Most people have probably forgotten the time Ozzy Osbourne tried to kill his wife in a drug-fueled rage, choking her and pinning her down until she managed to hit a panic button to call the cops. Sharon forgave him, of course, to go on to her own career as the host of VH1’s Rock of Love: Charm School, in which she teaches young groupie/skanks some manners.
Except now she’s getting sued for battery by one of the cast members who says Sharon punched her and pulled her hair:
Megan Hauserman claims Sharon went ballistic during a taping, punching and grabbing her by the hair and refusing to let go, and scratching her to boot. Osbourne opened the can of whoop ass after Megan told Sharon she was famous only because she managed a brain dead rock star.
In a lawsuit filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, Hauserman is suing Osbourne for battery, negligence and infliction of emotional distress.
The irony of a knock-down, drag-out fight occurring on the set of a show called Rock of Love: Charm School is not lost on me. But there was some discussion in the comments the other day about whether Rihanna might go on to abuse someone in turn. Sometimes it happens, folks.

That girl, Megan, was beyond bitch, though. She took joy in being nasty to people and I would have pulled her hair and choked her if I could.
I’m not proud to admit it but I watched that show. I would have hit Megan myself.
Saw the vid on youtube, and everybody is correct. Megan brought it on herself with her comments, however true they are about Ozzy. Still doen’t give Sharon the right to bitchslap her though.
BTW, does anybody think that SO looks like Ms. Chokesondick for SouthPark?
The most unsympathetic victim since Robert Blake’s wife.
I don’t blame Sharon for attacking Megan , I would have done more damage.
I watched that episode and I still have a feeling that it was staged. I know the blonde is suing but I still feel someone set something up.
I don’t think Sharon’s attack on Megan was a consequence of her own abuse episode with Ozzy. She might have had the same reaction even if Ozzy never touched her. The probability of a correlation is real but I don’t think that’s the case. Same with Rihanna.
Maybe I just like Ozzy and Sharon too much, despite their shorcomings, but Ozzy’s violence issues were due to drugs, not because he is a generally violent person if I am understanding this correctly. Sharon did leave him at one point due to the drugs and alcohol, and in the end, helped him get cleaned up. They have a very strong relationship, and she definitely wears the pants in that family. I’m not saying that drugs are an excuse to beat the crap out of someone, but from all accounts, Ozzy is not a Chris Brown or Ike Turner, who is inherently violent towards women. He just needed to get off the drugs and grow up.
I think that Sharon is a force of nature of her own, with or without Ozzy. I wouldn’t be so quick to build a correlation here. I probably would have attacked Megan, and I am not a violent person.
Most people become abusers if they were abused as children. This isn’t really true of domestic violence victims as adults. Most of the time the victims are terrified & have low self-esteem and wouldn’t hurt a fly. Generally, they turn the abuse inward, not outward and have a difficult time overcoming the violence without causing more themselves.
Anyone seeking etiquette advice from the Osbourne Clan Matron deserves a good kick in the head.
Maybe Sharon’s just a jerk. Her father sure was. At least if you ask Ozzy.
Dang. For the second time today on Deceiver, I’m seeing a situation in which I utterly do not care who wins; the fight alone is entertaining. That’s low, and I am ashamed.
It’s still entertaining, though.
Well, I thought her claim was pretty bogus until I read she got scratched. You just don’t go there, bitch, I don’t care if you’re the wife of a man who bites bats in half.
its kinda odd because yeah, sharon should be teaching the girls manners and such. i didn’t watch this show (nor did i ever wash the piece of trash known as rock of love) but my sister watches it and she showed me the part where sharon poured something on that megan skank and pulled her hair. megan seemed like such an annoying little twat, so i don’t know if i can blame sharon or not haha now apparently megan is getting her own show? good god.
This too could have been filed under “When Douchebags Collide”…could be two douchebag articles in one. Sort of a douchebag double-feature. Or is “When douchebags attack” a better title? When douchebags attack. Other douchebags.
I meant, douchebag-dedicated articles…
yep…inadvertently insulted the article. I’m sorry, Holly. The article was awesome.
Some people just float through life asking for it, Megan seems to be one of those people. I wish there were more people like Sharon Osborne to take them down a few notches. Instead we have television executives like the fine people at MTV who give her a reality show of her own.
Whoa! What happened to “NOBODY deserves that kind of treatment!” and all the fiesty sass from the Rihanna board? What about criticizing the commenters who declared that Rihanna now “deserves” what she gets because she’s going back to her abuser? Now suddenly this Megan chick “deserves what she gets” and was “asking for it”? What if Rihanna had been, theoretically, behaving that way toward Chris? What would the responses be then? I don’t like the Osbournes, I’ve never heard of this show, I don’t know what happened, but I kind of thought that “nobody” meant, well, “nobody.”
And don’t pull out the male-female abuse vs. female-female abuse. For some reason, all violence is okay unless it’s a man against a woman, and it’s ridiculous and an instance of societal hypocrisy that is unforgivable. Cf. my comments in the *first* Rihanna post.
Don’t even ask…
Habanada~
Maybe Chris Brown should adopt a nasal London-slum accent?
Habanada, I do see your point. I just see a difference between something staged and something that happens in the back of a car.
Maybe that last sentence fits in one of the Kardashian threads. Ick.
Dude, I don’t even want to hear “back of a car” and “Kardashian” in the same comment ever again! Shame on you!
Uh yeah, Beige. You’re the one always getting on me for disturbing mental images…
Can you call a girl a douchebag? Just curious (re: Nadi’s post)
Well, douchebag is much simpler than “sac de la femme toilette hygenic”.
Well yeah but I’ve never heard a girl called that before. Kind of like calling a girl a prick, or a guy a b*tch isn’t it?
Catharine asks: “Can you call a girl a douchebag?”
Sure, why not? “Douchebag” is such a wonderful noun, it doesn’t discriminate based on gender – it can be both masculine and feminine. Plus, I already used “douchebaguette” on Gwyneth Platrow.
I’m still not convinced it wasn’t staged. All reality shows are staged, especially on VH1. *sigh* VH1 used to be all about music, they used to show all the new music videos first. They also used to show all the indie vids, the ones you couldn’t see anywhere else. Now it’s a non-stop jerry-springer-y scream/fight fest.
It would be funny if it had been staged and she then still sued them. I mean, what are they gonna do? It’s all on camera. They gonna have to either admit it was staged or pay up.
Sorry, y’all. I shan’t go there again. Heh.
If men can’t douche, then isn’t it stranger to call them douchebags–i.e., in that women can’t be called pricks because they haven’t got any? I’ve called women pricks before. Maybe it’s time for our insults to be gender-equal! It IS the 21st century after all!
I’ve heard Madonna called a dick before. It fits, when you think about it. I think there are aspects of behavior that merit certain descriptions, regardless of the gender associations. For example: K-Fed? Is a douchebag, because he really just isn’t man enough to be associated with prickishness. Martha Stewart, OTOH, IS man enough.
