Denise Richards Is a Good Mom, You Guys

denise_richards.jpgDenise Richards is on the cover of Shape magazine talking about how she’s trying to foster healthy body images among her daughters, ages 4 and 2:

“I’ll never talk about weight around them,” the actress tells Shape magazine in its May issue. “And they’ll never hear me say, ‘Mommy’s feeling fat today.’ That kind of attitude just makes young girls grow up to be dissatisfied with their bodies.”

And yet, what about her reality show? You know, the one their dad Charlie Sheen tried to get a judge to block so Richards can’t exploit their kids. Won’t that emphasize those image-is-everything ideals that she’s claiming to tell them to ignore?

Oh, right.

“I asked them if they wanted to be on TV and Sam said, ‘Yes!” Denise laughed. “My girls have been around it so much. They love the makeup. They love the hair. They love all of that.

Yeah, they’ve totally got the idea already. Leave the decision to a four-year-old. Smart parenting move.

You need a license to drive a car, a license to own a dog (in Canada anyway) A license should be put in place before 99% of the earth’s population is allowed to breed.

I can’t wait till her kids are cracked out hooking on a street corner.

there are several reality tv shows with celebrities and their kids so why is everyone attacting her? Wasn’t her ex charlie whoring out his kids for his children’s clothing line??

I agree with Mojo, lots of celebrities have thier children on reality shows, but its only bad if she does it. And Charlie Sheen doesn’t strike me as the most bestest dad ever. That guys got his own issues, prostitutes, addiction, lots of women, and he’s one of those people who believe Sept. 11th was an inside job.

I think you guys are missing the point.

Since when is it any of our business how someone raises their kids? If they’re not being abused or mistreated then we need to saty out of it. Everyone has different values and parenting ideas. Layoff the celebs and their offspring. People don’t go around judging every move we make! How would we feel if every decision we made was under scrutiny on the internet, television and magazines?

I agree, we should just saty out of it.

    Yo, Mojo!

It’s not about tit for tat or she did it so why can’t I (although i do love to see y’all still stuck on childhood school rocks of she said, he said, you’re so smart….*sigh*)..>THE POINT is she claims to not discuss body image in front of her kids…yet goes on to say how her four year olds decided they would “love to be on TV” and “they love make up and hair etc”…..it’s not brain science…….oh no now denise will ask what a brain scientist is….

JJ - I totally agree. Here in Australia you even need to own a fishing license. Quite funny when as you said, any moron can get a shot of sperm in them and pop a kid out….
