Then you add all this allegedly stuff, which is really 3/4ths main media not covering it. If they really did cover it the story would carry much more weight (and who knows, maybe it will start to fly in a few days/weeks).

Even now, he’s leading in the latest Rasmussen poll. He’s still got delegates at the convention, and was expected to speak. He is a public figure. He puts quite a bit of effort into it, actually.

You’re actually trying to say there’s no story in a past and possibly future candidate for Vice President of the United States of America having a child out of wedlock, pushing his assistant out in front of the public as the real father, and sneaking around in the middle of the night to see the mistress. How many stories in the news every day really “effect” you in any discernible manner? If they don’t, does that mean they’re not news?

You’re asking for a conclusion where there hasn’t even been a beginning. I’d say reporting on an obvious news story would be a fine start. Oh yeah, I forgot, it’s not enough to write down the facts. Journalism has to have a narrative.
