The Jon & Kate Plus Eight production hiatus is over, and with it ends the Gosselins’ short-lived moratorium on talking about their personal problems.
I mean, how else are you going to drum up ratings?
Kate Gosselin broke down in tears during a Today Show interview Monday while describing why she still wears her wedding ring. Struggling to maintain her composure and using a tissue to dab at her eyes, the Jon & Kate Plus 8 mom said she keeps the ring on to make the divorce transition easier for her children.
“Sorry,” she said as she started to cry. “I don’t want to upset them (the kids). I don’t want to shock them.”
Kate was emotional during various points of the interview, but she tackled head on husband Jon’s new romance, denied an affair with her bodyguard and attacked her brother who has criticized her publicly.
She was clearly upset but shed no tears as she addressed the subject of Jon dating Hailey Glassman, the 22-year-old daughter of the doctor who performed Kate’s tummy tuck.
Asked about the fact that Jon has admitted to starting the relationship in May, well before the reality show couple’s June 22 divorce announcement, Kate said, “I was shocked.” She added: “It’s very hurtful. To be very honest the most hurtful part is when his decisions directly affect the children.”
Won’t someone look out for the children? Without dollar signs in their eyes, I mean.

She doesn’t want to “upset” them or “shock” them? Like her fargin’ hair doesn’t do that? Like Jon-Beneting them out to the entire world on TV doesn’t shock or upset them?
Trust me, Kate: Having you for a mom has probably inured them to shock and upset.
Oh yes, because mommy taking off her wedding band is the first thing a toddler’s going to notice about the situation. That is what will upset them. They’re gonna believe everything is peachy fine as long as mom still has that gold ring around her finger.
I think I rolled my eyes too hard and they got stuck.
Speaking of her hair…I’m jumping on the Kate Gosselin wig bandwagon this year for Halloween and going as a soccer mom

Every other soccer mom in Ohio has that haircut or one close enough to it it’s like “enough already!”
Those two are just looking out for themselves. How can she honestly stand there and say the show didn’t affect her marriage and keeping the show “for the kids” without being struck by lightning? If they really had the best interests of the kids in mind, NEITHER of them would be out and about in front of the cameras. They both make me sick.
the last thing they are going to notice is her ring. Let’s start with why daddy moved to New York City? Gee, if you want it to work for the kids, then what about a nice apartment close by so you can spend more time with the kids, not spending their money on luxurious items. Try just being a parent for once.

heh yeah really. i saw this crap on dlisted earlier and i thought uhhh i thought you asked for privacy? she asks for it, but if the price is right she’ll say “JUST KIDDINNNN”
If–and it’s a big “if”–she OR Jon had ever actually given one rat’s ass about the kids, then maybe she could have stepped off just a tad on the nickel-plated bitchery, and maybe he could have grown or bought a pair, and maybe they could have, oh, I don’t know, KEPT THEIR #!@$% FAMILY TOGETHER. But Kate was too busy making sure everyone genuflected before they were allowed to scrub her floors, and Jon? Well, Jon was dealing with menstrual cramps and all. Pixiebutt.

What’s worse than this whole crappy melodrama is the Kate fangirls. One of my relative’s one of ‘em and she keeps defending Kate. It doesn’t matter how stupid she gets or how badly she whores out those kids, the fangirls are always there with the same defences:
“She’s just trying to be a mom all on her own!”
“The show is just misrepresenting her!”
“Jon is a lazy no-good bastard and that’s why she’s so angry!”
And my personal favourite: “She didn’t ask for all those kids!!!!”
