I don’t know why everyone is so defensive of our USA cause Ms. Gwyneth Full-of-Herself says she likes Spain better because the people are more relaxed and the building are older. No problem. She can have those old buildings and the siesta. Most of those old buildings were built by men in homage to their egos. I’ll stay here, proud of Thomas Jefferson, who said all men are created equal. (By the way, have you seen his home, Monticello, and all his innovations and ideas? Do you know thomas Jefferson? As if that wasn’t enough those little kings tried to grab more. I’ll stay here in the land of George Washington who defeated the mighty British (who defeated the Spanish). He reluctantly agreed to be president of a new nation after which, rather than trying to hang on to power, he went home to farm. I’ll stay here in the land of Madison, Monroe, Lincoln, Roosevelt. . .need I say more? Stay there with your old buildings, Gwyneth — I’ll stay here proud to be in the land of men who didn’t need to build buildings to themselves. Their legacy isn’t some grand old building but freedom for all.

I liked Macfadyen in the most recent ‘P and P’.

Ugh. He drained every speck of humor from the role.

Gotta hand it to him though, that kid can sure act. I totally believed he was in love with the broomstick.

Too much brooding though. I kept waiting for Darcy to wander aimlessly the moors and dig up Elizabeth’s corpse to whisper sweet nothings in her long dead ear.
