MTV has gone down the drain completely.. and i’m so glad this no talent slut isn’t back for a third season. i’ve never watched her show but hearing about it made me sick. so she’s a myspace hoe with a lot of friends? and? that makes her qualified for some crap reality show? mtv is always trying to shove some loser down our throats, and now it’s time they find a new person i guess!

I miss the days when MTV was just somewhere to watch videos for a few mind numbing minutes in between chores. It makes me almost physically ill to watch anything on MTV nowadays, and I don’t care if I am showing my age.

The difference between MTV and VH1 is that MTV is more programmed toward, immateure, neurotic, and unlikeable shallow college students who wonder why they can’t get dates; VH1 is geared toward has-beens and wannabe has-beens.

Meaning that in a few years from today and Tila finally chubs up or loses her “charm”, you’ll see her on one of those trite celebreality shows.

I don’t watch either one so it really doesn’t matter much to me. I’m actually ancient enough to remember when MTV was brand new. And if you added it all up I swear I haven’t seen more than one hour of MTV in my entire life.

I just wasn’t, and am not at all interested in anything that happens on those channels.

Well, Pasta, I guess the difference is how people perceive MTV versus VH1. Stereotypically VH1 has older viewers - i.e. less impressionable viewers. MTV still somehow appeals to younger viewers, which makes me both weep and vomit for the future. I mean, seriously, you’ll never want to stab your eyes out more than when you’re watching Next or Date my Mom.

Content-wise, though, there is little difference between the level of skank exhibited in, let’s say, Rock of Love and Shot at Love. But since A Shot at Love is intended for teenage viewers and Rock of Love is intended for people who remember Bret Michaels…I think MTV is skankier. VH1 has fewer trashy shows as well, while MTV has absolute garbage like the previously mentioned Next or Date my Mom.

Also, I just woke up, so if this doesn’t make a lot of sense I apologize.
