Paris Hilton finally made good on her post-DUI promise to do some charity work and spent two hours at an orphanage in South Africa last week. She’s overseas to be with her boyfriend Benji Madden while his band is on tour.
The heiress focused on the younger kids, to whom she has probably given cooties by now.
But anyway, thought y’all would enjoy this little tidbit that showcased how much research Paris did on the places she was visiting:
Paris said, “I love Africa in general — South Africa and West Africa, they are both great countries.”
I’ve heard the shopping in that country of West Africa is really super fantastic, you guys. We should totally all go and adopt babies and stuff.

I see it takes following around a boy to get her to a place she said she would go and do “charity”. Do those kids even know who she is? I hope not.
I hate her as much as the next person, but I can’t seem to find an actual source for this quote. Any idea how we know there’s truth to it, other than other gossip blogs?

I actually live in South Africa and I didn’t even know she was here… sometimes I wonder why she’s famous again? She is the worst sort of plastic there is. Matt Damon was here too, and you know I’d have clamoured to be seen with him… but Paris? Who cares.
