Panettiere’s Pop Popped for Popping Mom in the Chops

Remember how Hayden Panettiere, when asked about that fun party game where her dad launched his fist into her mom’s face, dismissed it as “absolutely nothing”? Apparently there’s been a change of plan:

Hayden Panettiere’s father pleaded no contest Thursday to misdemeanor battery for allegedly hitting his wife, and was sentenced to two years probation.

Alan Lee Panettiere, 49, also was ordered by the Beverly Hills Superior Court judge to complete 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling and pay $400 in fines.

To give you the benefit of my extensive legal experience (I’ve spent 10 long years watching Law & Order reruns), “nolo contendre” translates as “Okay, they’re not buying my story, but I can’t just admit what I did, so whatever.”

Do you think he can afford the 400 bucks? He might have to skip lunch today.

What would it cost me to punch Hayden square in the face? C’mon I have the money. I’ll just sell off a Lamborghini or two.

I still hold that her comments on the matter were all about not sharing her family business with the world.

But D– you are cracking me up!!

    Massive alliteration ftw?

“I kiss my wife with mah fist.”

52 weeks? 1 year of domestic violence counseling? Goodness, that will lead to anger management counseling sometime in the future.

Is she old enough? If so, I’d hit it.

  9. 9 Habanada Jan 26th, 2009 at 1:31 pm

She’s probably old enough in Canada, jrod.

  10. 10 Jrod Jan 26th, 2009 at 2:26 pm

Well at least Canada is good for something!

She’s old enough, Jrod, if only barely, and dating a 31 year old at the moment who was accused of hitting his last girlfriend. Maybe this abuse thing is something they like to keep in the family.

She wants to marry a chap just like Dear Old dad!

    Save her, Jrod!
