Kanye West had a twelve month expiration date too, apparently.
Kanye is the most arrogant, annoying, and idiotic performer out there today outside of P. Diddy (or whatever his name is these days). He’s so arrogant, that it comes as no surprise that he would forget/ignore his promise and return. His ego wouldn’t have been able to take it if he hadn’t been there.
If Kanye West really believes that MTv doesn’t respect him, then why does he continue to even acknowledge MTv’s existence? Unless, of course, it’s a puerile publicity ploy.
Ugh! Spoiled rotton celebs, throwing their temper tantrums, not realizing (or caring) that their fits are turning off a LOT of their fans… and, therefore, their $$ supply! That $$ is what makes them think they can get away with acting like such jerks… we need to stand up and say, “hey jerk, you’re not getting my $$ acting like that”!

I’ll admit this: Kanye West is a good rapper, but not the greatest, and I’m expressing my point of view from a mainstream perspective.
What I’ve realized about the mainstream music industry is that the more talented you are, the less likeable you are, because they’re so entitled, arrogant, and self-righteous.
Kanye’s little hissy fit’s the prime example of someone who thinks that since he’s a decent musician that he has the right to attack less musicians he finds less talented than himself. In his head, he’s a victim of society because he thinks he’s worthy of EVERY award for which he’s nominated, and if he doesn’t take home the award, it’s some type of agenda against him.
Any musician who complains about not winning enough awards or gaining enough fame, praise, or recognition isn’t in it for the music. Hello again, Kanye.

I’d hate to sound like a cynic, but especially with most rappers, pop stars, and rock stars today who have made it big are famous now because they associate with all the right people or have the right look. Kanye West should be EXTREMELY grateful because it’s like that there is some poor kid out there who lives in a trailer park in the middle of nowhere who is very talented and will never make it into the industry. So really, Kanye, smile.
And really, the VMAs are really trivial to get that upset over. It’s basically just a popularity contest. The VMAs are MTV choosing who can make the most aesthetically unoriginal and/or slutty music video.
When Kanye quits talking just to revel in the sound of his own voice, he’ll be much better off. Sadly, he’s a total narcisist, so this probably will never happen.

It’s not about Britney. I can’t stand her or most of the crap that passes for music lately. I am not a fan of MTV either. I have not wanted my MTV since the late 80’s because it’s crap.
