According to the Carpetbagger Report, a group of Republican senators has reintroduced the Federal Marriage Amendment, AKA the “Omigod, What Does Sulu Think He’s Doing?” Act. And wouldn’t you know it, two of the sponsors are Larry “The Toilet Tapdancer” Craig and David “Pays Women Other Than His Wife for Sex” Vitter. Consider the institution of marriage saved from the brink!
Remember when Mick Jagger and David Bowie teamed up to do that cover of “Dancing in the Street,” and it was like rockstar-squared? This is kind of the same deal, except with hypocrisy instead of music. And even gayer.

I don’t think ANYTHING could be gayer than Mick Jagger/David Bowie’s “Dancing in the Street”.
Pasta took the words right outta my fingertips! Damn you!
When are these sorry excuses for Senators going to realize that they should stop trying to legislate morality? Stick to things you’re good at, like picking our pockets, outfitting our troops with faulty body armor, and mucking up our foreign policy.
Leave moral issues to the state governments! At least that way if we don’t like California’s gay marriage law, we can move to Utah! Yeah, that’s the ticket …
Nothing to add, really, I just want to say the title of this is hilarious. wonder if Larry Craig googles himself….
That video was very gay…
But yeah, I’ve with Golliwog and would be even more thrilled if morality were not legislated at all.
Well actually morality has always been legislated in a very vague, broad sense. It is against the law to kill (sometimes) or steal (unless you are a politician). Right or wrong? Who decides? I personally think it is more ok than not for a starving person to steal an apple, but the law would disagree. But yeah, methinks they try to go too far sometimes.
You said it better than I could have llamasrule.
Of course, Of course, two guys who are married but don’t honor marriage trying to pass a law telling others what to do concerning marriage.
Hey, regardless of what you think of the basic concept, I’ve read the police report for Craig’s arrest (it’s over at The Smoking Gun, IIRC). I have rarely in my life seen a bigger crock of sh** excuse for an arrest than that one. If the officers in question weren’t bitchslapped by the court, they should have been. So using that against the man is a very cheap shot.
