Anne Hathaway Gets Smart, Dumps Her Loser BF

anne_raffaello.jpg Anne Hathaway heeded some very good advice and dumped Raffaello Follieri, her boyfriend of forever, now that he’s being investigated for shady financial deals involving his charity.

An insider tells the Mail Online that Hathaway made the painful decision to end their relationship because of the effects his controversial business dealings could have on her career.

Hathaway served as a director on the charity’s board until some time last year, with her rep saying: “Since she is no longer associated with the foundation, why would you expect her to be familiar with all of this,” when asked about the investigation.

A source said: “It’s heartbreaking for her to dump him, and she’s devastated that it’s come to this, but she really didn’t have a choice. His scandals were hurting her reputation.”

See what happens when you deceive? Your pretty, pretty girlfriend leaves your sorry butt curbside! Well played, Anne.

Yea, there goes a reason to dump someone you love, you’re hurting my career. Her answer to his 21 questions were I love you right up until it becomes inconvenient for me. Ahh, true love!

Plus he’s a dork. I mean look at him.

This guy looks almost exactly the same in all these pictures! No wonder he’s writing bad checks, homeboy needs some new clothes!

  4. 4 Rocko Jun 18th, 2008 at 12:01 am

jlynn, if those were the clothes you met Anne Hathaway in and she became your girlfriend, would you ever take them off? I know I wouldn’t.

    Wow; girl is a dolly.

The guy seemed like a major tool, but before I read the blog in its entirety, I was kind of rooting for Anne Hathaway.

I don’t think I care for her too much either. While she could have, you know, dumped him for the fact alone that he was screwing over a charity, Ms. Pristine only dumped him because he was “hurting her reputation”, which in celebutwat code, means he made her look bad and she couldn’t handle it.

She’s probably blowing him right now.

So she’s a “twat” because she’s concerned about her reputation and she dumped a guy who turned out to be a sleazy, conniving con artist who was pretty much committing hard-core fraud?

Damn, Christina. I want to date you. I could do pretty much anything I wanted to you and you’d just stay all Tammy Wynette and stand by your man. I’m glad that you have such a bulletproof reputation that you could date Hitler and be cool with it.

Or does having standards only apply to non-famous people?

So she got what she wanted out of him, which is money, and NOW leaves him. She lived in penthouses and flew in private jets on his dime. Not really his dime but all the money he stole. But she was on the board of one of his companies which was stealing all this money. She should also be investigated for stealing. She knew what he was and didn’t care because B-list actress could never have lived that lifestyle if it wasn’t for him. Or maybe this is all a publicity stunt and she’ll get back with him after her new movie is already released and forgotten.

  9. 9 Aleric Jun 18th, 2008 at 5:39 pm

Standards?? Perhaps she should have watched a few of the Disney movies she starred in, maybe some of the morals would have rubbed off on her………nahh, what was I thinking.

  10. 10 Kurt Vile Jun 18th, 2008 at 5:58 pm

    “B-list actress?”

DEVIL WEARS PRADA - Worldwide: $326,354,537
PRINCESS DIARIES 2: ROYAL ENGAGEMENT - Worldwide: $134,734,481
    PRINCESS DIARIES - Worldwide: $165,335,153

And she’s about to co-star in what looks like it’ll be one of the biggest comedies of the summer.

Yes, definitely a b-list actress. Don’t know what I was thinking there. And there’s certainly no way she’s ever seen the inside of a private jet. Nope. Definitely never happened. She never would have made anything of herself without his money.

Yeah, I’m going to have to go with Kurt on this one. I think it was wise of Hathaway to dispose of a boyfriend who was breaking the law, especially if she could be associated with the dealings. It’s also important to note that the release says that this wasn’t a cakewalk for Hathaway–if she stayed with him after all this time, it must have been very hard to sever ties. I think she made the right decision in choosing not to keep dating him.

And, yeah, for those of you who think Hathaway is B-list, I’d suggest you look at that whole Oscar invite she recieved. And Kurt, don’t forget about Brokeback Mountain either. :)

  12. 12 jlynn Jun 18th, 2008 at 9:29 pm

Well, I can’t answer that cause, ya know, I’m a woman and not very attracted to her of really any other woman. Maybe that’s why she dumped him. I’t didn’t have anything to do with his legal problems, she wanted a little variety in his wardrobe!
So, my advice to you Rocko, should you pick up Anne Hathaway would be to change your outfits. It doesn’t always have to be a white shirt, sports coat and jeans. Mix it up a little! Good Luck!

  13. 13 Pastafarian Jun 18th, 2008 at 9:59 pm

Oscar’s determine everything. Know who’s won an Oscar? Geena Davis, Nicholas Cage, Halle Berry. They get invited to every Oscar thing now.

  14. 14 Kurt Vile Jun 18th, 2008 at 10:23 pm

Oh, I didn’t forget. I just limited the numbers to starring and costarring roles. I knew if I mentioned Brokeback I’d get yelled at for listing a movie that she played a minor role in.

  15. 15 Christina X Jun 19th, 2008 at 4:01 am

I just think it seems a little odd how she stayed with him up until this became public

I think she should have dumped him for a better reason, for what he did, and it also seems a bit queer that his own girlfriend with whom he was “very close” didn’t know any of this has been going on beforehand.

The minute I would have found out *my* boyfriend was ripping off charities, I would have left him and not waited until he became exposed.

Of course, that’s just what I would have done. I digress.

    Christina will You bl-w me?

  17. 17 tina Jun 24th, 2008 at 8:33 pm

hey christina’s right, anne has to be either severely mentally ill or just as a conniving bitch as her (ex) boyfriend to not know that he was doing such shady sh*t. for those who stick up for her I guess you would date and have a good time with a f**ker who stole from a childrens charity then dump him when the sh*t hit the fan. ok good but those of us with a bit higher morals have a right to look down at the bitch. obviously she’s succeeded in decieving you
