Lindsay Lohan Works ‘Just as Hard’ as Scarlett Johansson

Lindsay Lohan is the subject of a profile written by actress Lauren Hutton in the new issue of Interview. There are a lot of interesting moments between the two with flashes of insight and others with questionable truth — such as when she claims it’s unfair that people see her as a party girl:

“And the worst part is, in terms of what people see of me, I have become this girl who just loves to be photographed, doesn’t know how to focus, doesn’t know how to work on set, just loves the attention, knows how to go out at night, knows how to party. And you know what? I was 20 years old. I never went to college. And I lived maybe six months out of my life like that, doing something wrong, and then I stopped. God forbid I should have ever learned my lesson.”

And then she goes on to blame this fabricated image for the reason she doesn’t get good opportunities anymore:

“I mean, it is what it is. This is what I asked for, and in this day and age that’s what actually goes on. But what hurts me the most is that I work just as hard as any other actress around my age, like Scarlett Johansson, but I just don’t get the opportunities that they get because people are so distracted by the mess that I created in my life. But that doesn’t mean it’s going to last forever.”

Here’s the issue: Even when she’s stable, she isn’t stable. How many stories have you read recently — I mean in the post rehab, pseudo-lesbian era — where she’s acting destructively? Whether it’s drinking champagne straight out of the bottle or breaking girlfriend’s Samantha Ronson’s belongings or trashing a posh London hotel room, she can’t exactly blame directors and producers for being a little wary of working with her.

I wish she had one of those old timey hillbilly guns…

Lauren Hutton now? It seems like HuffPo is the place irrelevant actors, and actresses no one remembers go to die.

She damaged her reputation beyond repair and now she’s whining about it? Oh well, let’s move along…

Maybe when she admits the true to herself people will start believing on her and giving her chances.

What planet is this tramp on? It’s a wonder that she is still even in the tabloids anymore which I suppose says a whole lot for her attention whoring skills, even if she has done nothing but attract all the wrong sorts of attention.

    LOL everyone!

Yes, QB, and then she’s got that freaky family ball and chain dragging behind her too that might scare people off as well, that she also needs to get in order.

Seconded, Pastafarian. I keep trying to avoid Huffington but to no avail. They’re everywhere I like to go. :x

She really does look like she’s ready to keel over and die.

Go ahead, Jrod, but bring the Trojans and Cipro! I’m guessing she wasn’t nicknamed ‘firecrotch’ because the flame of her acting spirit emanates from her first chakra.

Lindsay. LINDSAY, honey. Anyone who’s had more hands up her skirt than Miss Piggy, and STILL can’t get work in Hollywood, isn’t doing something right. I’m ever so glad you’ve “learned [your] lesson”, but maybe it’s time to put away your Hooked on Phonics and take some acting classes. Or learn how to bus tables. I’m just sayin’.
