Time to Dust Off Your ‘Team Aniston’ Shirts

In a story more than three years coming, Angelina Jolie admitted to The New York Times that she and Brad Pitt fell in love during his marriage to Jennifer Aniston.

From an interview to promote her role in The Changeling:

She worries about the day that Maddox, who is now old enough to use the Internet, will “look up my name and see some kind of sexy pictures or read a story about himself that isn’t true. There’s a lot we’re going to have to explain to them about how public their family is.”

Nonetheless, she said, she looks forward to the day when she can put “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” in the DVD player for the children; “not a lot of people get to see a movie where their parents fell in love.”

According to IMDb, principal filming of Mr. and Mrs. Smith took place between January 5 and April 22, 2004, and August 12 and October 31, 2004. Jennifer Aniston filed for divorce on March 25, 2005.

As Simon pointed out a few months ago, this is exactly the kind of behavior that Angelina Jolie disapproves of:

“To be intimate with a married man, when my own father cheated on my mother, is not something I could forgive. I could not look at myself in the morning if I did that. I wouldn’t be attracted to a man who would cheat on his wife.”

And the winners are …

There’s a perfectly logical reason it’s taken me more than two weeks to announce the winners of our September “commenting contest.”

I completely forgot.

(Hey — it’s logical. I didn’t say it was a good reason.)

On September 10, we said we’d award a free item from the “Deceiver.com opportunistic and mercenary swag emporium” to the three readers who left the most (green-lighted) comments through the end of the month.

The hamsters running around in my laptop’s CPU have informed me that the lucky winners are (in no particular order…):

  • Chronic Malanga
  • Fortunate Son
  • Snoop-Diggity-DANG-Dawg

If we owe you a t-shirt, coffe mug, or bumper sticker (or a thong…), drop us a line at tips@deceiver.com with your item choice and a postal mailing address.

Unclaimed prizes will be converted to tote bags and donated to the “Put a Bag Over Amy Winehouse’s Head Foundation.”
