Carnie Wilson Flips A Coin, It Comes Up Skinny This Time

Carnie “The Media Is Obsessed With My Weight” Wilson is happy to report that she’s lost 50 pounds. Again.

She did it! After starting a diet and exercise program in the spring, Carnie Wilson has taken off nearly 50 pounds, with OK! documenting every step of the way. When we first visited Carnie in March, she admitted that she had “hit rock bottom” with her weight and ballooned to 208 pounds.

After gastric bypass surgery in 1999, she went from 300 pounds to 146. Sadly, Carnie slipped back into bad habits through the years. But now, after following a sensible regimen, she’s at a healthy 160 and is determined to keep the weight off.

Good for her, although does anyone else find it completely obnoxious that her bread and butter (heh) seems to be seeking out media attention regarding her weight fluctuations?

“It is very hard being in the public eye, being scrutinized for every pound”? Bullcrap. Only when the press is negative.

Otherwise, just like Jennifer Love Hewitt, she’s all too willing to eat it right up.

(Thanks to reader Salmarinello for the tip!)

Her whole career post Wilson Phillips has been about her weight. I guess she’ll have to start gaining again to start the cycle over.

I don’t have any personal stake in whether Carnie Wilson has lost or gained weight, so I don’t care too much, but did you take a look at those photos on the website? They SAY that one image is her at 168 lbs and then the next at 160 lbs — only she’s about 5 sizes smaller. That’s a lot of volume to lose in 8 lbs! And the photoshopping is TERRIBLE. She’s a beautiful lady and doesn’t need that much airbrush work. Her arms are nearly obliterated and look at her waist — seriously awful photoshopping. I think the last one in the set is the worst offender.

Hey that’s cool. Starting the cycle over involves a lot of bacon cheeseburgers. Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaccccoooooooooooon.

If I had a name like Carnie, I’d have issues too.

    “being in the public eye”??!?

No one has given a damn about her since she left Wilson Philips! She’s hardly Angelina Jolie or even camera whore Heidi Montag.

Seriously – isn’t that like Spanish for “Meaty”?

Doesn’t she sing anymore? What else has done to be news worthy? Oh of course, document her weight loss because ‘WE’ really want to know… Just wetting my pants with excitment about it..

This is a heavy story. I can hardly weight for the final chapter. See what I did there? Everybody else is right. I’m a genius.

    Mira8, you made me laugh.

Okay, she’s 160lbs. And everyone is telling her how skinny she is. But yet, the girls on Dancing With The Stars don’t weight no where near 160lbs, and they are called FAT??? 160LBS on a 5 foot tall frame is thin, but 110 on a five foot frame is fat?? And people wonder why women are so mixed up!!
Besides, Carnie is acting like she’s the only one to lose and gain. I went from almost 200lbs (I refused to step on a scale after it said 189) to 130lbs in 6 months. How? Simple. Dr. put me on a pill called Trazadone for my cronic insomnia. Guess what the side effects was? Loss of appitite!!! My son took them, and went from 230lbs to 180lbs. Simple. No starving. No exercise. Nothing but popping a pill before bed. And if my broke self can afford the pills (30 day supply for 12 bucks), how easy would it be for a Celeb? They pop the pills, lose weight, then get paid by mags to tell how all their hard work, starving, and exercise did it!!!
Plus, you know she’s got a “Spanx” on under that dress. And is photo-shopped like crazy.
Sorry to be snarky, but I’m sick of her “being a Celeb” because she was born to rock stars and sang back in the 80’s. Let her shut up about the pounds, and put out an album!!!

oh carnie. Just blame it on your father’s mental health. It’s the reason you ate so much cheesecake and in and out burger.

Nanners, people cared about Wilson Phillips? ;)

She’s desperate for any publicity from the looks.

    Trazadone? Can you snort it?

  14. 14 MC Mom Oct 29th, 2008 at 11:12 am

I usually inject my Trazadone between my toes to avoid visible scarring. Either that, or I eat healthy food and exercise a lot.
