In case you hadn’t heard, this image has been popping up here and there, and it’s really a big problem. Why in the world would somebody depict the President of the United States as a Batman villain? It just goes to show how desperate these right-wingers are getting, when–
Right, but see, you really shouldn’t–
Okay, ha ha, very funny. The point is, it’s one thing to–
Okay, okay, I get it. They did it to Bush too. The point is–
I get what you’re trying to pull here, but–
Just a–
Would you–
Hold it–
Okay! We get the point you’re trying to make. “Ooohh, lah dee dah, politicians are public figures and they should expect unflattering portrayals as comic-book villains by their detractors! I’m soooo smart!”
Well, there’s one tiny little detail you’re leaving out, my wingnut friend. Do I need to spell it out for you?
Guess so. I’ll just let Steven Mikulan at LA Weekly school you. Here’s why Obama-as-Joker is different than all your other little examples:
The poster, which bears a very superficial resemblance to Shepard Fairey’s famous Obama Hope illustration, has been pasted on freeway supports and other public surfaces. It has a bit of everything to appeal to the drunk tank of California conservatism: Obama is in white face, his mouth (like Ledger’s Joker’s) has been grotesquely slit wide open and the word “Socialism” appears below his face. The only thing missing is a noose.
Daaaaaamn! Did you hear that? It was a giant gavel slamming down on your argument. Case closed. Now run along back to your Klan meeting, redneck.
Update: The Washington Post says, “Obama as The Joker: Racial Fear’s Ugly Face.”

Joker Palin’s teeth look so yellow….
That “noose” crap is a stretch you can’t get from yoga. Pathetic reaching on the part of Obama’s fluffers.
Awww, did their messiah just got insulted? I am so pained by this. After all, those enlightened scholars wouldn’t dare to do the same thing to the Presidents Bush, Reagan and Nixon, right?
But it was okay for Democrats to morph Bush into Hitler, right?
Because, you know, calling Californian conservatives “drunk[s]” isn’t at ALL insulting or inflammatory. Neither is insinuating that they are racist and want to lynch everyone. Also, the Obama picture looks more like a mug shot than that stupid Hope poster.
I don’t get the “slit wide open” mouth reference. Can someone enlighten me?
Hypothetical conversation with liberal Obama supporter (if stupid hurts you, you might want to look away).
“Depicting Obama as the Joker is racist!”
- “But when I was a kid, Reagan was regularly depicted as the literal anti-Christ… and that was the NICE insult.”
“Yeah, but here they have Obama painted with WHITE makeup!”
- “Dude, are you claiming that being white is an insult? That’s pretty racist, and I doubt Obama would appreciate it considering he is half white.”
“The Joker killed innocent people, they’re trying to insinuate that he’s just another violent black criminal!”
- “The Joker was a crazy white guy. YOU are the one implying that all black people violent criminals by your rhetoric. Oh, and the left would never make a habit of comparing a politician to someone who murdered a lot of innocent people( http://semiskimmed.net/bushhitler.html )
“But Bush is WHITE!”
- “I rest my case.”
Dragging racism–or rather, supposed racism–into this is a cynical attempt on the part of Barry and his minions to shut down debate, divert attention from his incompetence and hubris, and put any critics on the defensive. It’s transparent, it’s disingenuous, and it’s stupid. Things are falling apart for this empty suit, and feigning shock and outrage over this (fairly apt) comparison is the best they can do. If Obama isn’t a socialist, then surely he won’t mind stepping off all this spread-the-misery-and-euthanize-the-elderly BS, will he? Yeah, that’s what I thought.
Let’s face it: BO has now been shown to be closely linked with not one but two racebaiters, and those are just the ones we KNOW about. Racism? He’s soaking in it.
I think making any politician look like the joker is stupid. The Joker is the cool one right? Which one do you wanna be? That sissy Luke Skywalker? Or Darth Vader. See? Same thing.
LA Weekly published a photo of a Palin substitute being actually hung … with a noose.
You missed the picture that proves that even the “a black man in white face is inherently racist” excuse:
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_NUZ_fM-TQKQ/Sbp5woar-II/AAAAAAAAMmw/BoOGuDVSiq8/s400/steele.jpg
Once again, the answer is actually “We’re liberals so when we do it, it’s right.”
…I love how everyone ignores that Obama is half white. It’s just so fun to play the race card!
I’m part Cherokee. I’ma start bitching at everyone who looks at my blonde, blue-eyed ass cross-eyed and tell them that they’re being insensitive because white man stole my land. And, you know, the whole Trail of Tears thing. So, um, no one can ever say anything bad about me ever or else they’re being racist against Native Americans and don’t understand their struggles. Clearly, that’s what I should’ve done to playground bullies, too.
…..that’s not ridiculous, right?
yikes! it’s like their insides are finally showing on the outside!!!
You know when I read this I kept thinking “please don’t say racism, please don’t say racism, please don’t say racism”.
But somehow I knew.
I think Obama’s minions are angry because they missed out on the T-shirt licensing deal.
Pearce: The white man stole Sweden from you? That’s horrible.
How about if more people would strive to study and understand the differences between the varied economic and political “isms” so that they would cease to simply react with misguided emotion to whatever the latest media frame-up is of whoever is the target of the day. With such knowledge, people might be able to distinguish the difference between social programs and the “concept” of Socialism. Or even the difference between Socialism and Communism (seems Americans get these two mixed up a lot). How about the History of Social Welfare in the United States? Anybody willing to spend some time with that topic?
For starters, try learning about the inception, history and role of “social” programs such as MediCal/Medicaid, Medicare, Head Start, Social Security, Community Colleges, State University Systems, Veterans Administration, Regional Centers, to name just a tiny few. Add to that a thorough education and hoped for understanding of the various political and economic systems that influence modern day governments. Then you won’t be such a gullible fish next time a baited hook gets dangled your way. Racism? that’s not the juiciest worm on this hook, folks.
“For starters, try learning about the inception, history and role of “social” programs such as MediCal/Medicaid, Medicare, Head Start, Social Security, Community Colleges, State University Systems, Veterans Administration, Regional Centers, to name just a tiny few.”
Really? Is that REALLY going to be your argument? You realize that lists reads like ‘Apollo 13, Chevy Pinto, Titanic, and Bruce Willis’ singing career’, right? The success rates on the two lists would be startlingly equivalent. Those things right there are the very reason we believe socialism to be a bad idea, because they’re all horribly run. When Walmart beats FEMA to New Orleans by THREE DAYS, you start to see why private enterprise really is the lesser of two evils.
I’m not sure what gives you the impression we don’t understand what the word socialist means, as most here seem to have a pretty good grasp of it. The reason no one acted surprised or outraged that the word Socialist was on the poster is because it’s not an inaccurate description.
He wants to socialize health care, banking, industry, energy production, etc. etc. the list goes on and on. Exactly what part of his policies doesn’t fall under the banner of socialism?
“How about the History of Social Welfare in the United States? Anybody willing to spend some time with that topic?”
Anytime. Just remember before we start that with the exception of the wars, nearly every major issue in a modern day political race is something that the government already has it’s hands in and has screwed up royally – education, medicaid/medicare, social security, ect.
I don’t envy you that argument, it’s hard trying to fight with one arm behind your back and a bucket over your head.
Scott – I think you covered everything I wanted to say, but much better. Thank you.
ScottF, your ex-wife is an idiot. My husband can shut down hopelessly arrogant liberals with the same kind of style; it’s one reason I love him so much.
http://www.redstate.com/jeff_emanuel/2009/08/04/call-for-informants-if-you-oppose-obamacare-the-white-house-wants-to-know-about-it/
Looks like everybody who bitched and whined, loudly, FOR YEARS ON END, about Bush supposedly “stifling dissent” is about to find out what real dissent-stifling looks like.
I thought all the pictures were funny as hell. If you’re going to be a politician, be prepared to take some shots. And that goes for all political parties, including the current Dear Leader’s. Suck it up or go back into private life.
But Obama can’t take criticism. Of any kind. Disagree with him over mustard vs. mayo, and you get called an inbred Klansman.
You know, it’s really not nice to slip Nancy’s publicity still in amongst the all the jokers…
Darla claims that we don’t know the meaning of socialism. Fair enough. I’m sure she’d be glad to educate us sometime on the finer points of socialism.
But for now, let me list what I actually believe in. (You don’t have to call it “capitalism”, really. Feel free to make up a new word and add “ism” to the end of it.)
1) A system wherein the preliminary use of physical force is barred in social relationships. (That is, the initiation of force is barred for any and all reasons. Retaliatory force is permissible, but ONLY against the person or group that initiated the aggression.)
2) The means of production are privately owned.
3) What you earn is yours and is not redistributed. (Which obviously couldn’t be, since that would require the threat of physical force should John Doe refuse to relinquish his wealth.)
4) The owners of the means of production are free to hire and fire you as desired, and you are free to accept the job or to leave at your own whim. You are paid what you contractually agreed to, with the understanding that you are not the “owner” of the business, unless you actually started the business yourself.
5) There is a wall separating Business and State, just as there is (or should be) a wall separating Church and State. Business has no say in State matters, and State has no say in Business matters. State renders neither help nor harm to Business. Business succeeds or fails completely on its own.
6) No one person or group is “entitled” to the fruits of someone else’s labor.
That’s a start. I’m sure as the day wears on I’ll think of more to add to the list.
So Carla, maybe we don’t understand socialism, but I think it’s fair to say that everything in my list is anathema not only to socialists, but to those who advocate a mixed economy. (Call that mixed economy by whatever “ism” you wish.)
My apologies, I referred to you as “Carla” in that last paragraph. Should have read “Darla”.
Here’s another good one:
7) You are free to pursue your own happiness and comfort, with the understanding that you are not obligated to provide happiness and comfort to anyone else. That the moral good is defined in terms of each person’s pursuit of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and that when (s)he pursues his or her own rational self-interest, (s)he is thus practicing what is morally right and proper. (With the understanding that one’s pursuit of his/her own self-interest does not give license to “step on” someone else, consequently there must be a differentiation between “selfishness” and “greed”.) One is free to be selfish and pursue his/her own self-interest (which is the moral good), one does not have the right to be greedy and use force/fraud/deceit to obtain goods and/or services from someone else.
That in itself would prevent socialist programs from being implemented since they naturally rely on the threat of physical force to achieve their goals of wealth redistribution and public ownership. (After all, what if John Doe refuses?)
Vince and ScottF…..ya’ll both get a standing ovation from me.
A friend of mine on Facebook (I am using the word “friend” loosely) did a poll on there on how effective people think Obamagic has been and he complained bitterly that the poll had to have been made by someone who did not like our prez and on top of that, used a pic of him looking gangster. The pic showed O with a ciggie in his mouth. To which I commented that not all of us like him, like his policies, nor like his ideas on what to do.
It’s about time the dissenters get heard.
Long time reader, first time commenter.
I’ve noted a definite string of distaste for Obama’s policies over time reading here on Deceiver, and youthfully I wanted to take exception to it and be upset, but realistically I can’t. But, to the original point in the post against pulling the race card off the bat? This is an epic level of flinging the wrong tool at the wrong job; pulling the race card should not be seen as a trump card, nor used in that manner. Mr Mikulan has only succeeded in demonstrating that he has, at best, a tenuous grasp on misdirection and argument.
Personally? I welcome dissent, and I am nothing if not ecstatic to see people disagreeing with every President. I voted for the man, and though I do not wholeheartedly agree with all of his policies I do think that the direction is right, but the boat may need a little more cooperative steering.
Just felt like throwing in there that not all us liberals are nuts.
Vince – three cheers for you. I can not stand “redistribution”. I worked for it, I wasnt to keep it. If everyone worked for it, then we wouldn’t need to redistribute it.
And don’t forget, if I decide to go to school and further my education, don’t complain when I am making more money, but at the same time have more responsibility. If you want more; learn and earn, don’t tell me about how difficult it is – I already know.
Shush, Pin! Do not question my logic! Gimme back my land! Trail of Tears! *puts fingers in ears* LALALALALALALA!
Also, as several others have said, ScottF is fantastic and has already mentioned most of what I’d have to say.
Remember, gang – when Bush was in charge, dissent was patriotic.
Now, not so much.
Painting Obama up to look like the Joker. Ridiculous. Insulting. Stupid.
After all it’s pretty obvious he should’ve been Two-Face.
I’m not getting the Joker/Socialism connection. Not trying to be a smart ass. I get the Socialist part, but I wonder if they could have used a different model. The two seem inherently dissimilar. I guess the Soviet propaganda thing was played out and this is a stark photograph.
As for the racism thing. Come on…I ask my black friends all the time what are the REAL bad stereotypes for black people? Is there anger because they simply exist? Think about what “awful” stereotypes blacks have to contend with:
-Eat Watermelon. (Tastes GOOD!)
-Eat fried chicken. (Since WHEN did fried chicken suck?)
-Can play bass…and have one automatically in their basement. (Free bass!)
-Can dance.
-Have giant er…appendages. (Automatically laid)
-Can play virtually any sport. (Millions in the bank)
-Can sing.
-Can play drums…you know….being from Africa and all.
-Women got booty. (My fave)
There. I just named off 9 good one’s. I say look at the positive and there are many for black people.
All I’m saying is: I wish us Whities had some cool one’s like that. We get: Genocide, eat jelly sandwiches and hate black people. Yikes. I don’t think this Obama poster had anything to do with race. I didn’t see it and think: “You know what…I need to lynch me a Negro.”
AllyKat:
The slit-mouth reference I believe is to how the “Dark Knight” Joker got the “smile” on his face.
Anyway, I’ve been thinking about what the artist was trying to say with the Obama/Joker comparison and I have some theories…
Perhaps he was making a statement about how we tolerate some socialism but not all: “We have police forces and public schools, and everyone’s okay, it’s all part of the plan, but when I threaten to introduce universal health care…everyone loses their minds!”
Or maybe it was just a blanket statement about socialism: “I would like you all to take part in a social experiment…”
Maybe it was commentary on the unending struggle between socialist and capitalist: “I think you and I are destined to do this forever!”
Or just maybe, it was commentary on Obama’s magician-like qualities: “Watch, as I make this pencil dissappear!”
Or maybe the artist was just thinking, “Let’s put a smile on that face!”
Basically I’m saying I didn’t get the Joker/Socialism connection either, and since it is such a muddled message, one can only assume it is meant to vilify in entirety. I agree with Neal who posted: “this is an epic level of flinging the wrong tool at the wrong job”. And yes, most, if not all social programs are hugely flawed, and should even be dismantled in some cases and/or completely re-tooled , but I still hope to live in a country where I don’t have to be impoverished, over 65, or insured through an EGHP, to have affordable (and undeniable) healthcare options. Does anyone think the insurance companies should have control of our nation’s healthcare options? Oh, and a system for education that is well-funded and available to everyone, would be nice too. Just basic stuff.
I love all the energy over the issues of the government. Keep that enthusiasm going till 2010 guys, and then let it all out in the voting booth. lol
Seriously I am going to print up a bunch of those posters and start putting them around Louisville KY so be prepared to see the news freaking out over this as well. Oh wait, we don’t have such a liberal press here, so most likely people will chuckle and move on.
Vince and ScottF., y’all are my new heroes. I LOVE your replies!
Ummm, isn’t that second pic Nick Nolte? When did he hold office?!?!?
No, it would be much cheaper and more efficient if the government controlled it. That’s what the government does, makes things cheaper and more efficient.
Christopher, stop being ignorant. I’m not sure if you’re trying to be humorous or what but you’re definitely ignorant.
Darla, as for socialism, what’s socialist about the Veteran’s Administration? Nothing the VA does is free. It’s earned with however many years the person was willing to put their life in the hands of the government and do what was asked. The least that can be done is to take care of them, especially those who were injured.
Or…it could be that Obama is like the Joker in the following:
The Joker is a clown, er, sort of. Clowns are supposed to be fun characters for kids’ parties (although a lot of people are afraid of clowns). Therefore the Joker is taking his job description and distorting it to a terrifying extent.
Obama is a politician who has said some stuff in the past. In theory, politicians are supposed to stick to their “principles”…..
I find ALL of these images very offensive and insulting. To Joker, that is. Dude needs his own Anti-Defamation League ASAP.
Hey, there’s some great comments in here. I just wanted to add that I think some of you are reading into the “Joker/Socialism connection” a little too deeply. Maybe there isn’t a connection. Maybe the artist just saw how many other politicians (most of whom are conservatives being trashed by liberals) were photoshopped with Joker before and thought they’d apply the same concept to Obama, because that’s how they felt about Obama and wanted to turn the tables a bit on liberals. Then, they just added the title “Socialism”, no implied connection to Joker at all.
We HAVE a public school system. It doesn’t do so well, regardless of how much money you throw at it. In fact, as the oft-cited example of the DC school system shows, throwing money at a crap system can even have a negative effect on performance. The public school system in the US is yet another to add to ScottF’s list above: Apollo 13, Ford Pinto, etc., etc….
It’d also be great if we had a “system” that went around providing fresh fruit for every kid in America, twice a day, plus calisthenics, multivitamins, and pony rides. But the surest way to FUBAR that would be to put it in the hands of the feds.
I maintain my previous statements concerning the school system: I don’t know how things are in your state, but where I grew up if you didn’t blow off high school, you got a state scholarship to college. I have very little sympathy for people complaining about the “expense” of a state university or community college. But that’s on the state level, not the national level. Federal involvement in something like that would be a disaster – take it from someone who used to have to help people stumble through Pell Grants, subsidized loans, and all that.
Elle: the twoface comment was epic, I think I love you
Um, I didn’t say any of those programs were “Socialist”. I meant to point out that programs some might view as necessary and perhaps entitlements, are in fact, for better or worse, “social programs” managed and/or funded by Government. State or Federal. While not “Socialism” per se, my intended point (admittedly with arm behind back and bucket over head, as was pointed out) is many Americans seem to expect government to take care of them at some point, but are inclined to react emotionally to the word “Socialism”, a lot of the time confusing that concept with Communism, and not understanding either term. So, people want social support from the government, when they themselves need it, but are fundamentally opposed to programs that offer support to society because that is Socialism? And I agree, the Veteran’s Administration does very little, in my opinion, to better the lives of the men and women who served the military, and now maybe have medical or psychological issues as a result of that service. I wasn’t holding up any of those programs as models of efficiency or perfection. Only examples of programs that Americans expect the government to provide them. Maybe WalMart could do a better job than FEMA, but they’d still expect the government to pay them on our behalf.
BTW, I just read the most recent PETA piece here, with the knife wielding chicken suit and bloody ketchup and what not, and I have to say the mentality behind the Joker/Socialism poster is on a par with PETA’s chicken suit. Trying for shock value no matter who gets hurt or misunderstands the message. No thanks.
Rocko…how am I ignorant? Here are the definitions:
1. lacking in knowledge or training; unlearned: an ignorant man.
2. lacking knowledge or information as to a particular subject or fact: ignorant of quantum physics.
3. uninformed; unaware.
4. due to or showing lack of knowledge or training: an ignorant statement.
What don’t I know since I am “definitely” ignorant. I mean heck…YOU said so!
Come on….you grinned a little at that post.
By using the “Socialism” label, instead of the more obvious “Why so socialist?” or “Why so stimulus?” the artist invites audience participation.
He was brought to power as a symbol and he can be stripped of power as a symbol.
Darla, I personally don’t want social support from the government at all. Even as a “displaced person,” (I lived in New Orleans during Katrina…and moved back there), I didn’t take, expect, or want FEMA money. I didn’t take jack in support after I moved to Baton Rouge and had Gustav tear the back porch off my house, either. A lot of companies were VERY good in helping their employees and went out of their way to make sure they were financially taken care of…without the FEMA nightmares….which have literally ruined lives. My job at the time managed to screw me over despite my a salaried employee, so that kind of sucked for a little while, but that was something to take up with the company, not the government.
I’m fairly certain I’m not the only one around here with this sort of attitude.
I sometimes wonder why there doesn’t seem to be the outcry from the black community when people throw around false accusation of racism like there is when someone makes a false rape accusation, it trivializes actual racism and victims of it and makes claims of racism meaningless, so if you claim you were a victim of racism a large portion of the public will dismiss it like you claimed you saw a UFO or bigfoot.
Pearce, neither individuals, corporations nor governments can be trusted to do the right thing, for everyone, and in every instance, but obviously from your description, the quality of the responses you saw among businesses was different depending on just who was in charge. The company culture, so to speak, Generally it is the CEOs who establish that. Your company sucked, but other companies did better. It was a choice they made, for good or not, but there were no mandates for their actions either way. We all now know that “Brownie”, the man put in charge of FEMA as a good-buddy favor, thought he was getting a plum, kick-back appointment. Had somebody competent, who actually wanted to be useful been appointed and in charge, perhaps the quality of FEMAs response would have been more helpful, rather than shameful. You made a personal decision not to take FEMA money, and hopefully you had enough personal resources to rebuild, or just sucked it up not wanting to deal with FEMA crap. I have seen many abuses of FEMA monies by persons who had the resources to build anew on their own, yet took money anyway, in some instances a lot of money, with the attitude that somebody else would help themselves, so why not them? If individuals and corporations could be counted on to do the right thing in every instance, we certainly wouldn’t need government, but that’s not likely to happen in my lifetime.
“Had somebody competent, who actually wanted to be useful been appointed and in charge, perhaps the quality of FEMAs response would have been more helpful, rather than shameful.”
See, that’s the part of the equation you seem to be missing. Government and business are different in one very crucial aspect, especially when it comes to things like dealing with a disaster – companies that are still in business know how to get results quickly and efficiently, governments do not.
If you ran a business like they run the government, you would be bankrupt in six weeks. The only reason government continues to exist is that there isn’t a viable alternative to turn to like you can do with a business that is run horribly. A consequence of us having no viable alternative is that they can run things as badly as they feel like, and you had better learn to like it peasant. We hold no power over the government, no bargaining chip, against a corporation we have the most valuable bargaining chip in existence – our money. Without our money, they wither and die, so they actually NEED us. It’s in their best interests that we are happy and flush with disposable income, because if we’re not, they’re out of the job.
Having been in the military, it’s always freaking infuriating how most civilians believe that any time the government gets involved in something that they’re capable of ‘cutting through the red tape and getting shit done’. What? The Government is the birthplace of red tape! It’s where productivity comes to die! You can’t requisition a stapler without seven forms filled out in triplicate that can only be submitted on a rotating Thursday during the vernal equinox. God forbid you need the staples too, that involves shaving a leprechaun and a quantity of goat cheese even I’m uncomfortable with.
Now have you ever worked for a major corporation? If the President of Randomcorp America sees people in New Orleans suffering from dehydration and lack of medical supplies, and he picks up the phone and demands that his company send out thirty trucks full of water and bandages, how long do you imagine that will take if the people he issued the orders to value their jobs? THAT is the difference.
It’s beside the point, but since the “shameful” FEMA response to Katrina was brought up, I find it amusing that Nagin and Blanco’s [lack of] appropriate response gets glossed over pretty much every fargin’ time. FEMA may have dropped the ball, but the people who were RIGHT THERE, whose immediate job it was to coordinate and help and mobilize, sat on their incompetent asses and blamed the feds.
shit taste different in their own mouth, doesn’t it? They can dish it out but cannot take it, typical liberal.
And the ones of Hillary scare me the most.
Thank God , these Obama The Socialist joker Pictures are all the rage….Who cares if The liberals at deceiver.com hate it…Hope it spreads across the planet…It’s racist for even thinking obama isn’t allowed to be touched except if you happen to be white. White guilt prevails at deceiver.com…
Uh-oh, SydRoky has found us out.
Neal:
Good on ya. Some of my best friends at work are waaaay to the left of me on a lot of things, and we have an enjoyable debating society that meets over lunch on Fridays. We’re all intelligent, well-educated, and not given to ad-hominem insults, so that helps.
Our agreed-upon premise is that we all want the same things – a country that is free, prosperous, and strong – but disagree on how to go about achieving this.
No-one in our debate club would call this Joker poster racist, because we understand what real racism is.
Beige, don’t even get me started on Nagin and his chocolate city…
The Fraud is a joker, unfortunately the joke is on all you koolaid drinkers. Racist, give me a break! Obama is the racist. But then again, maybe he just act’s ‘stupidly”
What is a chocolate city?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chocolate_City_speech
I’ve decided that Failisiana politicians should just never give speeches. Ever.
Pearce
If you play your cards right you could trade in your Volvo for 20 acres in the Smokey Mountains.
Darla
If you want to be in good shape when you are 65 etc-listen to Dave Ramsey 3 hours a day.
Okay. All of that is fascinating. But why are Palin’s teeth so yellow compared to everybody else?
@Pinandpuller: Dave Ramsey is why we have savings, no credit cards, and MUCH less stress and angst than most of the people we know. Although I’m sure those savings and retirement accounts now have big bulleyes painted on them.
But…I don’t have a Volvo.
And isn’t Volvo now owned by Ford?
No I didn’t Christopher. And see definitions 3 or 4.
This is always a bit hard for me to explain but I will try. The quotation marks around the word awful imply, at least to me, that you don’t think these stereotypes are awful and they are.
http://patriotupdate.com/stories/read/688/Violence-Against-Black-Conservative-at-Town-Hall-Meeting
Notice that the St. Louis Post-Dispatch admits, as of this writing, that one of their own reporters was among those arrested in connection with this assault.
I never heard of Dave Ramsey. So since I’m sitting here doing nothing, I Googled him. When I clicked on his sponsored link it took me to his page and it said I could get a “FREE BOOK BUNDLE”!
It’s “Two excellent audio lessons, plus Dave’s New York Times best seller “The Total Money Makeover” for FREE! All free?! But it says it’s $19.99. Hmmmm.
Sure HE’S debt free because people will pay $20 for FREE books. I guess I could’ve misread that.
Yeah, I know what you mean, Pasta. I’m sure FPU has enriched Ramsey considerably. But it does work.
I see you linked to my Hilary Joker picture. Nice. But, don’t go assuming I am making a political statement. I just thought it was a funny picture of her that begged for a quick n’ dirty photoshop. You have zero idea regarding my stance on politics.
Sometimes a picture is just a picture. If you want to make a political commentary over it, fine. But, don’t assume I had an agenda.
Don’t assume I assumed you had an agenda. The point was that Obama is hardly the first politician from either party to be depicted as the Joker.
