Massachusetts State Rep. James Fagan has an interesting proposal: Cut the state’s legal driving limit to a blood-alcohol level of .02, effectively creating a “no tolerance” law. Currently the legal limit is .08.
(For those of you playing at home, a 240-pound man nursing a beer over the course of an hour could blow a .02 on a breathalyzer.)
So, as Reason Magazine puts it:
It’s entirely coincidence, of course, that when Fagan isn’t thinking up ridiculous laws for the legislature, he’s a DWI attorney in private practice.
O rly? That is quite a coincidence. He should make friends with the star of this website.

Yeah! And stay out of Chicago too! Not because of the drinking thing. Just ‘cuz I don’t like any of you.
You mean politicians pass laws that lawyers can take advantage of? To quote Captain Renault, “I’m shocked, shocked…”
American jurisprudence has one supreme principle: Make money for lawyers.
That principle is upheld in the lowest court in the land, the highest court in the land, and every court in between. That principle explains travesties such as the acquittal of O.J. Simpson and it explains obscene shakedowns as seen recently in the matter of Exxon and that accident in Alaska and the matter of Chevron Texaco and the Ecuadorian rainforest. It was especially clever how the Supreme Court was able to upheld the principle and vote to form in the Exxon case. Alito buys a share of Exxon and recuses himself. Very clever.
Yah! And keep your sorry asses out of Atlanta too! Seriously is Fagan so clueless and removed from real life that he thinks no one can see his motives. People like this are supposed to be running our country? Heaven help us.
