Looks Like John Edwards Is in Rielle Trouble Again

guesswhosbackThe Raleigh News & Observer observes this news:

Rielle Hunter, John Edwards’ former girlfriend, slipped in the back door of the federal courthouse this morning to speak to a grand jury.

Hunter carried her daughter, Frances Quinn Hunter, who was born in February 2008. Edwards, a former senator from North Carolina, has denied being the father of Frances, though he has admitted an affair with Hunter during his failed run in 2006 for the Democratic nomination for president…

A federal grand jury is investigating whether Edwards misused campaign funds as hush money for Hunter.

Hunter, a recovered drug addict and videographer, was paid $100,000 by the Edwards campaign in 2006 to produce a series of videos offering an intimate look at Edwards during his campaign. As part of the investigation, the grand jury may ask questions that will help them determine whether Hunter was paid a fair market rate for her work.

Andrew Young, a former Edwards aide who claimed paternity of Hunter’s daughter, has pitched a tell-all book to a New York publisher. In his proposal, Young said he is not the father of Frances Quinn and that he earlier took responsibility for the child as a favor to Edwards.

It was one year ago this week when the Rielle Hunter story blew up, despite the efforts of 99.9% of the media to sweep it under the rug for almost a month. (Not to mention the efforts of persons unknown to erase all evidence of Hunter’s existence from the Internet.) Is it about to flare up all over again? I kind of hope not… I still haven’t recovered from the sleep deprivation the last time it did.

I would like to see the man, well no he is not a man he is a worm. Please let me start again. I would like to see the worm a.k.a. John Edwards try and get out of this one. But what will happen is the msm will sweep this under the rug for him.

  2. 2 Angry Army Wife Aug 6th, 2009 at 12:56 pm

I love the fact that even Andrew Young is coming out with a book. What is it with this group of people? John Edwards is worse than a worm, he is a slug. No offense to the rest of the slugs out there

  3. 3 Aleric Aug 6th, 2009 at 12:57 pm

And the MSM doesn’t say a word about this either.

  4. 4 Minnow Aug 6th, 2009 at 1:19 pm

Damn. I didn’t realize Rielle was also a recovering videographer.

    You go girl!

Oh no. I’m afraid there could be videos out there. You know. THOSE kinds of videos.

    Okay: EWWWW!

Great, now I am gonna need some bleach. Thank you very much

The John Edwards grand jury convened on April 1, 2009. More than four months later they’ve just gotten around to hearing the testimony of one of the most pivotal witnesses.

Sadly, Johnny has kept the beautiful Rielle under wraps with promises of marriage and a happily ever after future subsequent to Elizabeth’s demise (actuarial tables show it as likely to be twelve years in the future, or 2021) and this morning she made only the briefest of appearances.

Sadly, also, veteran scumbag attorney Fred Baron became the definition of Karma when he succumbed to cancer, taking his share of misdirected campaign checks to the grave with him.

Fortunately, Andrew Baron’s testimony alone will be enough to indict this ham sandwich, and who knows, Andrew Baron may turn out not to be the parasitic, homoerotic, slave substitute Elizabeth Edwards spelled him out (as campaign volunteer “Jim”) after all, though I’ll wait for the book and the results of Rielle Hunter’s testimony to determine that.

  8. 8 Fortunate_Son Aug 6th, 2009 at 6:31 pm

Above shoudl read Andrew YOUNG, not Baron. Sorry, he was such a bit player in this whole mess I forgot his name.

  9. 9 Freak Show Aug 6th, 2009 at 7:40 pm

Sorry AAW. But you know with the way these people are that it’s at least likely.

The eye wash station is over in the corner there.

Remember the playbook: it’s only sex, it’s private and nobody else’s business…

…unless you’re a Republican. Then it’s dirty, shameful, disgusting, and you must resign.

  11. 11 Marilyn Aug 6th, 2009 at 11:19 pm

Fortunate Son – My guess is you either worked for JRE’s or Hillary’s presidential campaign. If you are so concerned with Rielle’s welfare, why haven’t you advised her to pursue the paternity issue? But love is blind – my guess is old Johnny boy loves his “money” more than his “honey” and Elizabeth wasn’t going to give him a divorce even if he wanted a divorce.

I hope Elizabeth lives that long for her children “(actuarial tables show it as likely to be twelve years in the future, or 2021)” as I have a feeling John will be doing time in a “federal pen”.

If you are a friend to Rielle advise her to move on with her life – find someone else to be a father to Frances. Rielle is still young enough to find someone else.

  12. 12 Marilyn Aug 6th, 2009 at 11:24 pm

One more thing – Rielle was in the courthouse for more than 8 hours. Why did she bring Frances with her? Does she not have anyone to leave her daughter with while she testified or was she just rubbing this in Edwards face?

  13. 13 Koka Aug 7th, 2009 at 12:17 am

Marilyn, my wager would go on the rubbing it in Edward’s face. NO ONE in their right mind wants to sit with a baby for that long anywhere unless it is at home.

  14. 14 Darla Aug 7th, 2009 at 12:26 am

Why on Earth would anyone bring an infant to a Grand Jury investigation. Was she hoping the smell of poopy diapers would somehow be beneficial to her testimony? Won’t somebody please tell her that the hair “scrunchy” went the way of John Edward’s political career a long time ago?

  15. 15 Beige Aug 7th, 2009 at 7:39 am

How could Elizabeth refuse to “give” John a divorce? This isn’t the 1950s.

And yeah, she dragged the kid along in case anyone forgot, even for ONE SECOND, that she’s the mother of Edwards’ lurve child. Because nothing says “We did it” like a cranky infant.

  16. 16 Fortunate Son Aug 7th, 2009 at 8:58 am

    Ahh, Marilyn’s back. Where’s HappyCamper?

Marilyn brings up a good point. Contary to the turnstyle appearances earlier news accounts relayed, the beautiful Rielle was at that Courthouse for more than nine hours, a full day of either waiting to testify, being prepped to testify, or testifying.

    Why the kid?

If Hunter is testifying pro-Edwards, the kid could be a shield from prosecutors, who are reluctant to hammer home on a “good mommy” in court, and also a character reference not dissimilar to the the mass murderer whose whole family shows up in court.

If Hunter is testifying against-Edwards, its a living reminder of what a duplicitious, conniving liar John Edwards is, how he’ll go to the ends of the earth to avoid telling the truth, on court, or to the media.

  17. 17 someoone Aug 7th, 2009 at 10:04 am

    “Jim” isn’t Andrew Young.

  18. 18 Marilyn Aug 7th, 2009 at 10:19 am

I thought you have to tell the truth when testifying before the grand jury? How can Rielle spin the truth pro or anti Edwards?

  19. 19 Beige Aug 7th, 2009 at 10:47 am

You also “have to” refrain from spending campaign $$ on corner-walkers, but Edwards/Hunter/everyone involved seems to have turned a blind eye to that one.

  20. 20 Angry Army Wife Aug 7th, 2009 at 11:53 am

He is just taking advice from his buddy, Bill. What “is” the definition of “is”?

  21. 21 Fortunate_Son Aug 7th, 2009 at 5:28 pm

    “Jim” isn’t Andrew Young.

I thought you have to tell the truth when testifying before the grand jury? How can Rielle spin the truth pro or anti Edwards?

    -Marilyn

Then why bother having a trial or defining perjury when swearing in witnesses?

If the Grand Jury reveals the whole truth, there would be no need for a trial or perjury definitions.

  22. 22 Happy Camper Aug 7th, 2009 at 5:45 pm

Oh you miss me Fortunate Son. I wasn’t going to post but you missed me. How many times can one point out the obvious. He’s a whore chasin’ hillbilly and she’s the whore.

BTW, that baby didn’t go into the court room with her. No judge is going to put up with a crying baby for 5 hours. That would be grounds for a mistrial or something if the people involved coundn’t pay attention to what was going on. They kept the kid in another room with a sitter.

My bet is she wanted to shove the baby in EE’ face. EE sue her and her whore chasin’ boyfriend. Kick them to the curve and let them live in that bedroom in NJ. That is after he gets out of jail for campaign finance violations and she gets out for income tax evasion. Man the child will be in college before she sees them again.

The beautiful R#####? Are you blind? She can’t even change to look like something to go to court. Well, she won’t ever end up on the best dressed list. You have a chance with her. JE may be in jail longer than she is. She’ll need another man by then, unless you don’t have any money. No money is a deal breaker. If you have a wife she won’t mind that so much.

  23. 23 Marilyn Aug 8th, 2009 at 3:33 am

I noticed there was a women who either met the SUV or was also in the car as she carried Rielle’s oversized “designer” pursue which may have been a diaper bag.

    http://www.wral.com/news/local/video/5740200/

You’re right Happy Camper, Rielle used this opportunity to rub the the baby in EE’s face. She turned Frances’s face not once but twice towards the cameras has they walked up to the back door of the courthouse. What a good mother – I guess she didn’t want to piss JE off too much now did she! Because RH still is planning to be with her “love lips”.

One of the clips shown suggests whether there is a possibility of a sealed court ordered DNA analysis. Course this could be all media hype.

  24. 24 Happy Camper Aug 8th, 2009 at 7:53 am

If Andrew Young is telling the truth and JE made booty calls at his house when RH was staying there, that baby is his or he has a fetish for pregnant women. What kind of parents allow a man to make booty calls to his pg mistress when they have 3 young children in the house? I wonder what they told the boys about what “Uncle Johnny” was doing making all that noise in the guest bedroom. RH has a thing for guest bedrooms in other peoples houses doesn’t she? Can’t manage to get anything of her own just steals and lives off of other peoples hard work.

There isn’t enough soap and water in the world to wash the stench of her off of JE. He might as well go to jail, he’s not good enough for anything else anymore.

  25. 25 Fortunate_Son Aug 8th, 2009 at 10:08 am

And also to think that if Andrew Young is telling the truth, and the National Enquirer wa not quite so diligent, John Edwards would be Obama’s Attorney General right now.

If Andrew Young is telling the truth… He might as well go to jail, he’s not good enough for anything else anymore

  26. 26 Happy Camper Aug 8th, 2009 at 11:26 am

Ya, that sucks doesn’t it? Yea, Enquirer. Well at least we throw our adulters under the bus with their mistresses. The Repugs keep theirs cause they have a “Divine Right” to lead, so it doesn’t matter who or how many they screw, they stay in office. No one that I know of has done a story on John Ensign on this site. He had to have his mommie pay his mistress off for pity sake. And he is running for office again. Does his electorate by his BS, or will they stand up and throw him under the bus where he belongs?

“Well at least we throw our adulters under the bus with their mistresses. The Repugs keep theirs cause they have a “Divine Right” to lead, so it doesn’t matter who or how many they screw, they stay in office.”

Yeah, cause Clinton totally resigned right? And he was boning an intern IN THE WHITE HOUSE – slightly worse than a guest bedroom at a friend’s house wouldn’t you say? I am all for political divisiveness (it’s kinda my bread and butter), but even I know this isn’t a party issue, it’s a politician issue.

In Europe most of them don’t even bother to hide the fact they have mistresses, which frankly wouldn’t bother me a whole hell of a lot if we adopted it. Then again, I’ve never believed that one’s sex-life has a lot to do with their effectiveness for a job, lying about their sex life on the other hand… I never minded slick willy getting lucky in the oval office, it was the fact he lied to a court and the entire country in the process, as it proved he had no respect at all for the legal system he’s supposed to be enforcing (aka his job).

I have an absolutely fantastic mechanic, he went to high school with my older brother and he has always taken good care of me and my family. If I found out he was cheating on his wife, you think I’d stop bringing my car to him? Hell no. Why? Because a good mechanic is hard to find – so is a good politician. Luckily for me, it’s usually the awful ones who end up getting busted sleeping around though. Like Clinton and Edwards.

  30. 30 Happy Camper Aug 8th, 2009 at 6:54 pm

    Or Ensign, Pickering, and Sanford.

There are probably a lot of people in the world still alive because Bill Clinton didn’t resign. The killing aparently started with his successor and his Black Water thugs. Clinton didn’t “bone” anyone. Remember “oral sex” isn’t really sex. At least that is what men want you to believe. BTW, the 1st politician to use this excuse was the serial adulter, Newt Gingrich. I guess he was afraid to be alone, so he picked his next wife before he got rid of the one he had. He must be getting old and no one wants him anymore so he’s sticking with his last wife. Oh? wasn’t she his intern?

Screwing someone who isn’t your wife is screwing someone who isn’t your wife. It doesn’t matter where you do it, how you do it, and 1 time is too many.

I’d probably keep the mechanic too and just not talk about his short comings.

Simon, just saying you seemed to hit everyone else, just not Ensign.

  31. 31 Scott F. Aug 8th, 2009 at 7:58 pm

Oh come on! First off, why do liberals always cite Black Water? Hon, I got news for you, Black Water has fewer confirmed kills en mass than my friend Mike (who is a scout sniper) racked up in a couple bad weeks in Fallujah. The only reason you guys bring up Black Water is because you don’t have the balls to call out actual soldiers. Believe me, if it’s killing Iraqis that bothers you, we’ve done a whole hell of a lot more than Black Water could ever dream of.

And what, Clinton didn’t kill anyone? Yeah, we never bombed Kosovo under his administration (little side note there – wanna guess what percentage of the bombs we dropped on Kosovo were ’smart’ bombs? Here’s a hint, a much lower percentage than was used in Iraq in 2003 and you saw how much collateral damage we caused even with more than 90% use of JDAM munitions. We missed in Kosovo more often than we hit, and it’s just funny to me how no one mentions that because a Democrat was President.) Not to mention his ‘precision strike’ that leveled a Chinese Embassy in Belgrade. And Gee, who was President when my comrades were being killed needlessly in the Battle of Mogadishu? How did that work out for us by the way? At least when Bush took us to war he didn’t ask us to fight with our hands tied behind our backs and a blindfold on.

I suppose you missed our mens’ corpses being dragged through the freaking streets on live TV after another humiliating defeat served up at the hands of a Democrat too afraid of public opinion polls to unleash our military the way it was designed to be. But yeah, other then that, I suppose the killing started with Bush right? Again, never mind the fact he was in office for nearly a year before 9/11 catapulted us into war and up until that point he hadn’t fired a single shot in anger at anyone.

  32. 32 Fortunate_Son Aug 8th, 2009 at 10:34 pm

And there are a million plus dead Rwandans because Clinton not only refused to intervene, he ordered US Government employees to stop referring to it as a “genocide”.

“There are probably a lot of people in the world still alive because Bill Clinton didn’t resign.”

    Say it all you like.

  34. 34 Happy Camper Aug 9th, 2009 at 4:37 pm

Simon, I don’t really care. Just saying it’s odd.

Bill Clinton’s regret was Rowanda. But you have to remember, The R’s fought him on everything he did and they when they were in power did what they wanted to. Now I’m not against every R.
This new group is distructive. I’m afraid they will incite another OKC bombing. I had family who were at risk from that wingnut.

We had Jimmy Carter in our state this week. He came to a church meeting. There were multiple threats made against him. 5-6 were so bad they had to be turned into the secret service. Wheither we agree or not, this is nuts. This isn’t the way we should be talking to each other. In the 60’s we had to have a president killed, an activist killed and a presidential candidate killed before we started to act human again. Please God, not again.

  35. 35 Beige Aug 9th, 2009 at 5:32 pm

At what point in the 60s or 70s did anybody “act human again”? Have you SEEN what people were wearing?

Amazing that Bill Clinton’s dickishness on Rwanda works out to be the GOP’s fault. As does Timothy McVeigh. If they had that much power, how and why would they EVER lose an election?

  36. 36 Simon Scowl Aug 10th, 2009 at 3:58 am

    Simon, I don’t really care.

    Clearly.

  37. 37 Angry Army Wife Aug 10th, 2009 at 8:54 am

How is it that people forget that it was under Clinton that the first World Trade Center bombing happened, not to mention the USS Cole? All those Rangers who lost their life in Somalia because of worthless handling of what went on there. Clinton had Osama in his sites numerous occasions and called off the hits because he did not want to offend anyone. Newsflash. 9/11 took 4 years to plan – under Clinton. Clinton had an affair While in office as the President and then lied about it. People tend to forget that as well. It is rather funny that the Dems issue passes on those kinds of things, but want the Republicans to do the right thing and step down.

  38. 38 Beige Aug 10th, 2009 at 9:23 am

AAW, I guess it’s because conservatives are evil. Deep in our racist, hatemongering, war-profiteering, animal-abusing, cross-burning, homeschooling hearts, we just can’t stand for the pure, holy light of liberalism to shine out and free the masses from our tyranny. Why, I’m using a cattle prod as I write this, to force several liberals to do my housework–and I won’t let them join a union or have late-term abortions.. Because I’m EVIL.

Looks like Rielle is going for round two of PR (shove in Elizabeth’f face). The sister who Rielle hadn’t spoken to in 15 years is going to be on Monday’s Entertainment Tonight. Here’s the link:

Interesting when you click on “Rielle Hunter’s Sister reveals secrets” it doesn’t find the page. Hmmm? Anyway, enough with the drama Rielle and family. Do the right thing for Frances – go to family court and get child support.

Then STFU and get on with your lives.

“There are probably a lot of people in the world still alive because Bill Clinton didn’t resign.”

Yeah, like those 3,000 people who didn’t die on 9/11, because Clinton slashed intelligence & military resources for 8 years.

  43. 43 Angry Army Wife Aug 10th, 2009 at 12:52 pm

And did not go after Osama the first time. Ilove the stickers that said “Clinton lied, nobody died.” Really? Cause I have a bunch of Army guys who lost their lives in Somalia AND the sailors who lost their lives on the USS Cole, not to mention the other bombings that went on. Having an affair, hmm? Let’s bomb Afghanistan and get the media off of my back.

  44. 44 Reggie Greene / The Logistician Aug 10th, 2009 at 5:45 pm

I developed a great admiration for Elizabeth Edwards and her approach to this traumatic experience in her life. I strongly suspect that despite the recent trials and tribulations, there must be a strong foundation based on something which may not be easily defined, which keeps them together. Let’s hope that the family unit is not further damaged by whatever is disclosed during these hearings.

  45. 45 Marilyn Aug 10th, 2009 at 9:43 pm

I guess Johnny boy must have renewed his promises to Rielle in time to stop Entertainment Tonight from showing and removing from their website the Roxanne Marshall’s (Rielle’s estranged sister) interview.

On another thought, could it have something to do with Rielle’s testimony to the Grand Jury?

My bet is there won’t be any indictment against Edwards.

  46. 46 someoone Aug 11th, 2009 at 10:58 am

I don’t have to read that book, I lived it. I’m going to say it again, even though you’re going to throw those inaccurate links at me, “Jim” is not Andrew Young, and I do know whereof I speak. I’m sorry other people are inaccurately and hastily coming to that too-convenient conclusion, but it is not true. Jim is an older man, immediately recognizable to anyone inside this situation. Andrew is a different problem altogether for Elizabeth. I know you think what you think, but you should be a little open to knowledge rather than blind speculation.

I guess they already had their own Crock-pots.
