Miley Cyrus Hangs Up Her Hannah Montana Wig

Could this be the end of Miley Cyrus’s Deceiver reign? The pop tart has announced that she’s ready to move on from Hannah Montana.

To the dismay of her young fans, the 15-year-old star has signalled that the next season is probably the last.

Cyrus has been playing her pop star alter ego since the age of 11 and is keen to take her career in a more mature direction.

“We’re thinking this is our last season,” the teenager told E! News, explaining that working on the show has been tiring: “I just think we did a lot of episodes. We basically did two seasons in one season last year. Usually people would do one season that would be 16 episodes, and we did almost 30 episodes.”

Something tells me Disney helped her make this decision.

And anyway, this announcement coincides nicely with her latest round of racy photos released by the iPhone hacker Train Req. Nothing you haven’t seen before, kids.

“Something tells me Disney helped her make this decision.”

I couldn’t agree more. She’ll probably spend her eighteenth birthday doing a Playboy spread. ;)

Wishful thinking Discordia, despite the money thrown at them none of the other starlots (not that I’m counting Miley among them yet) hasn’t done a Playboy spread.

I don’t think Disney helped her make the decision, Ijust don’t think there are any compelling reasons for her to do the show anymore. She has an album under her own name out now, she’s got name recognition as Miley Cyrus, so now it’s time for her to David Caruso her career, make way for the next pre-teen superstar and try to pull off an Alyssa Milano-ish comeback.

Rocko: I have the feeling that she’s going to be the next Jessica Simpson/Lindsay Lohan/Hillary Duff. I still believe that she’ll do Playboy given her proclivity for soft porn posing.

    @Rocko: “Alyssa Milano-ish comeback”
What’s she doing that is qualifiably a comeback????

I don’t think she’s skipping towards Tart-Land just yet. Okay, we say a couple of pictures lately but it is quite tame compared to the stuff we saw from Vanessa Hudgens.

The truth is, I believe she’s getting too old for her act as Hannah Montana. Her public is also getting older and need something more mature. She might just slip towards full Pop-Music like Hillary Duff.

As long as I don’t see a nipple, I wouldn’t call her a Tart. On the other side, it is just my own opinion.

I always wonder why do these girls have to show they are getting older and try to transition in a sexy way. Aren’t there other ways to transition to an adult career? i commented cause I try not to be a lurker. :)

See a nipple? Hum. okay. Well whatever. No matter. My teens are not watching her and neither are my pre-teens and the Hannah Montana backpack went back to the store. Underplaying this kind of thing is what puts these kids (and she is a kid) on the road to slutdom. Remember when Lohan was a sweet little fresh faced girl? I do. I remember Britney that way, too. They will never live their behavior down. Someone has to set an example for the kids besides their parents. These girls aren’t it.

I would have to say that Alyssa Milano was never in the same situation as Miley, but I do see the comparisons to Britteny and Lindsey. Milano at least waited till she was over 18 to start flashing skin and baring her assets.

SHE IS A SLUT AND A WHORE

    re: my Alyssa Milano comment:
It’s a prediction much like the Playboy posing. And when I say comeback, I mean she fades away, does a couple B-movies and then gets anther TV role.

And Discordia, the type of posing she is doing is more likely to lead to a Maxim or FHM spread, not Playboy despite it’s “artsy” “tasteful” nudes.

  12. 12 Discordia Aug 4th, 2008 at 7:09 pm

Rocko: I thought that Playboy did “artful” and “tasty” nudes. ;)

  13. 13 Christina X Aug 4th, 2008 at 11:10 pm

Yeah, the minute she turns at 18, she’ll do anything and everything to prove that she’s “not a little girl anymore” as the rest of them have.

That photo of her is not pornographic by any standard and it’s not even so much that she’s wearing a bikini, but her body language still screams “F*ck me!”

She could very well be wearing a tank top and jeans or actually posing naked, and the photos would be considered equally sexually suggestive because of how she’s posing. It’s sexy when twenty two year old WOMEN take photos like that, but it’s disturbing when 15 year old girls do it.

  14. 14 Rocko Aug 4th, 2008 at 11:23 pm

I don’t know about tasty, the paper or the inks they use have a terrible aftertaste .. um, or so I’ve been told.

  15. 15 katie Aug 5th, 2008 at 12:41 am

good call deceiver, i’m sure disney helped her with that one! i’m sick of her popping up everywhere, and for all we know she could be behind the “leaked photos” i don’t know, i’m just sick of her!

  16. 16 Chronic Malanga Aug 5th, 2008 at 4:20 am

I couldn’t agree more with Christina X’s comment.

I am sure Disney is tired of the damage control issue that Miley presents, and while sure, she’s probably too old for the Hannah Montana role anyway, I doubt that she’s going to be doing a whole lot more for Disney in the future because of all the photos. They are probably all too happy to concentrate on the new crop of tween idols while they can still control them.

I also think that katie is onto something with the “leaks”. She strikes me as a major exhibitionist teen that is rebelling against her image in sneaky, passive aggressive ways.

“she’s got name recognition as Miley Cyrus”

Oh yeah; she’s got “name recognition”.

Too bad the “recognition” is fast becoming synonymous with “slut-in-training”.

  20. 20 Sally Aug 13th, 2008 at 1:29 am

Miley Cyrus shouldn’t quite Hannah Montana because she has so many young fans that idol her on that show and I think that if she finishes hannah montana she might lose alot of her current fans.

  21. 21 Kendra Aug 13th, 2008 at 11:36 am

I’m glad hannah isn’t going to do the show anymore because for one she cant sing and two the show is so stupid. Like who would hide an ego that a pop star!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I can’t wait til the show’s over.
