In today’s Page Six story about Heather Mills getting booed at the Miss USA pageant last week (which Cele|bitchy says didn’t happen, and the video seems to bear that out, unfortunately), Mills is quoted as saying:
“In England, people don’t like me,” she said. “But I’m going to move to America, Los Angeles, hopefully… I’ll be better off in the States.”
Which is why she was condo-hunting in Greenwich Village recently. But earlier the day of the pageant she told a British interviewer:
“You know, I’ve always wanted to live [in the U.S.], but I’ve always said that I can’t live here because I want to keep my daughter near her father, but you know there’s plenty [of] holidays.”
This woman wouldn’t know the truth if you nailed it to her good foot.

I’ve just finished a great biography of the Beatles (by Bob Spitz, if anybody’s interested) and it seems like the most obnoxious, troubled and annoying person in Paul McCartney’s life before Heather Mills was…John Lennon. He and sugar-sweet McCartney seemed to balance each other out.
I’ve often noticed the phenomenon of extremely nice people in partnerships with loud, unbearable creeps - although it’s usually the woman who is the sweetheart and the man who’s a jerk. At any rate, my theory is that these nice guys/girls need the aggressive personality to express some of the anger and aggression they refuse to express themselves. They get out all the nastiness they may secretly feel without having to take any of the responsibility.
Nope. No ones interested in the Beatles anymore.
Hands down, Jonathan Ross had the best quote about Heather Mills I ever heard was “Heather Mills McCartney - what a f**king liar. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out she has two legs.” Now, that sums up to me all the stories you hear about her, the people who’ve met her (he said that at the Q Awards and the audience laughed and applauded, many many of them have had personal dealings with her.) I agree with CandyKay, if all the horror case people hooked up and left nice people alone they would be welcome to it, but they don’t they prey on nice people. BTW Great blog!
Someone should tell her Greenwich village isn’t in L.A. I’m not even from Miami and I know that.
