Even for $300 which I would never pay for a face cream even if I had the cash to burn on that sort of thing, there's a huge difference between slapping some cream on your face before bed and having someone take a scalpel to it. Mositerisers are good for ones skin and recommend to keep you supple and lovely looking in a somewhat natural way.
