Loren Feldman is a tech blogger of some repute, apparently. Valleywag refers to him as “the Don Imus of Silicon Valley,” which may or may not be a compliment. Feldman, who’s not known for mincing words — I’m not sure what he is known for, but it’s not that — now has some free advice for Fred Baron. As you’ll recall, Baron is the former finance chair for the John Edwards campaign and, coincidentally, current benefactor of Rielle Hunter:
If that’s not a face and voice you want to experience for longer than 10 seconds, here’s a transcript of the relevant portion:
Here’s the first thing, bro. You gotta to stop talking to your kid. He’s got a big mouth, and he’s an imbecile. You already know this. You know this, okay? I know it’s a tough time for you, and you’re trying to circle the troops and get the family back together, but he’s the weak link. The weak link. You know what I’m saying? He’s got a big mouth, and he’s an imbecile involved in this blogging community. He’s already FriendFeeding and Twittering dates when you knew stuff and didn’t know stuff. He’s gonna get you in a lot of trouble, Fred.
“Your kid” is Andrew Baron, co-founder of the popular(?) videoblog Rocketboom. As Valleywag has noted, Rocketboom and the Edwards campaign go way back.
I checked Andrew’s Twitter page and FriendFeed page, and the Google caches of those pages, but I couldn’t find any mention of the Edwards/Hunter fiasco. Feldman’s video was posted on Aug. 15, and I think Google caches everything up to a week ago, right? So if Andrew did give out dates when his dad knew stuff and didn’t know stuff, he deleted it from both pages at some point between 8/15 and 8/18. Which would be par for the course, if you’ve been following this story.
(Hat tip: Fortunate Son)
However, Andrew did defend his dad in the comments at Valleywag:
My father is one of the most awesome people out there and has done more to help the world than most individuals are capable of.
Which seems kind of odd, considering he was commenting on a post about how his own dad sued him to recover the $800,000 he invested in Rocketboom. Awesome!
Update: Okay, I did find some comments from Andrew Baron on the FriendFeed page for uber-techblogger Dave Winer. On 8/10, Winer said (hyperlink mine):
So [Robert] Scoble is famous cause [sic] he took a picture of Edwards with his mistress (he didn’t know) but there’s someone else in the blogging community who is connected to this affair, but he has yet to come forward and offer a perspective. I’ve been wondering whether I shoudl [sic] say anything about it.
And Andrew replied:
If you mean me, I’m still waiting to hear back from my Dad [sic], but in the meantime, I decided that I am very pissed off at JRE - he put his own personal ego way above the good of the world. I just cant [sic] even fathom how he could go so far when the steaks [sic] are so high. Had he become elected the nominee and then people found out, Mccain [sic] might have won and the amount of damage it would do the world is just unfathomable. Hard to imagine a more selfish act.
Andrew made several other comments on the same page, including this one:
I was likely trusted by the JRE campaign because of my Dad [sic], but in 2004 I established a relationship with their online dept [sic] myself. And Im [sic] pretty proud of that actually. I was somewhat of a non-offical [sic] advisor. I was then trying to help the campaign with their video efforts for the 2008 election and was often asked what I thought of Hunters [sic] videos - to which I always replied that I didn’t think they were very effective. With regards to the trip, the online dept [sic] wanted videobloggers to cover it and asked Rocketboom (so I asked Chuck on our behalf) and I also recommended Scoble. Rocketboom’s relationship to JRE was often disclosed on Rocketboom and I always spoke freely about my Dad [sic] to people, like Dave for instance.
(I’m not sure who “Chuck” is.) And finally, Andrew said:
Update: I just spoke with my dad. He said that he had no knowledge whatsoever of John Edwards [sic] affair and just learned about it for the first time about 2 weeks ago.
Which is of course the official line. It makes complete sense that for the better part of a year, Fred Baron has been spending huge amounts of cash on Rielle Hunter and the Andrew Young family, shuttling them all over the place to help them dodge the National Enquirer’s story about John & Rielle’s affair… without having any knowledge whatsoever of John & Rielle’s affair. Why would you even try to connect the two?
Anyway, maybe this is what Loren Feldman was talking about. And now we can add the techblogging community to the story. It’s just another sign that Edwards had no clue what he was getting into when he became the “Internet-savvy candidate.” Actually, if there’s anything he did have a clue about, please let me know.
More J&R stuff:
- Roger Friedman says Edwards was seen at the Beverly Hilton a month before he got caught by the Enquirer.
- Did you donate to the Edwards campaign? Do you want your money back? DBKP has more. (At this point, Edwards must think it stands for Damn Bloggers Keep Probing!)
- I’m not sure what’s gotten more media coverage, the John Edwards affair or the media’s initial failure to cover the John Edwards affair. For the latest on the latter story, see the Washington Post.
- NewTeeVee analyzes Virginia Heffernan’s analysis of web video series, using Rielle’s dopey campaign videos as Exhibit A. (I refuse to link directly to the NYT until they admit they stole from us. Which is to say, never.) And over at the LA Times, Bradley W. Bloch has an opinion piece about how the Edwards scandal relates to social networking. It’s funny how quickly these newspapers flip-flopped from “It’s not news” to “Let’s find any excuse whatsoever to mention it.”
- According to Deceiver supercommenter Kris, the aforementioned “Chuck” is Chuck Olsen. Chuck was also filming the Edwards campaign, but presumably without the extracurricular activities.
- The NYDN says Edwards has been calling up his former staffers and confidants to beg for forgiveness. Don’t you have to come clean before you can be forgiven? Sounds like some of his old buddies think so:
When Edwards reached one longtime confidant asking for advice, he was cut off with a terse: “I don’t want you to call me again.”
- Back in Dec. ‘06, Jeff Jarvis looked at all of Edwards’ videoblogging and other online activities — you know, the evidence trail — and asked:
Is this all just a publicity stunt to look modern and cool or is this a turning point in how campaigns are run? We’ll know in about a decade.
Less than two years, actually…
- Bob Schieffer on the Edwards scandal, Dec. ‘07:
“I believe that — I believe that’s a story that we will be avoiding, because it appears to me that there’s absolutely nothing to it. I’m told that another — a man says that the child is his. I’m told that the woman who seems to be pregnant says it’s not his. So I guess — I guess we’re going to pass on that.”
CBS’s Bob Schieffer defended the media’s reluctance to cover John Edwards’s extramarital affair, saying Edwards’s candidacy was over and “I don’t see that we have time to be fooling with this.”
Ladies and gentlemen: Journalism.
- A couple of weeks ago, I said that this whole thing makes the Amy Fisher story look like a cute prank. Guess who else thinks so? Mary Jo Buttafuoco.
- Funny stuff!

Go to Rocketboom and an interview John Edwards did with Amanda Congdon on Fri. Feb. 24, 2006 “Casual Friday”. I think he was in New York City, and they were in a hotel room. I remember thinking when I first saw this that he was flirting with her and she with him. I thought surely not she’s close to his daughter’s age. Good Grief, Charlie Brown. This isn’t their only interview. Amanda also did video for One America. Maybe he passed up AC for a 40 y/o. At least more age appropriate. Unless———Did Amanda graduate from Duke? PS: read the comments. I’m not the only one who noticed. I would link this but I don’t know how. PPS: This was one of the last interviews he did with AC. The previous videos were done right after the 2004 election and she did several at the beginning of the One America Blog. Not the Campaign website. I wondered how someone so new got such an interview. Looks like AC was on the way out as RH was on the way in. Just food for thought, not an accusation as to relationship. We now know JE had other connections with Rocketboom.
“The steaks are high?” Andrew’s parents probably spent a fortune on his education and look at what they got. No wonder Pop wanted his $800K back.
“…if there’s anything he did have a clue about, please let me know.”
Apparently he’s pretty good at knocking-up empty-headed hose-bags.
According to Wikipedia, Amanda Congdon graduated from Northwestern. She’s not a “Dookie.”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amanda_Congdon
As Napoleon stated “4 hostile newspapers are more to be feared than a thousand bayonets.” But in Edwards case it was only 1.
Here is more info on “Chuck” - he along with Robert Scoble and other tech-bloggers were invited along when Edwards launched his campaign in December 2006. Chuck was working for Rocketboom and it’s funny that he says:
“On that flight, there was a lot of booze and elation, excitement and hope. Edwards was in the back of the plane with Rielle, and a couple of other campaign staffers. I remember Edwards turning on his iPod and grooving his head around. I went back to use the bathroom and when I came out, decided to chat with Rielle. She was very outgoing, maybe even flirtatious, but really nice. I asked how she got the gig filming webisodes, and she said she met him in a bar and they clicked, and she proposed some online documentary showing his authenticity. She told me about some Hollywood sitcom writing and other weird projects she’d been involved with - nothing I’d ever heard of.
Unfortunately, I’ve always held a small seed of suspicion that the affair rumors could be true from my short experience with the campaign. But I’m nevertheless very saddened to hear it’s true, especially sad for Elizabeth Edwards who is an even more inspiring figure than John Edwards.”
So, Chuck was working for Andrew Baron and had his suspicions about Rielle and Andrew even says in his Tweets that he was shown the webisodes and wasn’t much impressed, but Daddy Baron had no idea about any of this Rielle Affair business until two weeks ago?!?
Oh, here’s the link to that Chuck info:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/blogumentary/2744294493/
Strawberry G,
LOL! I caught that unintentional meat reference as well. Sad, sad sad. It looks pretty obvious that Andrew’s father got him to tow the line.
And this is yet another example of the potential for Internet censorship due to familial or business connections. (whether it is because your Daddy or the person who endorsed your new book is a player in the news.) I’d like to see this angle of the story explored further because I think these are important questions for this relatively new medium.
JE is going to wish he had never heard of a blog or you-tube.
About the campaign returning the contributions, I am glad that DBKP is doing a detailed story on that. I never really thought about what happened to contributions when the candidates drop out and I hope they all get their money back before it all goes to pay for the latest designer stroller and a mommy/baby spiritual retreat in Tibet. While we are talking about it, can anyone give me a simple explanation of the benefits of “bundling” contributions? I read the Wiki entries but still did not quite get it. Are the bundlers soliciting contributions from friends and family and how does this differ from an individual donating on his/her own? Just curious.
Maybe the kid is not stupid. Maybe, unlike his father, he is moral.
Loren Feldman sounds like he is talking to a fellow organized crime member. “Ya’ gotta’ shut that kid up! Eees a loose cannon!” Hmmm…
One of JE’s ex-staffers put it best: “It’s pathetic.”
Roger, I thought the same thing. Nobody wants to think their father is a bad guy who covers for scumbags. I think most of the people who bought into JE were thrilled to see a candidate with a seemingly populist perspective. Andrew may well be a decent guy. Likewise, I would not hold Lisa Druck responsible because her father was accused of having her horse killed for money. My opinions of her have been formed by her own actions.
Soon, every media source in the world will realize Fred Baron is a much bigger story than John Edwards.
I was glad to see that Fred Baron and the other 7 Baron family members in Dallas and (daughter) Courtney Baron in NYC got their $18,400 refunded.

Anyone else wonder why Lee Stranahan abandoned the trail?
Was it the call from Fred Baron?
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/lee-stranahan/hunter-young-financial-ba_b_118175.html
Or the realization that it goes all the way to the top?
The top of what?
Maybe Lee Stranahan is in the wrong line of work if he is so snowed by a phone call from a slick lawyer that he portrays him as “another victim” and abandons a case he claimed was so important to him after he was called names and kicked out of the tree fort. I read that piece and could not take him seriously. I do not know any money-grubbing lawyers who contribute anything close to that amount of cash to a non-relative out of the goodness of their hearts. And if Baron was willing to sue his son’s business over money that is some reflection of how generous he is.
Also, I did not think Lee should be banned from anywhere but it did seem a bit unprofessional and juvenile to whine so much about it publically.
Who Da Daddy, I eyeballed your Puerto Rico rendezvous theory over on DBKY.
There was a refunded Edwards donor named Earl Gohl who is the Deputy Director of Government Affairs.
http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/expend_detail.php?cid=N00002283&excode=R90&cycle=2008&page=15
It appears that he was refunded $30 after having exceeded the maximum possible donation by $29, $2329

Lee’s work in regards to every angle of this John Edwards fiasco has been great - except for how he has handled the subject of Fred Baron’s largesse. Compare Lee’s article on Fred Baron in the Huffington Post from August 11th (that Fortunate Son just mentioned and linked to) and Lee’s response to commenters that are questioning his opinion of Fred Baron’s motivations with Lee’s own Tweets prior to his conversation with Fred Baron, such as this one on August 9th:
http://twitter.com/Stranahan/statuses/883081899
“And Fred Baron has admitted he’s paying for Hunter and the Youngs to live in a gated community in Santa Barbara - why? I mean, really - why?”
Well, Baron must have answered the “why” during that phone conversation he had with Lee, because when commenter “Bernovac” asks Lee:
“OUT OF THE GOODNESS OF HIS HEART? Have you ever had money? Do you know people who do? They don’t give $15,000 a month and more to help anyone “out of the goodness of their heart.”
and Lee responds:
“Baron disputes the $15k figure and yes, there are people that do that.”
Yes, I have nothing but respect for Lee Stranahan, but I think he just realized that perhaps Fred Baron is the single largest donor in the Democratic Party.
Fred Baron personally introduced John Edwards to the Kerry Campaign and according to Bob Schrum, and James Boyce (see yesterday posts) sat through the vetting with him.
Kerry’s VP Committee had the same exact chairman that Obama’s did. James A. Johnson.
Ever wonder why you heard about a little known Texas Democrat named Chet Edwards being considered for VP this week?
Wonder no more.

Whatever that PEOPLE magazine was supposed to do, it did just the opposite. And now JE is calling his former staffers and supporters and begging their “forgiveness” and has been soundly rebuffed. Maybe when he stops being a liar and a hypocrite.
Again, no one, not even Lee Stranahan, seems to be focusing on this question: with the affair out in the open and supposedly over, why on Earth is Hunter still being shuttled around on an all paid expenses vacation? Andrew Young, the patsy, has pretty much become the Invisible Man. Why is he still being paid off? But then Stranahan would have us believe that Baron et al are merely doing this out of the “goodness of their hearts”. This, the guy who sued his own son.
The MSM is deathly silent on this issue, no one wants to rain on the Obama Parade with what they might uncover under all those rocks. They didn’t want to touch it when JE was a candiate, and now they make flimsy excuses as to they’re not covering it now. Well, I’m not on the Obama Train, never was and probably never will be, my disgust is so deep.
I don’t care whose paying who as long as it is private money. I do wonder why any of JE’s rich friends would continue to fund this woman. The story is out and no one believes him when he says the baby isn’t his. He does have one chance that the baby isn’t his. She may not be celibate when he isn’t around. If this is his baby, he needs to go to court and prove it through a DNA test(see above) and if she is his he needs to pay an appropirate child support. He doesn’t owe RH a free ride for the rest of her life. She is as guilty as he is. If the baby isn’t his and this woman is blackmailing him with vids or anything else, let it out. It will go away soon and my best guess is that the vids won’t be that exciting. They may only provide a good laugh. People will get tired of his naked self quickly. Think about it, he’s no star. His butt maybe as wrinkled as his neck.
Way to go, bad mouthing a dying woman with a cheating husband. Wake up, spouses who cheat often get their partners in bad places. Places where no matter what they do they can’t win. It would have been eaiser on her to not have it public. People often have different views when bad things happen to them. Elizabeth didn’t want to be the wife of a cheating husband. She still wanted to be the Love of His Life. It’s easy to be selfrightous when your heart isn’t broken and your aren’t afraid for your family. Remember you may have to eat your words someday when it happens to you.

Is Sheriff Al St. Lawrence of the Chatham County Sheriff’s Department still covering for John Edwards?
In a 2007 article, the Enquirer says the Sheriff’s responded when they were at Andrew Young’s Archdale address.
Where’s the full report? Its time to come clean with the public, Sheriff!
http://www.nationalenquirer.com/john_edwards_love_child/celebrity/64426
Fortunate Son:
You are mixing up Chatham County, Georgia, with Chatham County, North Carolina …
“The MSM is deathly silent on this issue…”
Exactly, PJ. But they haven’t contributed anything of significance to this so far. Why should they start now?
We can be sure the National Enquirer still has the ‘goods’, though.
They’re still stringing Edwards along, waiting to spring their evidence for maximum effect. God willing it will happen sometime this week!
Newto this is right!
Apologies to Sheriff Al Lawrence who needs to do nothing more than get all those pictures of teddybears in Trooper uniforms off his homepage and continue being truly “one hundred percent detached” from John Edwards.
Sheriff Richard H. Webster of Chatham Count NC, (not GA) needs to release a full report of the event!
What about it Sheriff Webster?
The truth will always come out.
Someone commenting over at Overlawyered is doing a lot of research on attorney Lee Rohn.
http://overlawyered.com/2008/08/new-figure-in-edwards-scandal-attorney-lee-rohn/
Also, her statement that she did not host Rielle Hunter would add credibility to the theories over on DBKY that Edwards and Hunter met in Puerto Rico or somewhere between Turks and St Croix on or about August 14.
There is a high ranking Puerto Rican government employee in Edwards donor list.
The devastation of infidelity, whether experienced in the privacy of one’s home or the glare of the public spotlight, is a pain which creates confusion, self-doubt and paralysis in even the the most normally high-functioning, confident and rational people. Added to that pain, EE has the responsibility of caring for her body which is also under attack and protecting her children and their legacy, since JE’s allegiance seems limited to (I was going to say himself but that doesn’t even ring true now!) Let’s say his ego.
Narcissists like JE leave scads of victims in their wake and they do not look back, except to spout off a litany of blame directed at anyone and everyone who played a part in revealing their crimes. Notice that even the people he has called up are finding his apologies insincere.
If you watch the webisodes, his pathological self-centeredness is tough to miss. I never saw them during the campaign but if I had they would have done exactly as he professed to want- for me to see him as he truly is.
MSM needs to concetrate on informing the American public as to policy and the wars this administration has started and don’t seem to be able to end. People are actually effected by these issues in ways that this gossip can not even come close to effecting. So JE is a liar and cheater. Other than the announcement on MSM I don’t see the point in MSM wasting their time. If someone proves he committed a crime it needs to be reported but not covered 24-7. What JE has done is a drop in the bucket compared to the lying, cheating, stealing, and murder that has been going on in the last 8 years. We used to seperate Cheating Husband stories from the real news. Now it all seems to run together. It’s a shame, because a lot of people are being hurt.
The big story here isn’t that ^^ “JE is a liar and a cheater” ^^.
The big story is that powerful Trial Lawyer groups obtained seemingly complete control of one of the most important checks and balances of the American Democracy… our two opposing political parties.
Fred Baron personally introduced John Edwards to the Kerry Campaign as VP.
He sat through the vetting process with Edwards with James A. Johnson who was also the head of the VP vetting process for Barack Obama.
Fred Baron is the big story here. JE may eventually be a footnote in history, but Fred Baron will have his own chapter.
We insist on a level playing field for finance, real estate, and sport, why wouldn’t we do the same for politics.
Would I win the Cub Scouts Pinewood Derby if I had a team of Engineers from the Jet Propulsion Lab helping me?
Would the Texas State Football Championship be mine if I could subsitute in the NFL hall of fame?
Maybe giving every presidential candidate $10M and saying.. that’s it.
$10M is is absolutely all you have to spend on getting elected is the way for the American people to win.
Candidates should win or lose on their own merits, not wallets.
I agree with limiting money and not buying power. But until there are facts to report and not more opinion, I feel we need to concentrate on fixing what we can. Allowing one story to control the MSM could do more harm than good. By all means investigate and report facts. If facts lead to indictments so be it and report those. But for now, MSM has a more important job than reporting on a sex scandal. There are a lot of bloggers, that weren’t always around, to do investigation of this story. MSM needs to provide information so people can make informed decisions. (one can wish) Granted it would be nice if some of our so called news men and women actually left their comfortable offices and did investigation, but I think we are going to have to wait on that for awhile. No Walter Cronkites out there for now. What ever those high powered laywers did or didn’t do it does compare with what is being done in Washington now in the name of the American People. With the right elected officials maybe we could have laws to stop some of this powerbroking.
Edith: This is way beyond a sex scandal. What are they hiding? And why?
In only its second article on the Edwards scandal, the New York Times analyzes why both John Edwards and Joe Biden went bad. And I have yet to isolate a single lifted quote from Deceiver.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/27/us/politics/27pariah.html?ref=politics
Edwards hangs tight at the #2 position in the Most Searched terms for the last 30 days.
http://www.nytimes.com/gst/mostsearched.html?period=30
For some reason, that guy in the video looks to me like a cross between Vin Diesel, and that talking baby from those E-Trade commercials. Or maybe I’m just tired.
Newtothis, my question exactly. Follow the money.
“Fred Baron is the big story here.”
FS, nice ‘wake up’. JE is a little more than a fall guy. Fred Baron is increasingly looking like a puppet-master in the DNC. There’s no way he doesen’t have his finger somewhere in the Obama ‘pie’.
How many people would be alive today if this much attention were given to the crimes of a ruthless, murdering administration. You want to hang JE and Asocs. for possible campaign finance problems and let the real criminals go.
Murdering administration? Which one is that? You mean the Taliban? Or Saddam Hussein? He killed A LOT of people. You mean those guys right?
I’m an equal opportunity kind of person. Stop them all. Put these leaders who want to fight in a big field and let them beat up, blow up or otherwise kill each other. I’ll bet that will stop a lot of this mess. In all these administrations the people need to fight for themselves and stop letting a few people run their lives. The constitution says “We the people” not We the government.
Who are these real criminals?
The MSM in this country covers for people who have money, period. Democrats or Repubs. Doesn’t matter. The rich get away with crimes every day only they are not always called crimes since they are the ones making the rules. Just like most things in our country. The wealthy have control and are determined to keep it. The MSM and our culture as a whole supports and worships the rich and consumerism and the poor get suckered into wasting their hard-earned money on things they do not need trying to keep up with the rich on their ridiculously low wages. It makes me sad when I see high school girls who want designer handbags when their parents are barely paying for the gas to get to work. I just turned on the TV and there is Hoda Kotb-who used to do some real news stories- with a bag of overpriced hair products talking about how these are the things you must buy to get “Michelle Obama’s Hair.”
Corruption and hypocrisy amongst the rich and powerful are important to me because the poor are discriminated against in so many institutional ways and they are deliberately distracted from demanding their rights.
“Stop them all.” Stop ‘who’ all? Stop my government from using every tool available to prosecute & kill militant jihadis? No thanks. Those are my tax dollars hard at work!
Are you the same Edith Ann who said this? And this?
Saw the DBKP about Baron with the pic of him and his son. Cute baby. So Baron likes babies- that explains the money after all. (anything for baby) It’s just when they grow up and borrow $800,000 that it becomes a problem.
Yes. Am I in trouble? I go back and forth between being mad at JE and feeling sorry for him. Today I feeling sorry for him. All the people involved in this mess are going to suffer for a long time. Especially the children. I just think there are bigger problems in the world. BTW Snoop-Diggity-Dang-Dowg, the only terriorist who ever came close to me was a conservative, white boy, trainned by the US army, one Timothy McVeigh. God was with us that day, my son was 2 blocks away, my cousin had jsut left the building going back to the Kerr McGee building, and I was 3 miles south. 168 people, including children weren’t so lucky. It’ my tax money too.
Huh? No. Just curious.
And that makes you feel sorry for him?
By that do you mean what? That’s complicated. I’m a clinician and I can make a case that JE has been on this road since 1996 when his son died. Elizabeth sought help through support groups. I don’t recall that he ever did. He burried the pain and went on. I remember when he was selected VP and told John Kerry a story about the nignt his son died and told Kerry he had never told anyone that story. The fact was he had told Kerry the story before. It sounded like a repressed memory and he doesn’t truly know or remember when he told this story, how many times or to whom. In his Sentorial election he didn’t mention his son and told reporters that he didn’t talk about his son. Somewhere along the line someone told him he needed to talk about Wade, maybe to humanize him. Probably a mistake since he hasn’t sought any grief counseling. I remember when I first started to notice John and Elizabeth. I watched them for awhile and watched them interact. They seemed like a loving couple and probably were, but I remember thinking “I wonder what is going to happen when they stop running. Instead of dealing with their grief they ran for the Senate and had two children when Elizabeth was 48 and 50. Then they ran for the Presidency and delt with Elizabeth’s breast CA, that could have been the result of her harmone therapy to have the kids. Then he has an affair, which seems totally out of character for him and ran for the Presidency when he had to know his affair would come out. The baby was an added complication. I have a theroy about that one too. If he begged her not to get an abortion, he may be trying to get his son back and saw this as another opportunity. Of course this didn’t work before and it didn’t work this time either. Unfortunately, his friend told eveyone she knew about him. He appears to be very good at repression. Maybe her new age old soul theory fed into his need to deal with his repressed grief. I remember a line he said to a man in a meetup in response to the man telling him he looked so young, “I’m as old as anyone you ever knew and I have scars. That’s not exact but it would be interesting to figure out if he knew RH at the time. Maybe he fell into this to deal with all his grief re: his son and Elizabeth. Bad way to do it.
Anyway I imagine this is more than you wanted to know. I see him ending up like Edward, Duke of Windsor, who gave up the throne for his Dutchess. He probably has long since wished he could turn back the clock. Now he’s stuck with his choices and their consequences for as long as he lives.
I get mad at him because I wanted to go to the convention and because he suspended his campaign I din’t get a chance. But I’m way better off than he is. So I can afford to be kind. That is until I get mad at him again. Believe it or not that is part of a grief process and there are a lot of us going through it.
I forgot to ask. Why curious? I really don’t care about any more girlfriends anymore.
Could you be more specific?
Previous question you asked about the comments I made about the Duke Graduate and about Warren Buffett and the law suit for fraud. As I mentioned above I don’t really care about the Duke Graduate and I have come to terms with not getting my money back. I’ll just pretend it didn’t go for expensive wine to get lucky.
It’s amazing that I look a pictures and read comments about a man I supported and thought would do some good in the world, and I don’t care. He doesn’t even look like the same person anymore. When Elizabeth talked about him it made him appear special. When you look at him through the eyes of RH he doesn’t look like much. I think the Enquirer is making a mistake to drag out their information. By the time they get around to it no one will care enough to buy their magazine. I don’t buy it any way, haven’t since Diana was run off the road.
If he did something to go to jail or cost him a lot of money so be it. I wouldn’t pay $65,000 to see any of these people. Poor George. Who would pay to listen to him talk. His events will have to be charity donations. $65,000 would go a long way to help educate students. What JE has to teach right now they don’t need to know. CRAZY.
