Yes, the carbon emmissions from the whole plane trip are 38,000 whatever, but unless the car flew in the plane by itself for just that reason it is not fair to slap the whole "carbon offense" on just the one car. Certainly better to have it sent by ship but Sir Paul McMessImIn shouldn't take the whole brunt of the plane's journey. As far as a carbon offsetting thing goes, I think many of them are just selling indulgences. If you want to produce less carbon, you will do something else than buying you a car.
