Nancy Pelosi Doesn’t Like Disruptors, Except When She Does

First thing Monday morning, Nancy Pelosi took to the pages of USA Today to say this about the protesters against ObamaCare at townhall meetings across the country:

These disruptions are occurring because opponents are afraid not just of differing views — but of the facts themselves. Drowning out opposing views is simply un-American.

Hm.

Then: “I’m a fan of disruptors. Nothing could be more American.”
Now: “Disruptors are simply un-American.”

Then: “I understand your anger.”
Now: “I can’t stand your anger.”

Then: “Shout it out.”
Now: “Shut it up.”

Presumably Pelosi knows what cameras are, and that they were being aimed at her during this event. Did she think nobody would dig this up? Did she think she wouldn’t have to eat her own words? Did she think?

Nancy “Cryptkeeper” Pelosi is probably too busy bathing in the blood of virgins to think about much else.

And if you think I’m kidding with that, well, not really.

The sad thing is that she’ll probably never be ousted, because it’s not like her constituents are suddenly going to grow some sense.

  2. 2 Jenn Aug 14th, 2009 at 4:54 pm

The botox has paralyzed her brain. She is hopeless

  3. 3 Swede0319 Aug 14th, 2009 at 4:59 pm

Beige, there is only one problem with your theory, she’s from the San Fran area. The only virgins to be found are in grade school. Then again, the SF area IS the leader in “advanced society” and the “whatever happens, happens” in America.
I like the “Cryptkeeper” comment. That is so spot on, it’s scary. Kind of like Vickie Beckham.

Pelosi has driven me to drink. How can I ever thank her?

Not at all. Pelosi doesn’t care if cameras are present. Why should she? Have you seen this comparison in the New York TIMES? Any version of NBC? NEWSWEEK? CBS? Washington POST? CNN?

    No?

When do you expect the press in general to pick this up?

Thought so. It’s being published at GAWKER? How many voters (not necessarily citizens mind you) in Pelosi’s district a) read or b) having read, care about this contrast>

Pelosi’s actions are founded on one ancient legal principle:

“Whaddaya gonna do it about it, sucker?”

Well? What are all these GAWKER commenters going to do about it?

  11. 11 el polacko Aug 15th, 2009 at 1:10 am

btw, with hundreds dying in afghanistan, where are those anti-war protestors??? where are the calls to see the returning bodies ? where are the demands for an exit strategy ? my how times have changed !

  12. 12 darla Aug 15th, 2009 at 1:29 am

The right are just as hypocritical about this – the Daily Show summed it up pretty well:

    http://www.indecisionforever.com/2009/08/11/the-daily-show-and-colbert-on-obamas-death-panels/

Why don’t you get after them as well?

I used to like this site, but it’s slanting definitely right-ward of late.

No time: the homosexual recruitment drive is keeping me pretty busy, not to mention the supporting terrorists and hating freedom.

But she is sooo much smarter than Sarah Palin.

  16. 16 Beige Aug 15th, 2009 at 8:13 am

But there’s time o’plenty to police Deceiver. M’kay.

Good luck winning that toaster oven.

  17. 17 Catharine Aug 15th, 2009 at 9:48 am

I did hear this comparison on Rush Limbaugh yesterday (the day Deceiver published it) so it is being covered by some media outlets. He gets millions of listeners but then again, they probably hated Pelosi anyway.

    Instalanche!

  19. 19 Pastafarian Aug 15th, 2009 at 11:03 am

Hey darla is there a lot of classroom time for the homosexual thing? Or is there some sort of camp?

  20. 20 Roberts Aug 15th, 2009 at 12:03 pm

I agree with Darla, his site has turned into a little cess pit of hatred over the last 12 months. Do you people understand that two parties generally have to converse or exchange ideas to reach an understanding. To ‘drown’ out (by which means yell slogans so nothing can be heard or achieved) is as counterproductive as it is juvenile.

Congratulations. Keep fighting the good fight, so long wankers

  21. 21 Joshua Aug 15th, 2009 at 12:25 pm

Well, Pelosi is right about disruptors not being American.

They’re Klingon. And Romulan. That’s Star Trek 101 material, people. *shakes head and rolls eyes*

Come to think of it, if I’m not mistaken Starfleet HQ is in Pelosi’s district, so it’s no wonder she knows a thing or two about this stuff.

  22. 22 Simon Scowl Aug 15th, 2009 at 1:18 pm

Man an Instalanche?! I should try to be more serious then since those are some serious dudes readin’ around there.

Do you people understand that two parties generally have to converse or exchange ideas to reach an understanding. To ‘drown’ out (by which means yell slogans so nothing can be heard or achieved) is as counterproductive as it is juvenile.

Interesting how yelling slogans only became offensive within the past six or seven months. Such a sea-change, that was.

  25. 25 Catharine Aug 15th, 2009 at 3:28 pm

Yeah cause interrupting some politician’s townhall aka vanity info-merial is sooo wrong. There’s a reason people interrupt: if someone is spinning cover-ups and lies is it wrong to try to stop them? I don’t think so.
Townhalls aren’t even about two parties conversing. They’re elaborately staged with actors and pre-planned formatting. It’s really surprising that conservatives are being let in, probably only because it would be too obvious if they were all banned. And who is trying to shut people up in the first place?
P.S. There’s nothing wrong with hating hyporcrisy.

  26. 26 Pearce Aug 15th, 2009 at 9:13 pm

…THIS is a cesspool of hatred? Really? Clearly, kind sir, you have not visited a good 98% of the intartubes. I find the interaction here to be quite good-natured.

  27. 27 Pearce Aug 15th, 2009 at 9:15 pm

Pasta, the internet is srs biznes.

  28. 28 Al Bartz Aug 16th, 2009 at 1:06 am

Nancy Pelosi is the prime example of the Peter Priciple. Now can anyone be critical of Sara Palin if they were to compare her to Nancy Pelosi. No contest.

  29. 29 Elle Aug 16th, 2009 at 3:27 pm

    Joshua . . . I . . .I think I love you. <3

  30. 30 SoCalDem Aug 16th, 2009 at 3:59 pm

Pelosi needs to be replaced along with an awful lot of the Democrats in Congress and the Senate.
This last election was rigged by my side, it left a large bunch of us moderate and conservative Dems out of the process. In fact we watched in horror the RBC meeting on C-span as the Dems stole and cheated to put the fraud in office. I personally could not vote for Obama, he has no record of accomplishment. I took exception to the fact that anyone not ready to jump on board this obvious trainwreck was labeled a racist. It seems to be all the Democrats have left.

    Country before Party Always!!

  31. 31 Koka Aug 16th, 2009 at 7:51 pm

    LOL…… we’re wankers?

I’ve been called everything but a white woman, and still it does nothing to rile me, not even mildly. At most it makes me giggle. “Wanker” is so kindergartenista a term.

    Srsly.

  32. 32 darla Aug 17th, 2009 at 12:07 am

So “wanker” is beyond the pale, but saying you “hate hate hate” someone is sophisticated intellectual debate? Sorry, Koka, but it’s no less “kindergartenista” (what a freaking awful neologism, by the way) than “wanker”.

@ Pastafarian: No classroom time at all – it’s all about getting out into the community and spreading the message of moral curruption.

  33. 33 Koka Aug 17th, 2009 at 12:42 am

Darla………evidently I needed to put the /sarc in there for you. That’s okay, it wouldn’t be the first time.

I am surprised you didn’t comment on the “srsly”…that’s another freaking awful neologism.

    And nope, still not riled.

  34. 34 darla Aug 17th, 2009 at 2:16 am

In that case… that’s some freaking awful sarcasm.

  35. 35 Koka Aug 17th, 2009 at 7:08 am

Well, to each his own. Frankly, I don’t understand why you seem to have specifically targeted me, there are plenty of other comments here that are along the same lines. Care to explain?

  36. 36 Beige Aug 17th, 2009 at 8:23 am

She (?) just does that, Koka.

  37. 37 Koka Aug 17th, 2009 at 8:50 am

Aw, Beige…..well, that does explain things…I just wanted the chance to talk about my BA in electrical engineering and my undergraduate degree in mechanical enigineering. Darn! I can carry on an intellectual conversation when I want to.

  38. 38 Angry Army Wife Aug 17th, 2009 at 9:10 am

She just scares me. I look forward to the day when someone challenges her and she is knocked hard off of her pedistal.

  39. 39 D-- Aug 17th, 2009 at 11:12 am

Roberts – Don’t go! You got a point to make, stand up and make it.

Of course I take issue with your cess pool of hate comment…I mean really, you is on the intrawebs after all and actually for a cess pool the group is pretty articulate.

Oh and one more thing…. You mention two parties. I don’t see two, I see one party with two hats. Both parites have sold you (us?) out.

  40. 40 Beige Aug 17th, 2009 at 12:05 pm

You want cesspools of hate? Hang out with SEIU, as they beat up a black guy and yell, “What kinda n***er are you?”. Then come back here and talk about hate, little kid.

  41. 41 Jill Aug 17th, 2009 at 1:10 pm

Really, is it possible to blame Deceiver if the ridiculous nature of the Left has been particularly blatant in the last year, especially since they took control of our executive and legislative branches?

  42. 42 Beige Aug 17th, 2009 at 1:27 pm

    It’s obviously possible to TRY.

  43. 43 Beige Aug 17th, 2009 at 1:43 pm
  44. 44 Angry Army Wife Aug 17th, 2009 at 2:37 pm

oh and Beige, never fear. They have taken down their “flag” email until they find out how so many people got the mysterious email.

And Deceiver only reports the hypocracy going on. Is it their fault that the Democrats just keeps giving them more stories to report on?

  45. 45 Koka Aug 17th, 2009 at 3:10 pm

They (the talking media heads in DC) told on CNN that a third party was responsible for the emails going out. Hmmm.

On the other hand, I actually went to the town hall meeting in Cleveland, TN today, at 11 a.m. Our Sen. Bob Corker was who conducted it. No screaming, no fistfights, everyone was polite and waited their turn to talk. Only questions asked were those about why does the President expect us to except a bill on health reform that practically no one who *can* vote for it has even read it. Even Corker said he got so bogged down in it he couldn’t make heads nor tails of it. And latest I heard, tacked onto the 3rd party blame game going on…..is BO has backed off on a large portion of it.

  46. 46 Koka Aug 17th, 2009 at 3:12 pm

Accept, not except. Sorr about that. Wouldn’t want the Correct Speaking Police to come get me ;^D

  47. 47 Angry Army Wife Aug 17th, 2009 at 3:49 pm

BO is doubletalking on his private insurance crap. The bill says we do not get to keep it, but he is saying that we do. Alot of double talk going on.

Is this 3rd party ACORN? Cause it would not surprise me. Either ACORN Or SEIC.

  48. 48 MC Mom Aug 17th, 2009 at 4:10 pm

This site is a cesspool of hate?!? Really? If that were truly the case, I’d be long gone, Roberts. But, fare thee well and all that.

  49. 49 Koka Aug 17th, 2009 at 4:35 pm

They would not say it was ACORN, but you read my mind, AAW….that was the first thing that popped into my head while they were debating on there whether it was a smart thing for BO to back down or not.

I don’t understand why they made the bill so huge and hard to read. Good lord, you don’t eat an elephant in one bite. Health reform would have to be broken down into manageable pieces and then have the government run health care made available to those who want it.

But as long as those exceptional orators like Howard Dean and Nancy Pelosi keep trying to ram it down people’s throats and telling them to swallow or choke on it, they don’t care….it’ll die before it is going to fly. It’s their saying “its our way or the highway” that is causing people to buck the traces.

  50. 50 Elle Aug 17th, 2009 at 5:22 pm

“I don’t understand why they made the bill so huge and hard to read.” – Koka

I do. They can hide stuff in it better that way.

    I may just be a cynic though . . . .

  51. 51 bigmama Aug 17th, 2009 at 5:37 pm

Pelosi always makes things way too easy. My kid could catch her at this.

  52. 52 darla Aug 17th, 2009 at 6:33 pm

Haha, Beige, this is the first Deceiver article I’ve ever commented on, so I don’t see how you can possibly know that this is what I “do”.

And Koka, the reason I “targeted” you was because you got after some guy for calling Pelosi’s critics “wankers”, but you were just as uncivil and unfocused when you were talking about Pelosi. Which I thought was a little hypocritical, hence the targeting. But you make a good point about breaking the reforms down into smaller pieces so people can understand them before they’ll be able to make a judgment on whether to support them.

My biggest fear is that Palin and that wanker Glenn Beck are whipping people up into such a frenzy with their unbelievably idiotic and disingenuous talk about “death panels” and eugenics and socialism that people won’t even *try* to understand what’s on the table.

  53. 53 Holly Won't Aug 17th, 2009 at 6:37 pm

Popping in to say there are indeed two Darlas with two different IP addresses. That is all.

  54. 54 Simon Scowl Aug 17th, 2009 at 7:40 pm

My biggest fear is that Palin and that wanker Glenn Beck are whipping people up into such a frenzy with their unbelievably idiotic and disingenuous talk about “death panels” and eugenics and socialism that people won’t even *try* to understand what’s on the table.

Hope, Change, and Yes We Can! What other specifics do they need?

  55. 55 Catharine Aug 17th, 2009 at 8:17 pm

My biggest fear is that Obama and that wanker Pelosi are whipping people up into such a frenzy with their unbelievable idiotic and disingenuous talk about the urgent need to pass cap and trade, tarp, and the stimulus bill that people won’t even bother to ‘try’ to understand what’s on the table.
    Oh wait! That already happened.
    Well, onto health care! Woo-hoo

  56. 56 darla Aug 17th, 2009 at 8:33 pm

You mean the stimulus bill that pulled the country out of the freefall into another Great Depression caused by the fiscal policies of a Republican administration? You’re right – that *is* idiotic.

  57. 57 Catharine Aug 17th, 2009 at 8:40 pm

Ho boy, I don’t even want to begin to answer that.

  58. 58 Koka Aug 17th, 2009 at 9:03 pm

Nope, darla, I didn’t go after him…..I just found my being called a wanker for the first time ever to be really funny, and you didn’t see my comment that way. Going after someone here is similar to telling them they need to go back to the bridge they live under from what I have seen in the past. BUT, as long as Pelosi is uncivil to the general population who do not agree with her, well…that makes her fair game too. Her slanted comments can’t be taken any other way than as snideness. She burst out of that gate back when she got elected speaker of the house.

And Elle, you’re right on the hiding stuff in bills…..sneak it into the middle of a 2,000 page bill that is guaranteed to make a person start to snore after page 5. I worked for some years for NASA……the R&D teams are VERY good at sneaking things into budgets in reports that were almost that thick.

  59. 59 Scott F. Aug 18th, 2009 at 12:16 am

Hey Darla, if that stimulus bill ‘saved us from a depression’, then why the hell are we still hemorrhaging jobs? Why are foreclosures still rising? Why is unemployment continuing to rise? Face it, all we did was piss a bunch of money away for absolutely no value. Even Obama has stopped talking about the economy and focused nearly completely on the new health care reform because he knows how badly it’s going and taking credit for the stimulus would be like bragging that you designed the Titanic.

  60. 60 Beige Aug 18th, 2009 at 8:09 am

Gosh, I can’t imagine how I managed to confuse two snotty, condescending posters with the same name.

  61. 61 Angry Army Wife Aug 18th, 2009 at 8:21 am

well, 57% of Americans are wondering what happened to the stimulus money. Nobody has seen anything good. The Cash for Clunkers is leaving the dealerships in the hole without seeing a reimbursement so far. Yeah, that is good management. And they make the bill so large so that people cannot find the time to read it. I have read portions of it and what I have read, scares me. I do not need Glen Beck or Palin to do the reading for me. I can actually read myself, I know scary.

And Obama is using the scare factor as well. Just listen to his speeches – This has to be rushed through, we need this now, blah blah blah.

  62. 62 Jill Aug 18th, 2009 at 8:40 am

Besides, comparatively little of the stimulus money has actually gotten into anybody’s hands yet. And a slight downturn in the rate of job loss is to be expected when companies start running out of employees to layoff.

  63. 63 chuck Aug 19th, 2009 at 11:06 am

well if you don’t like what the progressives are saying today, wait till tomorrow and they will have changed it.

  64. 64 MC Mom Aug 19th, 2009 at 4:30 pm

Jill, if they don’t use that stimulus money can we have it back? Or at least have them use it to pay down some of the national debt so my kid isn’t in hock to the Chinese for the rest of her life?

[Hey, I can always dream, right, guys?!?]

  65. 65 Beige Aug 19th, 2009 at 4:50 pm

I suspect the bulk of the stimulus money will be used to buy votes, directly or indirectly, right before the midterm elections. No point blowing smoke now, when there’s so much time for the wind to clear it away.
