Rihanna Looks to Chris Brown for Another Hit

According to E!, the pugilistic crooner and his codependent cutie may be putting aside their differences — he likes slugging her in the face, she’s just not that into it — to make sweet music together:

The seemingly reconciled duo have been working on a duet that Brown is hoping to include on his new album, due out later this year, a studio source tells E! News. “They’ve been working on it together,” the insider says.

In the meantime, while E! had learned that Brown’s brief hiatus from music making ended more than a week ago and that he is currently working in Los Angeles on this upcoming album, Rihanna’s readiness to record again had remained up in the air until this weekend.

Producer Adonis Shropshire said that the 21-year-old Grammy winner was also back in the studio.

“You have to remember, she’s a kid still,” he said. “So with anybody who goes through something in the world, you have to bring yourself out of it…I guess her refuge is her music.”

Whereas many women in similar circumstances might take refuge in, say, another state.

If the two loveboids have trouble coming up with an original tune, they could always record a cover. Perhaps “Beat It” or “Hit Me, Baby, One More Time.”

Fighting out of the abuse me corner, weighing in at 115 lbs, Rihanna. Fighting out of the dicksmack corner, weighing in at 175 lbs, reigning douchebage Chris “I smacked her down” Brown.
    Lets get ready to RUUUMMMBBBLLE.

  3. 3 Nati Mar 10th, 2009 at 5:17 pm

    @ Swede

he’s 195 lbs. at least, that’s what the protective order says. hey, it’s even better, no?

“Sources say Rihanna was the first one to strike — slapping and striking Brown “numerous times” while he was driving, after seeing the text message from another woman. And Rihanna was fighting Brown as he punched and hurt her. We’re told much of this is reflected in the official police report based on what Rihanna told cops.”

If the above is true … does that excuse Brown? Nope. But women who hit men first, should be charged. But most men would never call the cops on the ladies.

    Boo! for the post title.

Bruce, you are so right on this one. The Pot can’t call the kettle black.

    These two deserve each other.

Never understood why otherwise capable women sign up to be punching bags for a second time.

As to the steroid defense? Chris Brown’s body doe not show typical signs of steroid abuse, but his face does, in particular the part between his left eye and left ear in the photo above.

This makes me sad. Domestic violence always escalates and I really don’t want her (or anyone) to die. Obviously she can’t be surprised when (not if) violence breaks out again but I can’t help but want her to just get out of there.

And Simon, honey I just don’t see the hypocrisy here. Horrible choices yes hypocrisy no.

My daughter takes a steriod for her asthma, should I be worried?

  13. 13 Toubrouk Mar 10th, 2009 at 11:28 pm

Pathetic. Just Plain Pathetic. Now it’s the fault of drugs….

  14. 14 Fortunate Son Mar 10th, 2009 at 11:36 pm

    Hey D–

    Corticosteroids (asthma) = good
Anabolic steroids for muscle gain in healthy adult users = bad

  15. 15 katie Mar 11th, 2009 at 12:55 am

chronic, you’re right. its really sad she even wants ANYTHING to do with him. but if she went back to him (which she did) she has just as many problems as he does i guess!

  16. 16 Nati Mar 11th, 2009 at 12:56 am

    Pasta, it says right here:

    http://www.etonline.com/documents/et_cbrown_minuteandprotectiveorder_090306.pdf

That’s the protective order the judge has issued to Rihanna. But it doesn’t look like he’s 195 lbs to me either. Actually, 170-175 lbs sounds about right. I wonder where they came up with that number (195, that is). I doubt they made him step on the scale when he was arrested…most ID’s don’t have your weight on them…so it must be whatever information CB gave to the police when he was arrested. He probably lied about his weight to make himself look bigger. And heavier. And “manlier”.

  17. 17 Nati Mar 11th, 2009 at 1:02 am

And smh@roid defense. How pathetic. If he were on steroids, this whole thing would have ended a bit differently. The way it did with another Chris – Benoit.

I have also read where they may have secretly married. This is the typical pattern of those who have been abused. And yes, she struck first, but if you notice, she is also the one who walked away with massive bruising and bite marks, not him. Hitting of any kind is not tolerated, but it looks as though she was fighting him off of her after it escalated.

  19. 19 Pastafarian Mar 11th, 2009 at 8:29 am

I don’t doubt that’s what it says, but I’m 202 and he isn’t just 7 pounds lighter than me. No way.

I hate guys that beat women and he’s a punk woman beater. That’s all I’m saying.

  20. 20 StrawberryGirl Mar 11th, 2009 at 1:55 pm

Let’s just hope they don’t decide to cover “Hit Me With Your Best Shot.”

This is a mutual combat situation and I guarantee it will blow up again. I don’t know what Rhianna is capable of delivering beyond a few girly smacks that don’t hurt anyone, but Chris Brown clearly outmatched her and had no right to beat her like a thug. All he had to do was pull over and get out of the car or have her get out of the car. For the first time in a long time, I actually agree with Oprah: if a guy is capable of hitting you once, he will do it again.

Ahhhhh! Can’t believe I missed that one.

  22. 22 Nati Mar 12th, 2009 at 1:11 am

meh, I could care less about his weight, height or anything else that has to do with him. I can’t stand the sight of him. He looks like some kind of an animal with those bucked teeth of his. Now that his “Chris Beater” nickname is played out, let’s call him Chris Beaver (and not just because of his teeth).

  23. 23 Nati Mar 12th, 2009 at 1:15 am

I tried to type in “I couldn’t care less” and “I could give a f***” at the same time and it resulted in “I could care less”…and I hate it when someone says “I could care less”…because it doesn’t make sense

i wish you good luck chris brown
