Cindy Crawford Needs to Put a Stop to This

gaia_crawford_makeup.jpgCindy Crawford is, like, the coolest supermodel ever.

She is crazy smart and has a family that doesn’t seem like it’s under the constant threat of collapse, and she’s always been up-front about the illusion of the modeling industry — all of which makes her pretty impossible to hate.

As she famously once said:

I think women see me on the cover of magazines and think that I never have a pimple or bags under my eyes. You have to realize that’s after two hours of hair and makeup, plus retouching. Even I don’t wake up looking like Cindy Crawford.

Down to earth, right?

So WTH is her six-year-old daughter Kaia doing running around with the aforementioned two hours of hair and makeup? The family was snapped leaving Nobu in L.A., and Kaia is clearly wearing at least eye makeup and lip gloss.

Too young for that! Must wait until first grade!

Have you ever argued with a six year old? I’m willing to bet the reason she still HAS a functioning family is because she doesn’t waste her time fighting her daughter’s insistence that she should be allowed to wear makeup. Especially considering that Cindy herself is famous for looking pretty. Emulating mom has never been so appealing!

Celebutard in the making. Another 12 years she’ll be photographed without her knickers

While I normally agree with everything posted on this website, I must say that some eye makeup and a little lip gloss is nowhere near comparisons to 2 hours of hair and makeup. She’s an adorable little girl, and at that age, all girls want to be like their mothers, and all girls are interested in the hair, the makeup, the clothing, etc. I don’t really know if this is completely deceiver-worthy or not.

My 6 and 8 year old girls frequently sneakes into my make-up drawers - and most of their friends actually have their own products(which I will not accept, cause it’s mostly crappy stuff given on occasions like birthdays and sooo nothing I want in my house)…It’s simply a case of picking your fights. Lipgloss and occasionally some rouge or eyeshadow is perfectly ok on little girls, same with a splash of scent…We’re really not talking foundadion, concealers and the works here. Also, while most 6 year olds love to be mother-ish, many of them snap out of it a couple of years later, when they try to be themselves…

I was wondering why the little blonde girl wasn’t wearing any makeup, but then I re-read it and that’s actually a boy.

Yeah that’s a picture of the son isn’t it?

I think she’s cute. The whole family is adorable really…and that doesn’t look like 2 hours of hair and make up to me. Maybe I missed the point. What exactly is hypocritical about this? Did Cindy make a stand against 6 year olds wearing lip gloss?

Little girls like to dress up! I know I did. It was something I could do, just like mom. It’s no big deal as long as the kid doesn’t do it all the time and doesn’t feel ugly with out her makeup! Man, I used to wear my barbie heels to the supermarket when I “shopped” for food with my mom. Would that have made me a budding celebutard too?
