All you people who are saying you have no problem with fur and that you like it etc. must be the coldest, sickest people on this planet, to care that little about anything else but yourself, just so that you can try and make yourself look nice, when infact you look like a complete TWAT. I can just imagine what your like, some stuck up person, completely thick, only cares about yourself and constantly trying to get all the attention and make everyone love you.
haha pathetic.
Dont hate PETA just because they're doing good in the world and have a heart when you know you will never have either.
I'm not some crazy activist hippie, im a 19 student from Wales who just loathes people like you.
Go do some research before speaking out of your arses. Watch the videos on youtube and the anti fur sites and if you arn't disgusted or feel guilty or any sadness at all for the animals, especially the ones being skinned ALIVE, because 'its more efficiant', then just help the planet and the human race and go kill yourself. thanks.

I think it is a shame that celebritites who have (depressingly) a lot of power and are able to influence impressionable people, choose to wear fur.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion regarding PETA, and no doubt there are always two sides to every story to an extent.
However, i think that the reality of fur, and in particular, the WAY the fur is taken from the animals is clearly wrong...and you do not need to be some hardcore animal rights activist to see that. I think fur should be a matter that bothers everyone who considers themselves to be a humane, compassionate and decent human being. Fur is completely uneccesary and is worn by people with too much money and not enough anything else. It is a status sign, which is odd because all it means is that you are rich enough to wear something that was once on the back of a living, breathing feeling creature, that probably rather enjoyed having its fur just like we humans like our skin without thinking about the fact that we do 24/7.
I see people like J-Lo and Beyonce, and though perhaps, with the right ammount of make-up, the carefully styled hair and the designer outfits (that steal away any idea of being an individual), they might look 'good'...i actually see ugly people, ugly right down from the core. There is a 'hard' look that these women have, a spoilt, narcissistic coldness...the type of woman who is not actually beautiful at all...a parasite in my opinion.
I saw a video that was not narrated...no american or british voice talking me through what i was witnessing...just a raw, explicit video of innocent racoon dogs and foxes being treated so badly...it was the most disturbing thing i have ever seen. This guy, coughing and spitting phlegm on the ground whilst he skinned a squirming racoon dog (hanging by its legs) ALIVE.
This creature had already been slammed onto the ground a few times to stun it, but not kill it.
Through wretched tears that fell for this wretched voiceless animal, i watched as its very skin was pulled, off its legs, off its back...while it wriggled and tried desperately to escape. Imagine that agony if you can...just for a moment...as its skin was pulled over and off its head, face...while this man spits and coughs and sounds like he has a cancer deep inside, symbolic for the cancer that some people have become. I then watch as a beautiful fox is stamped on, its neck is stood on, i hear the cracking of bones, the death-rattle breath as the skin and fur is pulled off...then the raw, bloody, still blinking animal is thrown onto a cart to die. The camera man films as the fox is breating, the fox swallows, the fox tries to sit up...it sits up..it looks into the camera...eyelashes attatched on one eye but not the other...then it collapses...taking 5-10 minutes to die. IMAGINE THAT FOR A MOMENT.
The fur of these tortured animals will be 'treated', shipped off and will become forever anonymous, forever removed from their rightful owner...creatures forced to lose THEIR looks and lives so AWFUL, VAIN humans can feel 'glamorous'. They will be dyed pink, they wil adorn the stores for the rich and famous. Paris Hilton and the like...who know but do not care are the worst- also Anna Wintour and Julian McDonald...these are people i would never, EVER respect, would never look up to. When i see them dressed in fur, i do not feel envy, i do not see a lifestyle i desire...i do not see beauty, i do NOT see glamour. I see the tragic cosequences of absurd wealth for the few, i see corruption, i see injustice...but most of all, i see the eyes of that fox.

People will NOT stop wearing fur, nor will they stop eating meat.
You can't tell anyone else how to run their lives or what to buy.
Get over yourselves, PETA

People are more violently opposed to fur than leather because it's safer to harass rich women
than motorcycle gangs.

PETA is a corrupt bunch of opportunistic leeches? Nonsense. Paris Hilton is a phony. Your comment about PETA is uninformed. Why don't you do some resarch before making an ignorant, knee-jerk reaction? You obviously have no idea about PETA. Ed's comment is absolutely on target. People who wear fur are the most odious race of pernicious little vermin that nature ever suffered to crawl across the surface of the earth.

Yes, and why are we talking about Paris Hilton when there are only 54 days until the election? Don't we have something better to do? Forget what celebrities do and focus on how you can effect change.
