Today’s WTF Moment: Tila Tequila Takes Credit for Legalized Gay Marriage

tila_tequila_loveguru.jpgAs a MySpace phenom and the star of MTV’s dating show A Shot of Love, Tila Tequila is basically Generation Y’s platonic ideal.

She also has delusions of grandeur, because she thinks her TV show where she pretends to be bisexual is the real reason gay marriage has been legalized in California.

MTV reality queen Tila Tequila says she played a part in California recently dropping its ban on gay marriage.

“It is because of me — I definitely think [my show] has helped the movement,” she told Usmagazine.com at the Hollywood premiere of The Love Guru on Wednesday.

“Before it came out, everyone was still a little apprehensive about [same sex relationships],” she said. “Then they realized, ‘Wow, everyone is really into this stuff, and it is fine.’ The next thing you know, [gay marriage] is legal.”

Guys, she’s not even gay! Not to mention, I somehow think the California Supreme Court has better things to do than watch MTV, unless they’re all former cast members on The Hills (which I’ll grant is entirely possible).

    Can she even spell “grandeur”?

  2. 2 Chronic Malanga Jun 12th, 2008 at 5:04 pm

She’s just another idiot that needs to go away and take Heidi, Spencer, and Paris with her.

  3. 3 Toubrouk Jun 12th, 2008 at 6:12 pm

Can I take credit for the discovery of America?

  4. 4 katie Jun 12th, 2008 at 6:31 pm

i agree with Chronic Malanga.. what an idiot this loser is! MTV has the dumbest crap shows, and did anyone even watch hers??

Brilliant deductive reasoning there. Could she come off as any more self-absorbed? Can’t imagine how.

I’m guessing Massachusetts doesn’t count as a state.

And it didn’t need her selfish ass.

MTV should change its title to “The Desperate Dating Network”.

Because that’s all that it is. A bunch of shallow, desperate college-aged tools who wonder why they can’t get a date. I never watched the show, because I think I’d feel too dirty, but I can assure you that “(C*m) Shot of Love” is no different from every other “reality” show on MTV, and if absolutely nothing else dehumanizes and exploits the homosexual community.

I agree with Christina X. Her show and attitude (which is indicitave of MTV’s attitude on the whole) diminishes the gay community.

Girl-on-girl fake soft porn is NOT helping the same-sex marriage cause. She’s delusional.

  10. 10 Kurt Vile Jun 13th, 2008 at 10:33 am

You know what helped the gay marriage cause? The two wonderful lesbians who lived next door to my extremely conservative Mormon parents for the last 15 years. They were older, they were boring, and they worried about their garden. They weren’t attention-whoring, LOOKATMELOOKATME fake-bi celebrities, they were just two women who loved the hell out of each other for the past four decades while the government said they weren’t good enough to be recognized as committed to each other. Meanwhile, Britney Spears marries a drunken hookup, a backup dancer, and probably a goddamned box turtle, all with full legal standing, and at the same time Caroline dies of breast cancer leaving her devoted partner of half her life without a goddamned legal leg to stand on, all because those filthy sodomites don’t deserve the same legal protections as the saintly, Christian Brit-Brit and Denise Richards.

    F*ck that self-absorbed, mantis-looking c*nt. She didn’t help a goddamned thing.

Yeah, it’s early and I’m drunk and pissed off. I apologise…

Christina X, ,Nasty41, Kurt Vile…all had very great points of view!!! (take the time to read them)

This Tila tramp is retarted and it’s mind blowing that SHE thinks she has anything to do with a landmark court decision. What she’s really doing is being a public whore. She’s making out with girls and guys and has dozens of them for her taking, while being paid to do so….being paid for your sexual favors qualifies as a whore/prostitute. I don’t see how having one woman swap spit and who knows what all types of juices with dozens of men and women has anything to do with court. I’m not mad you’re getting paid for being a whore, I’m just upset that she thinks HER t*ts and @zz have anything to do with the judicial systems decisions.

In order for her to have credit for this, something would have had to actually change in California. Nothing has. The people who voted to ban gay marriage still most likely want it banned, but as with everything else, a court gets to step in and subvert the will of millions of voters at a whim.

Kern County (Bakersfield) has announced that Friday will be the last day they’ll do marriage certificates for ANYONE. You wanna get married, you’ll have to go to another county. Lets see how long it takes for a court to step in this time to tell us all how they know better than the citizens of an area how that area should be governed. Seriously, why even have referendums anymore? Let’s just cut out the middle man and let the courts draw up the laws themselves.

That’s actually a beautiful thing Kurt Vile said. And MTV doesn’t just air dating shows, let us not forget the spoiled rich kid birthday party show in which rich daddies show thier love by having the biggest and bestest birthday party ever for his kid and then ruins it by getting a brand new sports car instead of the Range Rover! I hate MTV. I pray my daughters will not find this entertainment.

    So, um, who is she?

  17. 17 Ria Jun 13th, 2008 at 11:55 pm

Oh chill out all you douchebags, take the sticks from your rectum for 2 seconds. She was joking. Some people really don’t have sarcasm detectors…

  18. 18 Pastafarian Jun 14th, 2008 at 9:39 am

I agree Ria. Tia is really, really funny, and unbelievably attractive.

    Now THAT’S sarcasm.

  19. 19 R. Corrino Jun 14th, 2008 at 7:45 pm

    @Kurt Vile

I agree with everything you said…..up to the part “Yeah, it’s early and I’m drunk”. I don’t know when you wrote this but 10:30 AM is not early…. though if you were drunk well yeah, I can see how that can be…

    Kurt Vile, I love you.

  21. 21 Aleric Jun 16th, 2008 at 11:04 am

Two words to sum up Miss Tequila……..Anne Heche.
