When Douchebags Collide: Lily Allen and Michael Lohan in Twitter War

lily_allen_lindsay_lohanDid you really believe Michael Lohan had given up sharing his innermost thoughts on the internet? Sucker.

Lindsay’s dad has gotten into a Twitter war with pop scum Lily Allen, who’s lately been spreading her bad influence in Lindsay’s circle (including ill-advised matching tattoos on their index fingers).

I bet you want to know how it started:

Lily told The Sun: “I got a Twitter from her dad saying ‘Dear Lily, I think you have an alcohol problem that needs addressing. From Michael Lohan.’ I was like, leave me alone.”

For the first time ever I agree with Michael Lohan. But still. The man does not know how to appropriately interact with his daughter’s friends. Perhaps he should stop trying so very, very hard.

No sh*t, Mr. Lohan. Nobody would believe for a second that Lily Allen had an alcohol problem, no sir, no one. And what’s with this Twitter garbage. Nobody is that important that they have to constantly update people on their lives. Except Pasta, maybe.

  2. 2 Chronic Malanga Mar 5th, 2009 at 3:28 pm

He acts more like a stalker than he does a father. Of course, he never actually acted like a father in the first place.

And here he said he was no longer going to blog. Isn’t Twitter just blog-lite?

  3. 3 Julie Mar 5th, 2009 at 3:53 pm

Who the h*ll does he think he is? Maybe he should twitter my uncle & all of my friends who may have alcohol problems. I am sure that is all they are waiting for to confront the issue — a judgment from the biggest douchebag on the planet. Maybe he should take this advice: Get professional help for your delusions of superiority Mr. Lohan. You are lower than any of the people you are contacting because you think you are a celebrity when all you are is a “recovering” addict who thinks he knows it all. I think he needs “recovery” from his ego.

At the risk of sounding really stupid …. what is twitter?

  5. 5 Pastafarian Mar 5th, 2009 at 4:31 pm

    Damn straight.

  6. 6 Beige Mar 5th, 2009 at 4:47 pm

This is definitely one of those stay-out-of-it-and-let-them-destroy-each-other fights. I’m just rooting for SOMEONE to get gutpunched, I don’t care who it is.

  7. 7 WUD Mar 5th, 2009 at 5:08 pm

I just don’t get the Lily hate. Yeah, she’s mouthy but her songs are too and they happen to be really funny. Its sad that everyone gets barked down into being please-everyone cookie cutter types. She makes stupid decisions, and sure, its hard to respect that, but damn I like a girl with personality, especially one that can write a great song. Michael Lohan on the other hand is a parasite who doesn’t do a damn thing except judge people via Twitter, apparently.

Just my opinion, and an unpopular one, I know.

  8. 8 Kristine Mar 5th, 2009 at 5:24 pm

*scratches head* Maybe he’s trying to get to his own daughter by making comments about other people that Lindsay needs to hear? Riiiiiiiiiight.

  9. 9 Chronic Malanga Mar 5th, 2009 at 6:39 pm

WUD, I actually feel much the same about Lily Allen. I don’t care for a lot of her stupid actions, but when you put it all in perspective, she’s certainly acting more mature and more controlled than a lot of the rock stars that have come and gone, including, but not limited to Aerosmith in the 70’s, Led Zeppelin (a personal favorite band of mine), Amy Winehouse, or the ones that actually didn’t live to make it to rehab. I like her music because it’s different, funny as hell, and refreshing, even though I wouldn’t go as far as to say that there is anything groundbreaking about it. At least she’s putting it out there, which is more than I can claim for her new pal, Lindsay, who made crap music when she was bothering.

Michael Lohan is unbelievable. I think Julie summed him up best.

Lindsey herself is a bad influence, for god’s sake. What ever happened to personal accountability?

And it’s on their index fingers, not middle.

  11. 11 Rocko Mar 5th, 2009 at 7:55 pm

    Twitter war?

I didn’t even bother reading the post (no offense Holly) but Twitter war? This is more childlike than running around at recess poking girls you like in the arm.

  12. 12 Holly Won't Mar 5th, 2009 at 8:44 pm

You’re so right, snapnhiss. Though it would at least be original had it been on their bird-flipping fingers. I corrected the post.

    Jenn -

Twitter is a blog service where folks post mini-entries about what they’re doing or what’s on their minds. The catch is, the entry is supposed to be no more than 160 words 140 characters.[-ed]

  15. 15 jenn Mar 6th, 2009 at 7:18 am

Thanks CA Dave. Kind of like IMing then? I can barely manage facebook. Seems to change every time I log in. And only 140 characters? Twitter seems it would be the perfect venue then for vapid celebutards and douchebags.

Now I notice Twitter everywhere and apparently so has the Whitehouse – great

“Lindsey herself is a bad influence, for god’s sake. What ever happened to personal accountability?”

That’s what I was thinking. Reminds me of little johnny who always gets in trouble but his parents always blames the other kids. It’s never little johnny he was just influenced by those other bad kids.

So is Micheal Lohan saying that poor little innocent Lindsay drinks because of these bad bad people, it’s not her fault because she is to stupid and weak to make her own decisions?

  18. 18 Habanada Mar 6th, 2009 at 10:10 am

I don’t care who you are, who you’re telling, or what you’re attempting to tell them–that is one of the most condescending ways of going about it possible . . . and the thing about things like Twitter is that it’s open-and-shut. Not, “Hi, how are you?” But, “You’ve got problems! Fix ‘em!” And that’s the end of it. No one is going to respond to it–and he’s got to know that she’d never do it, so clearly he did it for another reason. To get people to talk about him? I don’t know.

  19. 19 anonymous Mar 6th, 2009 at 10:13 am

Lily Allen, is having the tat, removed after she found out it was Rhianna’s idea, ; she’s cool but I thought I was being original. And Lily Allen did not tell the Sun U.K. anything, the quote is from Australian television. And pop scum? that doesn’t come from anybody unless people call her that in print. Shout out to Big Mama if you really believe, that Lily Allen doesn’t have a drink problem. I’m more inclined to believe her than anyone else (the press are bullies blog) P.S. if you find a printed interview on Lily Allen, they are false quotes & false information She does ”not’ conduct written interviews (video taped only) She’s too preoccupied with suing News of the World for Misquotes. (Encourages kids to do drugs?) It’s about time.

Lindsey Lohan – I would hit it!

    Lily…eh, only if I was a drunk as her…

  21. 21 Rocko Mar 6th, 2009 at 5:19 pm

Jrod would hit it? Why not? Everyone else has.

  22. 22 Beige Mar 6th, 2009 at 5:24 pm

THANK YOU, Rocko. I was just about to post that for all the hitting that’s been done, Lilo is pretty much the biggest pinata out there.

  23. 23 Catharine Mar 6th, 2009 at 7:28 pm

    Michael Lohan? AUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
    Sorry automatic reaction.

  24. 24 trent bowie Mar 7th, 2009 at 3:53 am

Ya know, it’s really quite pitiful to watch a grown man go to such desparate lengths to get attention.

He could at least be entertaining, is that too much to ask?

  25. 25 Beige Mar 7th, 2009 at 8:08 am

Trent, for Michael Lohan, it apparently IS too much to ask.

  26. 26 Chronic Malanga Mar 7th, 2009 at 8:47 am

The lack of ability to entertain obviously runs in the Lohan family.

  27. 27 Beige Mar 7th, 2009 at 6:36 pm

Don’t nothin’ run in the Lohan family. They all stagger.

  28. 28 Nati Mar 7th, 2009 at 8:17 pm

I don’t like Lily. But I like her hair. Pink. The color of Foofa!

(Kids, their parents and very immature (young) adults such as myself will probably understand what I mean)
