Hey, Maybe Sting Really Is Saving the Planet!

According to New Scientist:

Goodbye air pollution and smoky chimneys, hello brighter days. That’s been the trend in Europe for the past three decades — but unfortunately cleaning up the skies has allowed more of the sun’s rays to pierce the atmosphere, contributing to at least half the warming that has occurred…

“The decrease in aerosols probably accounts for at least half of the warming over Europe in the last 30 years,” says Rolf Philipona, a co-author of the study at MeteoSwiss, Switzerland’s national weather service.

I take back what I said before about all your private-jetting around, Gordon. You’re actually trying to make things cooler, environmentally if not musically. Keep up the good work!

Ok, I give up. Remove pollution, let more sun in, more warming occurs. Who can keep up with this stuff!!

Translation, no matter what we do it will never be enough and something new will come along to replace the current global crisis.

Wait, so less carbon = more warming, more carbon = more warming. Guess what environmentalists? You win! You beat me with your logic and scientific fact.

Environmentalists and all those global warming alarmists are making a pretty penny out of being alarming. The earth is going to do what the earth does. It all goes in cycles, and while not being wasteful and doing one’s little part is good, we’re not going to collectively save the planet from the next ice age or great warming trend. Climate change happens, and it happened millions of years ago. Dinosaurs weren’t using aerosols…

Oh thank god. I thought I’d have to extinguish the tire-fueled eternal flame memorial in my back yard. Flame on tires!!!!

Have you guys heard about global DIMMING? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/tvradio/programmes/horizon/dimming_prog_summary.shtml
Now, are MORE AEROSOLS and MORE GREENHOUSE GASES (made by HUMANS!) really that good for our environment? Do something, G8!

Another from the “you can’t please these people” page. THe UN says that efforts to fight global warming are releasing more ozone destroying chemicals. MMM two great scams that taste great together.
