The Australian 2007 Penthouse Pet of the Year, a “model” (wink, wink) named Kobe Kaige, posed this week for PETA in its dreary, tiresome anti-fur campaign.
Here she is in the trailer for an as-yet-unnamed feature film, all decked out in leather. Yes, the real stuff. From dead cows.
The mind boggles.
This offering will probably have all the cinematic value of Pam Anderson’s Barb Wire. In other words, stay home. Close your eyes. I’m sure there’s a naked lady in there somewhere.
what an idiot.. what’s with all these porn chicks for PETA? what these fools don’t realize is leather is dead skin.. just like fur is. it’s still animal skin. maybe if they had a brian cell, they’d realize that!

Nice work guys, this is Kobe Kaige here. First I am not a PORN chick and I am standing up for a cruel trade that skins animals ALIVE! You are not educated if you do not know about this. Instead of bagging me for doing something for NO PROFIT for a good cause you should have a look at what happens in fur trade especially n China! I was once in a modeling job (the film shots) a year or so ago that dressed me in a few leather costumes BEFORE I became involved and passionate about PETA. If you watch a video on minks and animals being skinned whilst still alive and conscious perhaps you too will open your heart and stop being a HATER! It changes your views and it isnt too late for anyone to realise we can make the choice!!!!!
PETA use all kinds of actors, models, bands and celebs to raise awareness. This is all for a good cause so please take the time to stop wasting energy on this bagging, dont pay me out, just get real!

First of all, we didn’t call you a porn chick. That was one of our astute readers, who notes — probably by clicking (NSFW) here, or maybe by clicking (NSFW) here, or maybe even by clicking (NSFW) here — that you have a habit of showing your naughty bits to anyone with a camera and a wad of cash. I think you’ll have a hard time arguing that Penthouse magazine doesn’t do porn, regardless of what continent it’s on.
Second, it’s laughable to suggest that you’re not profiting from the PETA exposure. People like you get in bed with activist groups for the free publicity. You’re not paying for the advertising. It has value. So you’re profiting. Didn’t your publicist at Penthouse teach you that?
But setting that aside, since you’ve discovered our little website, let’s hear all about how your lifestyle is in sync with PETA’s philosophy. Do you wear leather shoes? Silk blouses? Wool sweaters? Do you eat meat, cheese, or eggs? Drink milk? Do you take any medications that were tested on animals? How about that lipstick in your Pet of the Year video?
Old leather-boot footage is really just the tip of the iceberg. If you’re going to run with PETA, you’d better be prepared to embrace the whole (vegetarian) enchilada. These folks are more than a little but nutty.

You CANNOT skin an animal that’s still alive and NOT DO DAMAGE TO THE PELT. Also, you put yourself at risk of being BITTEN by the animal. It is safer to KILL the animal FIRST.

PETA is not - I repeat - NOT A GOOD CAUSE. Unless your idea of “good cause” is saying “goodbye” to whatever four-legged pet you own [and canonising sociopaths and the morally degenerate for throwing firebombs, threatening people, and in general acting like terrorists], that is.
I think YOU need to “just get real”.
If you look at all Kobe’s “modeling shots” on myspace there are lots of pictures with her in leather and one in a fur hat..
She also looks like she uses a lot of Botox which is tested on animals and is she vegan? I highly doubt it. I am not a hater but come on, this is just sad.
She doesn’t care she just wants exposure and to use poor animals for personal gain.. just horrible.
I hope next time PETA will find someone with a bit of Integrity and honesty.

Kobe Kaige Has Blood on her Hands…
As Americans learn more about People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals and its eccentric founder, Kobe Kaige should know the whole story. Despite the well-known animal rights group’s $30 million budget, it spends very little actually caring for adoptable animals. Instead, it kills them. By the thousands.
Government records show that between 1998 and 2005, PETA killed more than 14,000 dogs and cats at its Virginia headquarters. (The group refuses to release its 2006 numbers.) In 2005, PETA killed 90 percent of the pets in its care. Some were thrown in trash dumpsters. Most were incinerated. PETA’s donors footed the bill.
PETA has repeatedly attacked research foundations like the March of Dimes, the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the American Cancer Society, because they support animal-based research that might uncover cures for birth defects and life-threatening diseases. PETA president Ingrid Newkirk has said that “even if animal research resulted in a cure for AIDS, we would be against it.”
That’s not “ethical.” It’s hypocritical.
