Maybe ‘The Media’ Targets Dina Lohan Because She’s a Media Whore

dina_harpers.jpg

Cele|bitchy did our jobs for us while we were enjoying the long weekend and provided a useful guide that I like to call How Dina Lohan Is A Complete Fraud.

She went on The View yesterday and was asked about those rumors (with photos) that she and Lindsay party together sometimes. Dina cleared that up for us:

“That’s absolutely not true. I manage her and there are dads that are managers, I won’t mention names, in the business… she would have an event at a club and they would say I’m at a club, which is completely not true. I think they target women more than they do men unfortunately. It’s a man’s world. I was targeted and I was going through a lot publicly with the divorce and people just start rumors. I know who I am and trust me, I don’t party. I would rather go to dinner with everyone in this audience than with a 21 year-old.”

Interesting, because last year:

“I’m living the American dream, and you can go . . .” she exclaimed after Harper’s [Bazaar] asked her what she would say to critics of her parenting techniques.

In the interview in the April [2007] issue, the 44-year-old Lohan described how she’s more like a sister to her fire-haired daughter — going out to clubs with her and even wearing her old Prada jacket and Jimmy Choo boots.

“If you can button it and clip it when you’re in your 40s, you’re going out,” she said as she put her hand in the air to solicit a high-five from the Harper’s reporter.

She’s awesome.

Button it, and clip it? What does that mean? Did the reporter high five her back?

Let’s just stop paying attention to her - any attention. Time to shun Dina

She does not exist. She does not EXIST! She does NOT EXIST!! She DOES NOT EXIST!!! SHE DOES NOT EXIST!!!! lalalalalalalaalallalalalaallalalalalaalaaaa…………….crap

I think shunning is all we can do. As long as people watch, the Lohan clan isn’t going anywhere. Which begs the question, why would anyone watch?

  5. 5 Kurt Vile May 27th, 2008 at 11:15 pm

Why would we watch? Because the spectacle of a mother so attention-hungry that she would sacrifice not one but *two* of her children on the altar of fame is so astonishing that even the sanest of people can’t help but look on in horror. I don’t even have kids, and she disgusts me. A friend of mine had a kid that’s not even mine and I’m still more protective of that little monster than Dina is of her own.

I’m still not watching her f*cking show, though…

Way to pull the pseudo-feminist card in the first quote.

Kurt Vile, you have hit it on the nose once again. Sad, but true. I don’t watch reality shows anyway, but this is one I would avoid on principle, even though I have to admit that reading about the train wreck is astonishing, disgusting, and difficult to tear away from sometimes. Does that mean the public is just as sad?

I still say she’s hotter than either of her daughters. Especially leather faced Lindsay..lol.

What a lying media whore. She doesn’t care about her kids; it’s all about her. “She’s living the american dream”? What a joke; who the hell cares about her? She’s a media whoring loser, living vicariously through her daughters. Michael Lohan is a winner compared to this low flying paris smellton wannabe…

You know what? I’m with johnny.
