Next Jeremy Piven Will Say Mercury Is Addictive

piven_douchey-defcon5Jeremy Piven, tool extraordinaire (and top seed in the Douchebags bracket for a reason), must be over his laughable “mercury poisoning” by now because he’s already back to slurping down raw tuna:

A recent trip to Miami could raise more questions about Jeremy Piven’s alleged brush with death last winter.

The Entourage star, who pulled out of the Broadway show Speed-the-Plow in December after his doctor said he was suffering from mercury poisoning due to eating too much sushi, dined on calamari salad and tuna tartare surrounded by a cadre of women at the Mondrian Hotel’s Sunset Lounge on Feb. 28.

“After recovering from mercury poisoning, a patient should be avoiding foods that are known to be contaminated with mercury, such as tuna, for at least three months,” Dr. Grace Keenan tells OK!.

Yet as Jeremy chowed down, play producers considered arbitration after failing to prove their case two days earlier, on Feb. 26, at an Actor’s Equity grievance hearing.

Surprising? Not hardly.

I mean, it’s just more validation for those of us who never bought his act about being treated for actual mercury poisoning. Or having it in the first place.

Could he be any more stupid? Seriously, you would think that if he were going to cling to this little story of his, he would actually make an effort to act as though there was even a grain of truth to it. You know… acting, Jeremy?

I was wrong about Piven’s seeding. He wants this.

  3. 3 Beige Mar 4th, 2009 at 1:17 pm

Dude acts so dumb, I think he might have been born with mercury poisoning. Or just thrown repeatedly on his head.

I’m somewhat colorblind, but is that a black shirt and brown pants? C’mon Jer.

  5. 5 angry army wife Mar 4th, 2009 at 1:58 pm

Okay, he wins hands down. Is there a special winner for the overall idiot?

It’s gonna be Piven vs. PETA in the final round, I can feel it!

  7. 7 angry army wife Mar 4th, 2009 at 2:16 pm

Not sure about that one. Although Piven never ceases to amaze me. I wish that Penn and Peta were not up against each other. Does not seem fair. Kind of like shooting fish in a barrel.

To be fair Pasta, he has a gay brown cowboy stripe on his shirt.

  9. 9 Les Paul Mar 4th, 2009 at 4:20 pm

Maybe he thinks he now has the antibodies for Hg.

“…play producers considered arbitration after failing to prove their case two days earlier, on Feb. 26, at an Actor’s Equity grievance hearing”

Are you saying that the Actor’s Guild bought Piven’s lame story and actually believed the wack job of a doc?

Hey Jrod – would you hit it?

Ah . . . I’m sorry, how is this Deceiver-worthy? Other than being yet another update on a guy most of us said we were tired of hearing about? Am I missing something?

The tuna made me do it.

What an idiotic screw up………you do not EVER “recover” from mercury poisoning. It is a heavy metal that permanently remains in your body’s soft tissues and your organs. Dude needs to educate himself about ailments that he can actually get over before announcing publically he is sick with something that if anyone did enough research on they’d know he can’t be miraculously healed from it.

  16. 16 Habanada Mar 4th, 2009 at 6:40 pm

*sigh* If only I had something, Simon. If only I could get one of those hat-tips. If only, if only . . .

  17. 17 Pastafarian Mar 4th, 2009 at 6:42 pm

    He’s floundering.

    sorry

  18. 18 Minnow Mar 4th, 2009 at 7:22 pm

    “Dude needs to educate himself…”

To be fair Koka, the Pivmeister is an actor. They normally hire writers with research assistants to do that sort of demeaning stuff.

  19. 19 sara Mar 4th, 2009 at 9:28 pm

Perhaps the mercury is rotting his brain? Maybe he was talking to Jessica Simmpson about the difference between chicken and fish? Or maybe he has both an ego problem and is dumber than a box of hair?

  20. 20 koka Mar 4th, 2009 at 10:18 pm

Oh I agree with you, Minnow, he’s had someone tell him it is a believeable excuse to use….it just boggles my mind (such as it is) that famous people manage to get away with stuff like this. Since we are the unwashed masses and because we aren’t famous like they are we’re all stupid and should believe everything they say as gospel truth. If that’s the case, then there’s an awful lot of poisoned folks walking around out there that since they don’t have “people” they don’t know they are “sick”.

    LOL………I love this site!!

  21. 21 angry army wife Mar 5th, 2009 at 8:05 am

Habanada – Are you kidding? He quits a play because he has mercury poisoning from eating too much raw seafood and then he goes out and eats even more of it? This is totally why this website is here. For idiot douchebags like himself who thinks he is above anything and everything. I cannot wait to find out what the court has to say about this one.

  22. 22 Beige Mar 5th, 2009 at 9:16 am

To paraphrase James Lileks, they (celebrities) either don’t know stuff, or they know and think we don’t. Either one is bad.

  23. 23 Julie Mar 5th, 2009 at 4:18 pm

He thinks he is Ari Gold without the wife…
