WTF Is Piper Palin Doing With A Fake LV? An Update On The Previous Post

Deceiver.com loyalist Fortunate Son posted a comment in the previous thread with some evidence that Piper Palin’s Louis Vuitton is likely a $10 fake.

We’re willing to admit when we’ve been deceived ourselves. However, assuming now it is indeed fake, that’s a much bigger problem for Sarah Palin.

First of all, the counterfeit luxury goods industry is organized crime. Yes, like the Mafia.

The collateral damage of counterfeits has been well documented over the years, from evidence of child abuse and slavery to funneling money to terrorists, according to Interpol.

Some of you have commented that this is a lose-lose for Sarah Palin. Any way you approach it, she doesn’t come out looking good. But for someone running on a “real America” platform that I’m pretty sure doesn’t involve funding Hezbollah, she should have done her research first before hitting Canal Street.

Or better yet, just get Piper a Dora the Explorer backpack like every other primary schooler has. I’m sure she doesn’t even know or care what the LV logo signifies.

WTF is right! If I have to pay 800 bucks for MY purses, so does she!

  2. 2 vanderleun Oct 22nd, 2008 at 6:29 pm

Oh, puhlease, stop rotating on this pin!

So far we’ve seen this in Piper’s hand not in Palin’s. Maybe somebody, thinking it would thrill a young girl to have a fauxvuitton gave it to her.

You didn’t know what was happening in the first post on this today and you still don’t know.

Please do not make the mistake of so many gossipspaces and become boring. So far, you’re not. But with this miniscule item you are closing in fast.

Actually, holly, Allie was the first to point out it was a fake, then myself (via another person’s observations), THEN Fortunate Son who went into greater detail. But I think Allie deserves some props for being first.

Looks like one of those freebie bags my girlfriend gets with a makeup purchase… but then I’m just a guy.

As for knowingly buying counterfeit designer bags. I thought Palin was supposedly too rural and “hick-ish” to even know what a designer bag was! Y’all make up your minds.

  5. 5 Holly Won't Oct 22nd, 2008 at 6:37 pm

Team effort all around. Official props extended to Allie and Thatgengirl as well. The reason Fortunate Son got the mention was because of the details he provided — up until then, I wasn’t convinced that it was a fake.

  7. 7 kellie Oct 22nd, 2008 at 6:55 pm

FYI, no 7yo girl I know would be caught dead with a Dora *anything*. That’s for preschoolers. Hannah Montana maybe, HSM or Camp Rock probably. Dora? Nope.

  8. 8 kelli Oct 22nd, 2008 at 8:39 pm

my 2yr wouldn’t be caught dead with a Dora

  9. 9 Patrick of Atlantis Oct 22nd, 2008 at 9:48 pm

How do you counterfeit a bag?

  10. 10 D---- Oct 22nd, 2008 at 9:53 pm

I think vanderleun makes a valid point. Do we even know who’s bag that is? Has anyone seen Palin with it? Could it belong to one of her aids?

  11. 11 katie Oct 22nd, 2008 at 11:07 pm

i’m usually pretty good at spotting fake LVs and that appears to be a fake, yes. it’s usually common sense. LV makes their bags really well.. not cheap and flimsy. the bag on the left looks like it came from the dollar store. and why does a little girl need LV anything, anyway?

Wow, this is the best you guys can do to bash Sara Palin?

Dig a little deeper into a certain Democratic candidates back ground and see how many broken laws you can find….oops, forgot, can’t ask any real questions about him, that would be rascism.

Serious, I don’t come here to read about politics, I come here to read about the Hollywood Celebritards who can’t put their shoes on without help, then prance about claiming they are great all day.

I am just going to assume this post is just satire or something. Clearly it is not a real story worth bothering about so there must be a humor angle to it. Let me know when you get there.

Bah! They probably bought it off eBay. It’s eBay’s fault for allowing counterfeit goods to be sold on their website.

  15. 15 Fortunate Son Oct 23rd, 2008 at 11:16 am

    How’s this for Deception?

Guy Ritchie had vowed he wouldn’t date or marry any woman who didn’t appear to be dead or dying, but now he’s caught dating this tasty morsel?

    Hypocrisy at its worst!

    vanderleun, aleric and hurricane-

You guys are all so right- how dare this site not have every single post be EXACTLY what you think is worth reading about at just this moment? Don’t they know this is the only place you can go for political info? That nobody should speak unless they’re digging up the single biggest story of the year? Don’t they know that there is limited space online for entertainment? How dare they not consult you for making sure that every single post meets your standards?

You guys should totally get your money back. You wasted, like, 30 seconds reading a post that didn’t completely blow your minds. What a rip off.

  17. 17 Aleric Oct 23rd, 2008 at 12:57 pm

    @Phoenix

So your opinion is more important than our opinion?? Typical, so are you now issuing out permits for who can and can not comment on the site??

Bite it dude and go back to your Latté.

  18. 18 StrawberryGirl Oct 23rd, 2008 at 1:44 pm

Fortunate Son, that’s known as a British suntan! That chick is a mocha goddess compared to how I look :O. And let’s face it, she’s more attractive than Granny-donna.

  19. 19 Fortunate Son Oct 23rd, 2008 at 9:37 pm

    So true, StrawberryGirl.

I’m sensing a new model in Hollywood hound dogging I’ll call “the Ryan Reynolds”.

If you’re a Hollywood unknown, hook up with a big selling yet heinous musician, take her for all her money and then trade up to a young hottie.

“The Ryan Reynolds”. I think it will catch on.

This so called fake does not have the LV label on it so I would call it something else besides a fake, maybe a knockoff or look alike . I have seen fakes and they have the LV on them and cost from $70 and up .

  21. 21 Jac Oct 28th, 2008 at 12:39 pm

Thanks to John for calling to attention the difference between fakes, knockoffs, and look alikes. Knockoffs and look alikes are sold at your local Target, as well as girl’s stores such as Claire’s Accessories or Icings. So let’s stop talking about mafia activity. These knock offs are all over high schools and colleges, and my friends and I all buy them legally.

  22. 22 knowsherLV Nov 1st, 2008 at 10:49 pm

It’s most definitely a FAKE, aka counterfeit bag. The bag Piper is carrying has the entertwined LVs on it – and that is tradmark violation. A knockoff would not have the LV logo.

  23. 23 peoplemagazine lover Nov 2nd, 2008 at 7:25 am

I thought that they don’t go into trouble of making fake LVs anymore; they just break into a lorry, knick the cargo and go out in the streets selling real LV for $10 a piece…
