These are the books that just about every greentard worth his hemp undershorts has on his bookshelf and quotes at every opportunity. Yet even the goofiest granola-munchers at my very liberal college had fun mocking Edward Abbey. Also, pick up a copy of Paul Ehrlich's "The Population Bomb" and laugh some more (note that he is an entomologist, yet that makes him a fine "scientist" of population growth trends-- Al Gore quotes him all the time). But if you want any reasonable honesty about "climate change," go get Bjorn Lomborg's book "Be Cool," where he explains that we should probably be careful about polluting but not kid ourselves about "green" celebrities and their dire warnings. Obama appointed Lomborg to advise the administration on environmental policy, but so far he has dutifully ignored him.
