Pam Anderson Shows Larry King Her Two Remarkable … Faces

Pam Anderson, talking about her hepatitis C on Friday night’s “Larry King Live,” as widely reported on all sorts of celeb-u-tard news feeds this weekend:

“I’m doing really good. Actually, I just went to my doctor, Dr. Huizenga. He took all my blood work and went through all my tests. And I hadn’t really been to him in a year-and-a-half. And he said he’s never seen me healthier. That, he said, it’s a miracle. You know, I don’t really work out a lot. I walk and play sports with my kids. But he says, ‘You’re in the best shape I’ve ever seen you in. You’re 40 years old and your liver is in great shape, all your blood work came back really well, low cholesterol.’ … I’m treating it homeopathically.”

And here’s what she said about 30 seconds later, which nobody seems to have noticed. (scroll the video to 02:30):

“I’m here in Washington because Dan Mathews and I are actually lobbying and getting some attention to, against, um, animal experimentation. And they finally met with us today, which is a miracle. They’ve been trying to meet with — PETA’s been trying to meet with them forever. And so they saw us today.”

barbwire.jpgUm … earth to Pammy … even if you are treating yourself with herbs and tree bark (which I’m not buying), animal experimentation is how we cure things in the part of the world where Playboy, not National Geographic, takes the naked pictures. It’s only been 18 years since scientists identified the virus that causes your disease. And the best hope for a cure involves studying chimpanzees to try and figure out why some of them are immune, since they’re the only animals that get hepatitis.

The fact that you pal around with PETA while they throw up roadblocks to this research should put you in the Deceiver.com Hall of Fame, if we ever build one. I’m betting they tested boobie implants, hair dye, collagen injections, and botox on animals at some point, too.

(BTW, who’s this Dr. Huizenga? I can only find one in the Los Angeles phone book, and he’s the guy who testified in the O.J. Simpson murder trial. For the defense. I’m just saying …)

While I’m on the subject of Pam Anderson, I’m not getting sucked in by the rumor that she recently ate a meat hot dog (fill in your own joke here) at her son’s Little League game. I don’t care if it was a veggie dog. PETA be damned, she served the real thing at her own wedding reception. Which she now claims “never happened,” thanks to the technicality of an annulment.

Two more things make me wonder how many personalities this bizarro woman has. She goes on the warpath against wearing fur coats, but here’s what Robin Leach says about the world-renowned underwear retailer Trashy Lingerie (yes, that’s its real name):

“On any given day you may run into Madonna, picking up another one of her famous Bullet Corsets which Trashy specially designed for her. Or perhaps you might see Pamela Anderson Lee coming in for a fitting for another one of those super low V leather corsets like the one she wore in Barb Wire.”

I didn’t see the movie either. But WTF? It was real leather? Why didn’t PETA boycott this piece of cinematic guano?

And here’s my personal favorite: This month Pammy refused to film a scene for her new flick because there was supposed to be a dog in it:

The animal rights campaigner was upset when she discovered she would be starring alongside the canine in ‘Superhero Movie’, because the scene goes against PETA’s guidelines for using real animals in movies.

So much for Seabiscuit, Ben-Hur, The Wizard of Oz, Borat

Borat? Yep. Pam Anderson was in that movie, too. She told Larry King on Friday that “It was my crowning achievement.” Remember that scene with the grizzly bear hanging out of the ice-cream truck window? With a chain around its neck?

PETA and Pam deserve each other.

Genius. Should be required reading. I can’t add anything to it. Great article!

    Oh … my … god …

I had no idea. Really. Those of us who don’t live in Hollywood (or under its stench) don’t get this sort of news often enough. Keep it coming!

Why the heck isn’t E! or Entertainment Tonight talking about this? And for that matter, why the hell didn’t Larry King?

Oh, yeah. I forgot. He’s a total douchebag who’s on his third artificial heart.

….and what about those Ugg boots she wore everywhere….baaaaaaa

  11. 11 giovani f Apr 30th, 2008 at 12:41 pm

Who cares…and people have the right to change their opinion…it’s what makes America great is it not??? you guys are just like the left…use crap to further you own agenda and then deem people as hipocrites when their views change….you know we are allowed to do…just the same way Pamela has changed her breast so does her opinion but who cares…it’s her opnion…same thing with opposing countries…anything happens there it’s their leaders fault…but I don’t see Bush answering to why 400 kids lived in a poligomist compound…or why until today the poor in New Orleans haven’t received new housing…your just a bunch of hypocrites…the problem is the majority who tend to stick to the middle road doesn’t really care what Pamelas opinion is just how good she looks but that too has now eroded and I’m sure 10 years from now most people won’t even know who Pamela Anderson is…so her I look at this PETA thing as an attempt to keep herself relevant…but just like the extreme left they are just a bunch of dumb asses like the extrememe right and you can all KISS MY ASS

  12. 12 giovani f Apr 30th, 2008 at 12:45 pm

by the way…Isn’t it time we replace her with some other dumb bombshell…why can’t Jessica Alba be a dumb ass????

  13. 13 Artoo45 Apr 30th, 2008 at 12:48 pm

Hell, the Senior VP of PETA is diabetic and takes insulin which is animal tested. Scientifically hypocritical and just don’t wanna recognize their place in the food-chain.

  14. 14 royale Apr 30th, 2008 at 4:02 pm

giovani f…dude…she’s not changing her mind she a hypocrite. But more to my point…who cares…is this a revelation that Hollywood is hypocritical? They are all self-indulgent, nimby (not in my backyard), self-righteous pricks.

A great example is environmentalism…do you really think these people would alter their life vs. protect the environment? They go around telling us how to change our lives to better the environment while they jump on their private jets (which uses more gas on a round trip us west-east coast trip than we do in an entire year) and sit in their massive houses all the while not changing their lifestyle one bit. This will go on forever and i’ve already wasted too much time.

Who cares…they are all idiots whose main goal in life is to be famous…not to perfect their craft but to be famous…what does that tell you about somebody?

  15. 15 logi Apr 30th, 2008 at 7:18 pm

pamela anderson is a hypocrite and a fool? wow. this is now the blog i come to for life-changing revelations. and as for ‘…the freakin balls to stand up to PETA’… who’s afraid of PETA? and taking insulin somehow precludes you from fighting against animal testing? you people are idiots.

  16. 16 smartypants May 1st, 2008 at 12:20 pm

Gee, a Hollywood celebrity is being hypocritical? What are the odds? Hollywood is a town full of followers, who will bend to whatever image needs to be portrayed to fit their purposes. There are tons of these types, who spew things like anti-fur nonsense. Then, when fur had a resurgence in the fashion world a few years back, all sorts of Hollywood starlets, some who had previously been anti-fur, were spotted wearing the furry pelts on their backs. Carmen Electra and Lindsay Lohan are just two names that pop in mind (of many). Heck, Ms. Lohan wears anti-fur buttons on her real fur coats! No joke. Only in Hollywood do people like Pamela Anderson run around in $1,500 Gucci lizard skin pumps telling people they shouldn’t wear fur. And, Mr. Anderson, just how comfy are those baby lambskin UGG boots that you’re so fond of? What a joke.

  17. 17 smartypants May 1st, 2008 at 12:27 pm

Yes, people have the right to change their mind, but most of this Hollywood nonsense has nothing to do with changing minds. These people try to tell people what to do even while they violate their own rules. I’ve heard that Pam Anderson finds it in her place to accost women whenever she sees them wearing fur in public. This is certainly not a live-and-let-live attitude. It is an arrogant attitude from someone who believes their moralistic choices are superior to others. There is no difference between this kind of attack and a pro-life person publicly accosting someone walking into an abortion clinic. Yet, most of us would not tolerate the latter scenario while too many seem to endorse Ms. Anderson’s behavior. Go figure.

  18. 18 bob May 2nd, 2008 at 1:48 am

Dude, I’m not sure what’s worse, that you give a damn about Pam or the fact that I read your rant. STFU.

  19. 19 Gary May 2nd, 2008 at 10:38 am

It amazes me how so many people hammer against PETA as a means to justify their continuing a lifestyle that does not take the welfare of animals into account.

  20. 20 Debra Clinton May 2nd, 2008 at 4:39 pm

It amazes me also that people who claim to be compassionate human beings continue to support animal cruelty, while blasting people who actually are compassionate. She may not be a genius, but she’s a far kinder, and more worthy human being than those who are willing to let anyone or anything suffer to get what YOU want!

  21. 21 Free Thinker May 2nd, 2008 at 10:06 pm

You are a f**king idiot! Animal testing is outdated and produces inaccurate and often dangerous (to humans) data. In fact there have been hundreds of drugs that turned out to be extremely harmful to humans that had no negative effects on animals. Just because most American people do things a certain way, doesn’t mean that way is in any way correct or even logical.

Heres’ a link to some actual information provided by REAL DOCTORS:

[ed: No spam, please. Besides, the group you wanted to link to, the “Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine,” is a front for PETA. See http://www.PhysicianScam.com

  22. 22 jim aaron May 3rd, 2008 at 8:07 pm

I can’t believe I wasted my time reading this garbage. You didn’t deliver as promised. The argument is that animal testing should be banned not just because it is cruel but because it is of no real scientific benefit. Non-human animals are different from human animals in so many ways that the “data” gathered is useless. In the end humans have to take the drugs and that’s when we get the real dope. If animal testing really worked why do the pharma companies keep getting sued by the families of people who die taking their drugs?

In any event, just because a product was tested at some point in time doesn’t mean a vegan is precluded from using it. Misguided, systemic errors in testing protocol by the scientific community do not preclude the use of a given product.

The real rub comes with giving money to companies who will continue to use animal testing for new products (which most of big pharma is moving away from due to expense and inefficacy). That is a personal decision, and if a life saving drug like insulin will let a person keep living and making a positive contribution then that is just fine.

In minor notes: the corset could easily have been pleather, there are “Ugg” substitutes that do not contain animal products and there is no guarantee that P.A. knew about the bear in the movie when she appeared in it. She obviously has taken a stand on an occasion when she was aware of the abuse of an animal in a film so think it through. Borat looks like it was mostly shot with a $ 500 hand held video camera, who would have had any idea what those jackasses has shot prior to P.A.’s appearance (that’s even assuming that the bear part wasn’t shot post her part).

Anyway, you are an idiot as is anyone who thought this post was “genius.” Your web site sucks *ss hard and is full of obvious inaccuracies. If you are not a total coward keep this comment up and tell me how anything in your article survives this analysis.

You are so typical, you see someone actually trying to live right and rather than join them you just want to pick them apart. I hope you are ass raped by a bunch of HIV/Hep C prison inmates. After they finished up and you stopped loving having you O-ring pounded, you could then die a slow painful death and maybe come to understand why we should all strive to limit the suffering of others to the best of our ability as Ms. Anderson has.

In conclusion you are wrong about everything in this piece, but I remain certain that you will be to cowardly to admit it and I expect that you will remove this post as it shows what a total c*nt you are. Come up to Boston, I’d be delighted to stomp your guts out any old time.

  23. 23 The Oversneer May 3rd, 2008 at 9:19 pm

    To Jim Aaron:

Wow. I can tell what a compassionate lover of all creatures you are. Wishing for people to be gang raped and stomped on was a tell-tale clue that any fifth-grader would catch.

You’ll forgive me if I didn’t approve your comment right away, but I was tending to my mother who has Multiple Sclerosis — and whose only hope of a long-term reasonable quality of life rests with clinical trials being carried out through the use of lab rats and other animals.

For the record: Trashy Lingerie (not me) says Pam Anderson’s corset was real leather. She has publicly confirmed that her boots were genuine Uggs products. And here’s just a small list of medical breakthroughs which (a) were impressive enough to win Nobel Prizes, and (b) required research animals to achieve.

I don’t know what they’ve been filling your skull with in middle school, Jim, but all medical research (including animal research) has as its goal the mitigation of human suffering. The problem with your argument is that very, very few people would find the life of a lab rat to be as important as the life of my mother. Or yours. Or your next door neighbor. Or any of the 7 billion human beings I’ve never met.

I think that if animal rights activists are really interested in intellectual consistency, every last one of them should have to wear a Medic Alert bracelet that says “I would like to decline any medical treatment, no matter how trivial or crucial, that was developed through the involuntary use of my brothers and sisters in the animal kingdom.”

Wear that bracelet, and then we’ll talk. Until then, enjoy wearing vinyl shoes. It’s a fine way to go, but it’s not for me.

Oh, and by the way, read this if you want a dose of reality. Is it really so wrong to use “zebra fish embryos” to look for cancer treatments?

  25. 25 Chris May 4th, 2008 at 3:07 am

Great posts, all of them! Can’t stand Pam Anderson…she has absolutely no talent and looks like an old fool. And I despise Peta even more. I am sure they all wear vinyl and plastic shoes and belts and coats…oh, and they don’t eat any meat either..yeah, right. Anyway, very interesting reading.

Not all products have been “tested on animals”; especially the more natural ones. There are plenty of “vegetarian safe” vitamins & such out there as well. Make-up and hair products that have never been tested on animals can also be purchased.

PETA is a caring organization. No one is perfect. Instead of trying to point out what is wrong with everything, we should all look for what is right and never stop trying to do and make things better.

  27. 27 kim101010 May 9th, 2008 at 1:53 am

Give it a phuken break. As far as I’m concerned the author
of this article has way too much time on their hands.
Its easy for you to brave because you’re hiding behind
a computer. Probably some bitter, unattractive woman
behind this. It doesn’t matter what she does, people like
this will always say something negative.
When is the last time the author did ANYTHING to bring
attention to something they feel is unfair and unwarrented?
So she doesn’t live up to your standards…I don’t care.
It must have taken you some time to look into all of your
allegations…next time…try to say something positive.
Is your existance that miserable? I feel for ya..

    Allyson Kattlyn —

Hate to burst your bubble, but there’s no such thing.

The end product in your bunny-friendly eye-shadow may never have been tested on animals, but every single ingredient in it was at some point. It has to be. Otherwise, if it comes into contact with the human body, it can’t be sold in the United States.

Don’t blame me. Blame the FDA. Oh, yes … and blame the “animal friendly” marketers who are pulling a fast one on you.

  29. 29 Mallory34698 May 10th, 2008 at 5:34 pm

giovani, Jessica Alba IS a dumbass-have you seen her on interviews and read her quotes? She’s a personality-less bimbo and talks about stupid 12 yr old girl sh*t and how, poor Jessica, Hollywood won’t hire her for movies because she’s ethnic. She’s a moron.

  30. 30 JustTheFacts May 11th, 2008 at 11:03 am

All the PETA defenders and whiny veggitards in this piece really need to look at what they’re involved with critically before jumping in feet first with eyes totally shut and hands over their ears. PETA is a disgusting cult. It lies to its members while helping itself to as much money as it can get. It kills more “rescued” animals than the local ASPCA shelter located within in a few mere miles of their HQ in Virginia. Why does PETA, who CLAIMS its mission is to save animals, need to purchase a large, walk-in meat cooler?

All this of course means that Kimora Lee is also a bloody hypocrite, because she’s one of the new celeb spokesholes for PETA, but have you taken a good look at her line of “Baby Phat” clothes? Rabbit fur and leather trim on those clothes! Oh, but wait… it’s OK, because Kimora just forked over $20,000 for PETA to put in its warchest to fund their support of truly radical, dangerous and batshit insane members of the A.L.F. (Animal Liberation Front), who have been tried and convicted of arson, bombings, etc… and the president bitch-in-charge of PETA not only admits she hires ALF members, she *gloats* about it… Phoooeee, baby! Want to revel in the truth of the matter? Take a gander at http://www.petakillsanimals.com/

ANIMAL TESTING IS WRONG! Nature has it’s self balancing mechanisms. Sorry your mom is sick. I have lost few family members and friends to diseases that could be or are being researched on animals. Still, i wont change my mind.
it’s the unfortunate order of life.

  34. 34 The Oversneer May 13th, 2008 at 7:52 pm

I never cease to be amazed by people who casually describe how they care more for rats than people — and then blithely describe it as “compassion.” Truly remarkable, Maria. Take a bow.

  35. 35 Hell_Raiser May 14th, 2008 at 2:36 pm

Never really post comments but your post kinda forces one to.
Really amazing post, nice point of view. PETA really focuses on corny stuff. Where are they against illegal cock fighting or Hilton’s poor dogs.

Great post and a really different and original point of view.

  36. 36 Ramblingly Very Bored May 14th, 2008 at 4:21 pm

This whole thing made me chuckle. Just figured I’d let you people know that.

What most of the screamers against the author are overlooking is this is simply one of a gazillion things pointing out how a Public Figure for a Organization, is hypocritcal towards their cause. Kinda like Al Gore and Global Warming, while he flies around in a plane that does more pollution in one flight than most of our cars do months.

Next evolution step for topics like this?

We will create clones, without thought, who are techincally “Alive”, but not alive like us or animals. And the organizations who break into the compounds where clones are kept to “Free Them”! Ah. I can’t wait for the day I go fishing and a bunch of “Free” clone bodies float down the river because thats their only form of travel … ya know…since they can’t do anything other than float. Who will thier public figures be?

  37. 37 d May 14th, 2008 at 8:18 pm

    i think it is funny
a while back i saw a picture of pam in a pair of ugg boots.

What amazes me is how amazed people get when discovering celebrities aren’t very smart, and regard their blunders something that actually matter. But then again, it’s America. Sure though, PETA is a big matter, since they’re everywhere, saturated with hypocrisy and do a lot of damage. Animals would have better lives without them in the long run.

  39. 39 Simon Scowl May 19th, 2008 at 11:43 am

What amazes me is how amazed people get when discovering celebrities aren’t very smart, and regard their blunders something that actually matter.

    You’re here, aren’t you? ;)

  40. 40 Petity May 19th, 2008 at 3:38 pm

It is OK to be a hypocrite sometimes. It is OK to be stupid sometimes. When people bring up arguments like this is reminds me of the kind of limited views that teenagers have. If everyone did the best they could (even if what they do is NOT dead on perfect) to stand up for animal and human rights and welfare the world would be a better place. The more positive things you do the better, if you eat a hotdog somewhere along the way so what.

  41. 41 Angry Mob May 25th, 2008 at 1:26 am

Well these people who are against animal testing maybe we should test on them instead. See how they would like that since they are very “noble”. I’m sorry about your mother. But some people just don’t understand. If Americans really care about animals then maybe they should stop driving big cars and stop wasting energy. After all where are the polar bears going to go when the artic ice melts?? Bet PETA doesn’t give a s*** because they couldnt see the bigger picture.

  42. 42 melanie May 25th, 2008 at 11:04 am

pam anderson, your post, the replies, your replies to the replies are all one big *facepalm*

    sad.

  44. 44 me Jun 2nd, 2008 at 12:05 am

Ok ONE, natural remedys can work, 2 the leather suit in barbwire was fake, you can get that you know, and just beacuse a movie used an animals for its movie, do not mean equal abuse. I am not a vegetarian, but I do support somethings peta does, said some not all!! And Pamela is true to her beliefs.

Maybe you should do one on Drew Barrymore as she was with PETA and a vegetarian, now doing Ad’s for Cover Girl, which when I last checked was Proctor and Gamble ((P&G)) and they are FAMOUS for and most cruelest brand on the market for animal testing. They refuse to stop, where as most company’s are planning on stopping testing, stopped testing or NEVER tested on animals. They are the only company who dont care!!

That there is 100% b/s as we all see her one TV promoting them!!

  45. 45 me Jun 2nd, 2008 at 12:29 am

And to your misleading Physician scam website, or petakillsanimals.com, etc…info, it is from the Center for Consumer Freedom. I eat meat but I want the food I eat to be killed at least HUMANELY, and recently wons its fight with KFC to kill the animals more humanely.

    [sorry, no spam. -the mgmt.]

  46. 46 kmw Jun 2nd, 2008 at 12:30 pm

    Jim Aaron,

I normally stay out of these kinds of arguments / discussions / debates, but I gotta say, you intrigue me. You want us to understand “why we should all strive to limit the suffering of others to the best of our ability” while stating that anyone that believes this piece on Anderson should be “ass raped by a bunch of HIV/Hep C prison inmates. After they finished up and you stopped loving having you O-ring pounded, you could then die a slow painful death.”

You’re a lunatic who resents anyone that doesn’t agree with them. You’re a single button away from blowing up an abortion center.

So what if this article lambasts Anderson. So what if questions how true she is to her cause.

Anyone who agrees with it should be punished?

That you and I are share the same planet distresses me… I hope to God none of my children ever end up sitting across a room from you. I’d hate to think they even passed you on a city street.

You referring to the author of this post?

  48. 48 Ozark_Sunshine Jun 2nd, 2008 at 4:43 pm

My question to the PETA people is:

You’ve got the courage to attack women wearing furs, how come you don’t attack bikers for the leather they wear? Because you yourself may be an animal? A little sheepish? Chicken? They are all hypocrites and cowards.

  49. 49 R H Jun 9th, 2008 at 1:57 pm

In responce to the most previous post. The way most fur is obtained is a bit worse than how most leather is obtained. Much of the time fur is obtained from trappers who use steel jawed traps, and an animal can be caught in the traps for days before they die.

I am not against using animals products completly, but most of the factory farming of animals is completely unsustainable in the long run, uses far too many resources, chemicals, energy, water, antibiotics, etc. If more and more people would use less animal products the world would be a better place.

Animal testing is unnecessary and has not cured much of anything. 99% of the testing business is just that, a sham designed to suck billions of dollars of our taxes, and make profits for a few. There are a few exceptions, but most test can be done in vitro, or done on willing humans. Most diseases they already know the cause and cure especially cancer, heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, etc. It is caused by pollutants in the enviroment, and our food, and the eating of meat.

  51. 51 hugh jass Jun 11th, 2008 at 7:53 am

Well animal testing would be unnecessary since Chuck Norris’s tears cure cancer. Too bad he doesn’t cry.

  52. 52 Neil K Jun 11th, 2008 at 9:36 am

I’ve never been a fan of Pam either, but I am a Peta supporter. There are thousands of useless, wasteful, and cruel experiments done on animals every year in the name of ‘research’. While some animal experimentation may have resulted in an occasional medial ‘breakthrough’, more often it’s results are inconclusive and/or harmful. (Vioxx, anyone?) Results obtained with animals do not necessarily translate to humans. Would you test on a human baby to find a cure for feline leukemia? Much animal experimentation could be replaced today by scientific tests that do NOT involve animals. Yet the medical establishment is afraid of rocking the boat and jeopardizing their paychecks, so the old ways continue.

I personally wouldn’t test anything on a human baby. That’s what lab animals are for.

And if you really believe only “occasional” breakthroughs have come from research with animals, … wow … I really don’t know what to do with you.

I would imagine it’s incredibly expensive and cumbersome (regulation-wise) to keep and use animals in a lab. Just think how many extra hurdles your buddies at PETA have put up over the years to make it more costly. So if there were non-animal tests that could replace all of it, how quickly do you think companies would switch?

    Yeah…

Enjoy the tofu. It was tested on a bunny.

I know…Pam’s not perfect. In fact, she’s obviously not the brightest bulb on the tree, but she is passionate about animal rights. What are you passionate about? Busting hypocracy? There are many higher purposes for hypocracy busters. Try Bush, Cheney, Rove, Rumsfeld, Rice…etc! RIFE with hypocracy!

The drugs you referred to are testable on HUMANS! There are plenty of people willing to be guinea pigs, for pay of course. The point being: Humans have a choice, chimps don’t! Some people with hep c will volunteer to take part in trials in hopes of curing their incurable disease. Chimp’s don’t volunteer for anything.

What are YOU doing for animal rights? Anything? Do you eat hot dogs? Do you wear leather?
    Do you care?!?

just to be an ass, that isn’t a grizzly bear, it’s a black bear.
