Paris is not really smart, but she's backed up by people who is. I think Hayden is just trying to genuinely stand by her friend... but man! What a bad choice for a friend.. hehe From the interviews I've seen of Hayden and the things I read about her, I get that she's naive views about some things and about people.. she still just a kid.
