Nancy Pelosi Makes It Way Too Easy

From today’s editorial by Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer in USA Today, commenting on the recent townhall meetings at which members of the public refuse to just keep their disagreements about health care reform to themselves:

These disruptions are occurring because opponents are afraid not just of differing views — but of the facts themselves. Drowning out opposing views is simply un-American.

Well, Nancy, there’s another American beauty who thinks you’re full of it:

But don’t worry, I just reported her “fishy” behavior to Flag@whitehouse.gov. How can we be free if people are allowed to say things we don’t like?

Update: What was that about drowning people out?

I was waiting for someone to bring up the flag@whitehouse.gov. People are starting to find out that “Big Brother” doesn’t just refer to a crappy reality tv show.

It’s embarrassing that that person is from my state.
I STILL am planning on renting a bill board outside of San Fran that has a big bull-eye, and stating “North Korea Aim Here” on it.

I saw the most unintentionally funny thing on CNN – “Obama to critics: get out of the way”

They did not have the followup (but they really should have)- “critics to Obama: We’re in the way for a reason goddammit!”

  4. 4 Beige Aug 10th, 2009 at 7:22 pm

Heh. America to Obama: “Suck it, Jugears”.

I think Nancy Pelosi is absolutely WONDERFUL. The way she’s always jetting back and forth across the Atlantic, shuttling between her demanding job in Congress and the shooting schedule for “Primeval”. She’s the most compelling pteranodon, like, EVER. You go, Nancy!

  5. 5 Rocko Aug 10th, 2009 at 7:31 pm

Seriously though it’s like I stepped into bizarro world, all of a sudden disagreeing with the President is a bad thing.

  6. 6 Jenn Aug 10th, 2009 at 8:05 pm

I hate her so much. Just seeing her now makes my skin crawl. Her ugly mug has been up on Drudge all day – barf. Apparently voters are to seen and not heard according to this witch.
Maybe her and Hoyer’s editorial will have gone to far and Obama will rein them in? I would think this is not the kind of news he needs heading into some town hall meetings of his own.

  7. 7 Jenn Aug 10th, 2009 at 8:06 pm

And Swede where do I send money for that billboard? :-D

  8. 8 angry army wife Aug 10th, 2009 at 9:06 pm

us bitter Americans cannot question the messiah. We need to bow down to him. God forbid we have our own thoughts and our own opinions.

“Apparently voters are to seen and not heard according to this witch.” ~ Jen

No, they don’t want to see us either. Especially not in our Brooks Brothers middle class workwear when they’re trying to conduct a town hall.

  10. 10 Koka Aug 10th, 2009 at 9:45 pm

Sponge rollers……….ya gotts ta get some. And a big ol’ muumuu, big enough to have a circus underneath. Show up with a can of Bud in one hand and a Virginia Slim in the other.

I guarantee you’ll get on camera!

  11. 11 Scott F. Aug 10th, 2009 at 10:39 pm

I got an E-mail from a friend yesterday saying that in order to make sure we’re not lumped in with the “Brooks Brothers” club, all police, firemen, and former military should attend in their dress uniforms. Lets see the union thugs shout down those guys, and hope someone brings a camera.

Does anyone else besides me think we are being ‘primed’ for a civil war?

  13. 13 Fortunate_Son Aug 10th, 2009 at 11:34 pm

I thought it was pretty hypocritical when she proposed taxing all cosmetic medical procedures, as she is obviously has had some of these procedures, including completly paralyzing forehead muscles.

As Botox is a neurotoxin, I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that is the source of her dementia.

Plastic surgeons in California allegedly ask “Do you want a little Botox, or a Pelosi-dose?”

  14. 14 AllyKat Aug 10th, 2009 at 11:41 pm

Another thing that is too easy: The reason she can say these things with a straight face is she religiously (!) keeps up the face lifts. Think that those are covered by the public “option”?

  15. 15 California Dave Aug 11th, 2009 at 3:06 am

Between the White House wanting you to report on anyone who disseminates “fishy” information and Pelosi saying that protesting is “un-American”, maybe they should start a Congressional committee that will combine both sections.

What would they call it? I know – the “House Un-American Activities Committee”.

Why not? It worked before, didn’t it?

  16. 16 Jenn Aug 11th, 2009 at 7:17 am

As they paint Americans as ‘un-American’ they are showing the true level of their derangement. Dave – I am sure that Pelosi,Houyer et al would fail to see the irony in recreating a “House Un-American Activities Committee”.

  17. 17 Beige Aug 11th, 2009 at 8:12 am

Mermaid, it’s scary to think about, but yeah. Absolutely. Not necessarily a north-versus-south thing, but definitely liberals-vs-conservative, which (largely but not entirely) would also fall along racial lines.

Anybody seen the job announcements on GoArmy.com, where they’re recruiting relocation and internment specialists? (No, that is not a joke.) Sort of made me wonder if B. Ho toured those German concentration camps just to pick up some helpful tips.

  18. 18 Ln Aug 11th, 2009 at 8:35 am

I was reading an article about the “interruptions” at the town hall meetings this past weekend and one senator accused a gentleman for being sent to the meetings by the “oppostition” and the man responded “I wasn’t sent here, I came here on my own.” to which the senator then implied that no real American would do something like that, only the opposition.

If I didn’t know better I would say they were brainwashed prior to leaving D.C. because they all seem to have the same answer for why people don’t agree with them.

  19. 19 Angry Army Wife Aug 11th, 2009 at 8:36 am

And instead of Jews he will round up those crazy, right winged people who thought they lived in the land of freedom and democracy. Silly us. John ADams is officially rolling in his grave.

  20. 20 Ln Aug 11th, 2009 at 8:40 am

Thinking about it. The idea of succession is not too bad. I wonder how long the deocratic ideal of those who work give more to those who don’t want to work would last without the people who work?

Let’s see how long Nancy and Barry are willing to pay more than their fair share? Has anyone really looked at their past tax records to see how many loopsholes they used to reduce their taxable income?

  21. 21 Hmmm... Aug 11th, 2009 at 9:40 am

    Ln,

“Thinking about it. The idea of succession is not too bad. I wonder how long the deocratic ideal of those who work give more to those who don’t want to work would last without the people who work?”

Not to mention that if the conservative states and liberal states split up, the liberals would lose pretty much the entire bread basket of America. Also, since Texas and Alaska would most likely be on the conservative side, liberals would also lose their domestic oil. Heck, the conservative states would probably even have a pretty nifty military force considering North Dakota not only has the highest number of people in the armed forces per capita (not that that’s saying a whole lot) but also has roughly as many nukes as they have farms up there (which is saying a whole lot).

  22. 22 Aleric Aug 11th, 2009 at 9:56 am

Speaking of which, did everyone see Billarys melt down at a conference in Africa when a student asked her a question and it was not Interpreted properly. The wanted to know how Obama felt about an issue but the interpreter said Bill Clinton, and she started yelling that Bill was not secretary of state, she was. It was priceless to show people how much of a Bitch she is.

  23. 23 Angry Army Wife Aug 11th, 2009 at 10:21 am

Loved it myself. I also saw where Bill celebrated his 63rd b-day in Vegas. While the cat is away, the mouse will play….

  24. 24 Jenn Aug 11th, 2009 at 11:47 am

If you looked at Drudge this am – below the headline regarding Bill’s 63rd birthday in Vegas is this headline…. ‘Progress In Herpes Treatment’. Heh heh

  25. 25 Minnow Aug 11th, 2009 at 11:57 am

Would somebody, anybody, please douse the Witch of the West and the Witch of the Carpetbaggers with a bucket of mop water?

Then we can quickly crank out a few verses of Ding Dong over the bubbling green ooze and resume our little munchkin lives…

  26. 26 Angry Army Wife Aug 11th, 2009 at 12:03 pm

Jenn, you saw that too? Did you think the same thing I did….. Nasty old man.

  27. 27 Jenn Aug 11th, 2009 at 12:43 pm

Oh yes AAW – made me laugh and shudder at the same time.

  28. 28 Koka Aug 11th, 2009 at 1:29 pm

    Fortunate_Son…….Pelosi-dose….LOL

I always call her facial expression the “shit-eating-dog-grin”. Because that is exactly what she looks like.

I cannot wait til the entire ground is yanked out beneath her.

  29. 29 Angry Army Wife Aug 11th, 2009 at 2:11 pm

Koka, you mean the very ground that houses the in danger field mouse that the taxpayers just paid $30 million to keep around? I hope so. Maybe then her face will break apart from all of the botox sessions. I still think Hillary is scary to look at but Pelosi exceeds her.

Thanks for the heads-up Beige. Dear lord, that is some frightening stuff. The worst part is, I wouldn’t put it past Obama or Pelosi to lock up all the right-wing people who disagree with them in the name of justice.

  32. 32 Angry Army Wife Aug 11th, 2009 at 4:20 pm

Some think that they use Facebook to track our moves by what we join and what we say. I would not put it past them. THey hated George Bush and the Patriot Act until they realized what they could do with that kind of power.

  33. 33 AllyKat Aug 11th, 2009 at 4:44 pm

Say what you will about Bush and Cheney, but they never asked Americans to rat out their neighbors. People kept saying the Death Eaters and their tactics (from Harry Potter) were mirrors of the Bush Administration, but Obama’s the one trying to set up an Inquisition Squad.

  34. 34 Pastafarian Aug 11th, 2009 at 7:24 pm

    NOBODY expects The Spanish Inquisition!

  35. 35 Dangerfield Mouse Aug 11th, 2009 at 8:04 pm

    AAW

    I can’t get no respect.
