Chris Brown Is So The Right Guy For This Job

chrisbrown_basketball

Chris Brown participated in a celebrity basketball game at the University of Mary Washington this week — wait for it — during the campus’s White Ribbon Campaign to raise awareness about violence against women.

TMZ has student video footage of Chris shooting hoops in a white wife beater (oops!) and blue shorts. The University of Mary Washington used to be a women’s college, by the way, and many campus buildings are named after important women from history. Its Women’s Studies program has a solid reputation. The girls filming him are totally aware of the irony.

Seem like a bad call by the organizers of the White Ribbon Campaign to anyone else?

What’s funny is his knock down-drag out with Rihanna did more to raise awareness than any game would.

The perfect clown outfit for a perfect clown. Nice chicken legs, and arms. It’s no wonder he beats women because they’re the only ones he can beat. Anywhere you want to meet. Punk.

  3. 3 Nati Apr 3rd, 2009 at 4:52 pm

Look at that asshole. Just look at him. I hope next time he decides to shoot some hoops he trips and falls and breaks his stick legs and knocks his bucked teeth out. He looks like a donkey on crack in this pic.

  4. 4 Beige Apr 3rd, 2009 at 4:59 pm

Gee. I wasted that “dickwhistle” thing in another thread, and it was so perfect for this one.

  5. 5 Kristine Apr 3rd, 2009 at 5:31 pm

Don’t insult the donkeys on crack, Nati!

Isn’t it a little soon for him to be trying to save his image this way? He hasn’t had adequate time to show some remorse and declare himself a changed man.

  6. 6 Chronic Malanga Apr 3rd, 2009 at 5:37 pm

It’s all about cleaning up his image. He doesn’t feel remorse because he’s like the thief that isn’t sorry he stole, he’s just sorry he got caught. His own spokesperson, and he, have said as much. Rather than saying, “I am sorry and did a bad thing,” they basically announced that he was going to work on his image. I don’t know what’s worse, an insincere public apology or a sincere show of doucheism.

I really would like him to disappear, only to re-emerge when he makes the news for getting his ass kicked by Jay-Z or hell, anyone else.

  7. 7 Nati Apr 3rd, 2009 at 5:43 pm

You are right, Kristine, that wasn’t very thoughtful of me. I’d better apologize to the donkeys on crack. Donkeys on crack, I’m sorry and saddened over what transpired. There. That should do it, after all, I learned from the best.

Actually, let me rephrase my previous statement. He looks like a donkey-punched crackhead in this pic.

  8. 8 katie Apr 3rd, 2009 at 7:09 pm

oh you have got to be kidding me, what a joke!

  9. 9 Kristine Apr 3rd, 2009 at 7:31 pm

    LOL!! That’s better, Nati…

  10. 10 AllyKat Apr 3rd, 2009 at 8:21 pm

Well, one of the old presidents (and others in the administration) wanted to change the name to honor James Madison or Monroe because a college named for a women wouldn’t be attractive enough to potential male applicants. When they couldn’t shove that through, they changed the name to University of Mary Washington (it WAS Mary Washington College) because it is so much more prestigious. Because you know no one respects the College of William and Mary, since it is just a college. This, despite promising students and alumni that the undergraduate programs would be known as “Mary Washington College at the University of Mary Washington”. I know this because my sister was in the student government when it all went down.

My point: the powers that be at the school aren’t particularly concerned about the women who go there now or the women alumni. Or anyone, really, if you consider that the former president from a couple years ago got arrested for 2 DWIs within weeks of each other. The vetting committee for their administration must be the same one doing the Obama cabinet.

Beige – if dickwhistle is appropriate, use it. I believe you can go to the John Edward’s posting and use it as well. If it is a Gwyneth post, perhaps you can use poonwhistle?

  12. 12 Patrick of Atlantis Apr 3rd, 2009 at 10:45 pm

So the college became a university when it began offering classes in women’s stuies and theory of basketball?

  13. 13 Catharine Apr 4th, 2009 at 12:01 am

Good lord. Is this someone’s idea of a sick joke?

  14. 14 Les Paul Apr 4th, 2009 at 12:46 am

@Kristine: “He hasn’t had adequate time to show some remorse and declare himself a changed man.” I was thinking likewise, but ya know, kids learn so quickly nowadays. Another stellar example of someone who’s been there to say “don’t make the same mistake I did.” That would indeed really work if he were truly repentant.

  15. 15 trent bowie Apr 4th, 2009 at 1:00 am

At least the irony is not lost on the students. I can only imagine the indignant editorial in the next issue of the campus paper. But wait, but it gets even better. Guess who finally decided to enter a plea?

    http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2009/04/only-radaronlinecom-chris-brown-plead-not-guilty

    And let the discussion begin…

    *checks watch*

    Now.

  16. 16 Nati Apr 4th, 2009 at 1:47 am

Chronic, Jay-Z is not gonna do s**t. He’s a bigger bitch than even Chris Brown…actually, I don’t think it’s possible to be a bigger bitch ass punk than Chris Brown, so I guess they are on the same level. Ugh, I just HATE Jay-Z. Especially after he took pac’s song and desacrated it with that thick ass ho of his whom you might know as Beyonce. It was disgusting what those two talentless twats did to that song. When it comes to Jay-Z, NaS says it best in “Ether”. Jay-Z got owned in that song.

  17. 17 Chronic Malanga Apr 4th, 2009 at 6:35 am

Good point, Nati. You have to figure that anyone who is with Beyonce has to be a bitch anyway. Her bitch.

Which song is that? I have to admit that I love Snoop Dog, but beyond him, I don’t really listen to hip hop, rap, or whatever the kids are calling it these days.

  18. 18 Beige Apr 4th, 2009 at 10:24 am

“Boy hits girl/Boy should be taken down/No matter who’s around…All the money in the world but that’s no excuse/Career suicide, yo, here’s the noose.”

–Smoke Jumpers, “My Flow So Tight”, a song specifically targeted at Chris Brown

  19. 19 trent bowie Apr 4th, 2009 at 8:47 pm

I just listened to that song, and it’s sounds good. Anybody up for a remix?

  20. 20 Beige Apr 4th, 2009 at 10:15 pm

As a severely white-bread suburban mom of two, let me just gird my gangsta and say “AWWWW, YEAH” in a rolling basso profundo. Heh.

  21. 21 Nati Apr 4th, 2009 at 10:41 pm

Chronic, that Nas’ song wasn’t released as a single, so there was never an actual video, but someone made a video (a compilation made of extracts from Nas’ other videos) and uploaded it on youtube. Here:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiOv37e1a7Q

And I don’t listen to a lot of hip hop either, I hate mainstream hip hop, but I like Nas, Mos Def, the Roots, the Fugees and Immortal Technique. That’s pretty much it.

  22. 22 Nati Apr 5th, 2009 at 12:32 am

“As a severely white-bread suburban mom of two”

lol Beige, then you definitely know who the Roots are – they appeared in one of the episodes of Yo Gabba Gabba as a music guest, they sang “I love my family” song. Kids love that show, my daughter is crazy about it, your kids probably watch it too. I recorded all the episodes and watch it myself…sometimes :( I was at first surprised to see the Roots on Yo Gabba Gabba, but it was much better than when Jack Black made a guest appearance – he wore the tight orange polyester jumpsuit (that showcased his beergut and his moobs) and looked like a registered sex offender.

  23. 23 Chronic Malanga Apr 5th, 2009 at 11:37 am

    Thanks, Nati!

I listen to a lot of stuff, but it always goes back to hard rock for me.

  24. 24 elcapt Apr 5th, 2009 at 5:13 pm

“Its Women’s Studies program has a solid reputation. ”

Interesting – I wasn’t aware there was a Women’s Studies program that has a solid reputation anywhere outside other Women’s Studies programs. As for the coll- er, university’s decision, what, was OJ busy?

  25. 25 Nati Apr 5th, 2009 at 5:33 pm

Chronic, you’re welcome. The song gets sweeter in the middle and especially towards the end. “Day-Z and Cockafella Records”. awwww I<3 NaS. Stillmatic is one of his best albums ever, if not the best.

  26. 26 Beige Apr 5th, 2009 at 5:36 pm

Hmm…I posted earlier today that I curse the very BONES of Yo Gabba Gabba (because my kids did/do like it, to a disturbing degree). Elijah Wood’s ubergoofy appearance was, for me, nightmare fuel.

  27. 27 Nati Apr 6th, 2009 at 1:43 am

What, Beige, you didn’t like Elijah’s “puppet master”? lol It was still much better than Jack Black’s perfomance.

My daughter is obsessed with that show. I bought her all of the Yo Gabba Gabba talking plush toys except Foofa. I couldn’t find Foofa anywhere :( Those toys sold out like crazy. I was pissed. There are some crazy parents out there. It would seem they just ran off and bought the entire stock. Assholes.

  28. 28 Beige Apr 6th, 2009 at 11:53 am

Elcapt, last I heard, OJ was busy getting a very personal perspective on what it’s like to be a[n abused] woman. At least, that’s what I wish for, every time I bust out my Magic 8-Ball.

  29. 29 angry army wife Apr 6th, 2009 at 1:48 pm

Wait, didn’t he Twitter that he was sorry? I mean, isn’t that what kids do these days? What? you mean you want more? Geesh :)

I agree, he needs to be taught a lesson. All he came up with was that his image was ruined? Man, does he have a lot to learn.

And when I was in college, girls majoring in women studies usually meant those who did not shower, shave or communicate with anything that had a pee pee

  30. 30 Beige Apr 6th, 2009 at 3:59 pm

M’kay, AAW–last thread, you said “potty”, now it’s “pee pee”. Methinks you has a children, or work with a herd of noseminers. Or something like that.
