Why shouldn't Poss wear real fur? She wears real python and alligator skin shoes. She wears calfskin, lambskin, kidskin, etc. Is there really that much difference between wearing baby lambskin and wearing some rodent? I don't think so, and neither would any reasonable person that actually thought about the issue instead of reacting emotionally to it. And please don't tell me that we eat animals so it's okay. Few of us eat alligators--those animals are primarily used for their skin. And does it matter to the baby lamb that it's being eaten? No. The difference between leather and fur is so small that it is ridiculous to argue about it.

Well, I think women look great in real fur--it's sexy and kind of primitive. The fake stuff is just not the same. Most animals used for fur are rodents, which multiply exponentially. The anti-fur lobby is a bunch of narrow-minded rubbish. BTW, Posh's fur is definitely real, and I've certainly seen her in real fur on many occasions. Celebs tell the media their fur is fake becsue they are so image conscious. Sometimes it is fake; many times it is real.

Love it! I have a red fox jacket very similar to this and always receive compliments when I wear it. I could'nt care less if the odd anti disapproves of me wearing real fur - it is my decision and nobody has the right to tell me or anyone else what I can or can't wear. Fake fur is no substitute for the real thing and Victoria knows it. She looks amazing as usual.

Not to defend posh spice, because I DOUBT she's innocent, but fur manufacturers are sneaky about mislabeling their products as faux fur, because of the negative stigma real fur has. Although as others pointed out you'd have to be ignorant to make this mistake and this doesn't go for super expensive fur like the one posh is wearing. The manufacturers would lose profit by mislabeling.

I think Posh isn't saying anything b/c if she opens her mouth too wide, the top 65% of her head will crack and fall off. Ain't enough Bondo in the WORLD to fix that.

I just love to see Victoria in fox fur. Even the very best fake fur doesn't look this good.

Here's the latest, folks -- Stella McCartney's company refused to go on the record one way or the other today. I phoned them at <a href="http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=34-36 Perrymount Road, Haywards Heath, West Sussex RH16 3DN, ENGLAND&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=44.204685,69.960938&ie=UTF8&ll=51.250742,0.086517&spn=0.548401,1.09314&t=h&z=10&iwloc=addr" target=_blank rel="nofollow">the company's British headquarters location</a>.

I was told by a lovely woman in the PR department that "Stella McCartney Ltd does not comment on any specialty garments produced for famous persons." Basically, if we want to know whether Stella made a fake fox for Posh Spice, the info has to come from Posh.

Which raises a good question: How come she's not saying anything?

Maybe because she's trying not to upset <a href="http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/latest-entertainment-news/Posh-braves-cold-for-Armani.4991569.jp" target=_blank rel="nofollow">Giorgio Armani</a>, who is being <a href="http://www.stylelist.com/blog/2009/02/06/giorgio-armani-gets-pinocchioed-by-peta-oscar-woes/" target=_blank rel="nofollow">targeted by PETA</a>. Just a thought.
