Yesterday the Newark Star-Ledger tried to talk to Rielle Hunter’s old business partner Mimi Hockman (pictured), as I recommended almost two weeks ago. They approached Hockman at her home in New Jersey, but she wasn’t too cooperative. Which isn’t surprising at this point. Nor is this (emphasis mine):
Mary “Mimi” Hockman, who lives in South Orange, partnered with Rielle Hunter on Midline Groove Productions, the video production company that had a $100,000-plus contract to produce a series of videos for the Edwards campaign in 2006…
More information about Midline Groove was scarce yesterday. While the “webisodes” Hunter made following Edwards on the campaign trail are now getting wide internet circulation, the website for Midline Groove itself has been taken down.

That’s it. No pics, no other hyperlinks, no incriminating evidence of an illegitimate baby or surreptitious cash payments… nothing. The only thing notable about it, as far as I can tell, is that they named their company after the indentation in the middle of your upper lip. (Is that where the cocaine tends to collect?) That and the whole thing about “revealing truth,” which apparently is no longer a priority.
But now the site has gone down the memory hole, along with Rielle’s site, Bob McGovern’s resume and contact info, and who knows what else. If John Edwards is telling the whole truth, why does information about people who might be able to confirm his story keep disappearing from the Internet?
Well, mimihockman.com is still up. For now.

- The LA Times keeps rockin’ with a profile of Lee Stranahan. And they note: “Fox News has a story today that includes the information about Young’s criminal record that Stranahan had in his Monday post. They do not credit Stranahan.” Imagine that…
- Overlawyered: “Where did Andrew Young get his money?”
- At one point Rielle and the Young family were living under the same roof. That would be Andrew Young, his wife and their three kids, and his purported mistress and her baby. All in the same house. Which Fred Baron was paying for. And Edwards knew nothing about it. And Baron didn’t know about Edwards’ affair. So the logical question is: How much do all these people spend per month on food for their seeing-eye dogs?

I first noticed Midline Groove was down on August 11, 2008.
The site included a light blue background with a pair of silhouetted pursed lips, prominently displaying the midline groove, a laymen’s term that cosmetic physicians use for the philtrum, the center space immediately above your upper lip.
Many on the internet have speculated that John Edwards overuse of Botox is the reason the upper half of his face seemed curiously immovable in his ‘confession’.
I’m not sure I would read much into her ‘contractually bound’ statement.
If she was prevented by contract from discussing it, the contract would probably prevent that also, plus it would be the first thing out of her mouth when she saw the press.
After all, she’s had almost a year to get ready for the arrival of the press, wouldn’t she have prepared herself for what to say?
She could’ve just walked inside, saw the press didn’t leave, have a family member write out a one sentence statement on a piece of scrap paper, sign it, and her statement would still be accurate.
Inside Edition offers an ancient photo of a very different looking Rielle Hunter, most likely supplied by her sister Roxanne Marshall.
Either the “cocaine-addled” years and “drug use from the eighties” have destroyed her face, or she had a traumatic incident, because it appears to be a completely different person.

I wonder if anyone is asking those folks at Internet Archive, creaters of the Internet Wayback Machine and renters of space from the Presidio, a taxpayer funded Federal Enclave, who contacted them and asked them to take down Rielle Hunter’s website (twice).

Now Learjet is a brand of aircraft, not a generic aircraft, and Bombardier purchased them in 1990, so those searching international flight plans might look for both names, (assuming the Post is not using the term generically).

Knowing Rielle Hunter, she wouldn’t agree to a third world country, unless it was India and she could practice Yoga with a well known guru there. Otherwise third world would be beneath her, so if she had her choice it would be Europe somewhere.
She’s probably got red or black hair now and dark sunglasses, but she’ll show up.
Young kids and moms need medical care, so it probably wouldn’t be anywhere too far from advanced medicine, and she would never agree to be separated from the child.
John Edwards is probably ‘blind’ on this issue as to have plausible deniability, while Fred Baron is probably still acting as puppet master.
Plaintiff’s lawyers employ a lot of private detectives, and if I was to guess, I’d guess that these steps were being carried out by a private detective agency that has worked for Fred Baron before.
Maybe Edwards/Baron have decided to follow my “How to hide your mistress” steps from August 7 (http://deceiver.com/2008/08/07/john-edwards-actually-used-to-like-the-internet/#comments) and have moved her to a non english speaking country.

On August 6 on Deceiver a post linked to the now deleted Ginny’s Community site:
Turns out a NBA player was on that list, Steven Montross.
Andrew Young was staying at 42340 Archdale, but listed his address as 43430 Archdale on Ginny’s Community site. Sure it may have been a typo, but it may have been an intentional switch of two numbers to prevent searchers from finding out the true owner was Eric Montross.
The list is still archived on Google by searching “42430 Archdale” (in quotes). Anyone could match up actual addresses against actual names and determine which addresses and names were fictitious or suspicious.
Investigate the ten or so that are left.
Taking a look at the Huffington Posts online donor map that list, shows a Stephen Zayton that is heavy Edwards donor that lived right down the street from the Archdale address.
