self-destructive ticking time bomb. When THAT gravy train dries up, she needs to have someone else lined up to keep her in the lifestyle that she has grown accustomed to - including buying expensive clothes, going to the salon and let’s not forget, someone to hang out with at bars and clubs. Her only other option is to actually be a “mother”.
