The Inkredible Shrinking Khloe Kardashian

khloe-weight-lossFilling the void vacated by Jennifer Love Hewitt and her inability to get any magazine covers no matter how desperate the publicity stunt, Khloe Kardashian is the new self-appointed poster child for the “don’t call me fat, I am very secure in my body, but I deserve your adoration for losing weight” routine.

Case in point: The latest cover story of Life & Style.

“Everyone criticizes me about my weight all the time,” Khloé tells Life & Style. “It’s easy for me to be like some other girls in Hollywood — not eat and become anorexic — but thank goodness I am strong-willed and secure with myself.” Self-confidence didn’t always come easy for the Kourtney & Khloé Take Miami star. “When I was a chunky little 8-year-old and I had these two beautiful sisters, I’d wonder, why don’t I look like that?” Khloé remembers. “Now I hate it when people compare me to my sisters. Kourtney’s 5 feet, I’m 5-foot-10 and Kim is 5-foot-2. I will never look like them. No matter how skinny I am, that body will never be mine.”

Still, the attacks continue. “Khloé should be put out to pasture,” Janice Dickinson says. “She should be kept in the stables along with the rest of that family. I think she’s a little pig. The whole family is piglike.” Comments like that once would have left Khloé in tears. But these days, she’s brimming with confidence thanks to her new healthy diet and fitness plan. “Khloé’s in the best shape of her life, and millions of people would kill to look like her,” Kim told Life & Style as she was leaving STK restaurant in LA on Oct. 2. So even though Khloé was unfairly ridiculed on what was supposed to be the happiest day of her life, in the end she’s getting the last laugh: She has the perfect body and the perfect man. “Way before, I was a size 10. Then I went to an 8, and now I’m a 6,” Khloé tells Life & Style. “I don’t think with my bone structure I could get much smaller than a 6. This is my body — and I love it.”

Granted, comments like Janice Dickinson’s cross the line into mean territory, but I do agree with the Kardashians going out to pasture. If only because their weight-loss advice is so bad. Like her sister Kim, Khloe is proudly shilling Quick Trim diet pills these days, an abuse that is, let’s face it, an unhealthy and last resort taken by someone who is very much not secure about her size.

Bottom line: Stop talking about your weight issues and maybe people will have less of a reason to focus on them.

Well, the implants are probably Dow Corning, and the LAP-BAND® Adjustable Gastric Banding System is by Allergan.

Get thee to the Millenium Falcon.

“This is my body — and I love it”

  2. 2 California Dave Oct 8th, 2009 at 2:57 pm

If she lost the weight, can keep it off, and is comfortable in her own skin – hey, more power to her. Congratulations, Khloe. Good for you. Really.

But yeah, if we have to hear about it all the time, it’ll get old real fast.

  3. 3 Pastafarian Oct 8th, 2009 at 2:58 pm

I wish Life & Style would interview Brad Pitt and find out how long he’s gonna continue the “I’m an Insane Homeless Guy” look he’s got going on.

  4. 4 JollyGreenMidget Oct 8th, 2009 at 3:17 pm

Well Pasta, maybe they can do a whole Insane Homeless Guy feature with Brad Pitt and Joaquin Phoenix.

  5. 5 Koka Oct 8th, 2009 at 3:19 pm

Um, somebody tell us again why should we care about the Karda-who-ians?

  6. 6 Pastafarian Oct 8th, 2009 at 3:28 pm

I’m just jealous because he’s “Insane Homeless Guy” and has women throwing themselves at his feet, and I walk around all day in a tuxedo jacket, with a top hat and a monocle and people run AWAY from me. Maybe if I was wearing pants, and underwear too. Don’t judge me!

  7. 7 Victoria Oct 8th, 2009 at 4:04 pm

Im sorry I just dont believe that girl is a size 6! Maybe a 14 or a 12.

  8. 8 turkeyguy Oct 8th, 2009 at 4:12 pm

@Pasta, if you put on pants you could be sure that people were calling you “Mr. Peanut” because of the monocle. Oops, did I say that? Sorry, pal, I should be dipped in beer and thrown to the drunk chicks.

  9. 9 AMG Oct 8th, 2009 at 4:28 pm

    Khloe’s face is unfortunate.

  10. 10 Mermaid Oct 8th, 2009 at 4:41 pm

looks like her head stuck onto someone else’s body

  11. 11 Angry Army Wife Oct 8th, 2009 at 4:44 pm

Hey, cut her some slack. After all, she just got married after knowing the guy for a full month and was paid for it by her reality TV show. What did the K’s ever do besides get a reality TV show?

  12. 12 Beige Oct 8th, 2009 at 5:15 pm

What did the K’s ever do besides get a reality TV show?

    Most of Los Angeles, apparently.

  13. 13 fallingstar Oct 8th, 2009 at 6:19 pm

Yeah, I agree with Mermaid. If she dropped so much weight, why is her face still so chubby? She’s airbrushed. They (celebrities) all are. Unless the gossip mags want them for their “Best and Worst Beach Bodies” crap. Then they smear as much cellulite as they can across the cover. Why are these women afraid to have beautiful, curvaceous, buxom, natural bodies? Is it because nasty Janice Dickinson makes comments like she does? Ms. Dickinson is hideous and I’d take anything she said with a grain of salt. I wish Hollywood had more actual talent and substance. Then celebs wouldn’t worry so much about this crap.

  14. 14 Tal Oct 8th, 2009 at 6:40 pm

Victoria: She’s probably a 6 according to some clothing company or another – they’ve all got their own definitions because of vanity sizing. I haven’t lost or gained more than about seven pounds in the last eight years and I’ve worn every size from 2 to 8.

  15. 15 Ln Oct 8th, 2009 at 6:48 pm

Fallingstar..agree with you. If we worried more about the substance of the acting and not about the look of the actor things in Hwood would be much better. Why have a man dress as a heavy woman and try to act like a woman when there are a lot of heavy real women who know what a woman really acts like?

That said, I don’t think the Kardashians would fall into either realm. They are neither attractive nor good actors. Plus…can we say airbrush much?

  16. 16 Beige Oct 8th, 2009 at 6:48 pm

I’m sorry, that would have been “Whom”, not “What”. Although this is LA we’re talking about, so maybe “what” IS appropriate.

  17. 17 Mermaid Oct 8th, 2009 at 7:12 pm

Surely, they are bicoastal by now

  18. 18 StrawberryGirl Oct 8th, 2009 at 7:18 pm

Meanwhile, millions of middle school girls start throwing up, smoking, and taking diet pills because God forbid they’re a size 10.

  19. 19 fallingstar Oct 8th, 2009 at 7:41 pm

Ln- It’s true. Being a product of the 80s, I had no idea what movies or acting were like before then. I just recently started watching older movies (saw Cool Hand Luke for the first time), and WOW did people know how to ACT back then! And of course, they were all handsome/pretty in their own way, but not like this fake, cookie cutter crap now days.

StrawberryGirl- Yeah, it’s disgusting. I had it bad when I was growing up, but girls today have it even worse. Personally, I struggled with my small bra size, and seeing so many celebs with fakes made it worse. I can still only recall one celeb, Gwen Stefani, who to this day has a smaller chest size and is still beautiful (and fit, not skin and bones). Girls need more beautiful women like that.

Pasta, are you wearing spats on your shoes? Because they say women judge a man by his shoes…

  21. 21 Minnow Oct 8th, 2009 at 7:52 pm

Give it up Khloe. You ain’t hot until Ralph Lauren airbrushes you…

  22. 22 Pastafarian Oct 8th, 2009 at 8:19 pm

    Spats? You know it.

  23. 23 AllyKat Oct 9th, 2009 at 12:41 am

Victoria and Tal: I thought the same thing. No way is she a traditional 6. She isn’t fat, but she’s not a 6.

Minnow: I saw that yesterday. I wasn’t sure if I should laugh at RL for thinking someone would believe that was real or if I should throw up at the idea of someone looking like that. Really, if the model had that body her face would look emaciated too. Aren’t graphic artists supposed to know about proportions and matching the whole composition???

  24. 24 Nati Oct 9th, 2009 at 2:32 am

Photoshop all the way in that pic.

  25. 25 cheragazza Oct 9th, 2009 at 10:53 am

Mmm, don’t think she’s a six. I get it, vanity sizing, people have different builds, blah blah, but if she’s five-foot-ten, she’s not a six. Commercial models are 5′10 and sizes 4-6. I’m 5′9 and size 8-10, and I look thinner than KK. It’s just like JLH saying she was a 2 when she clearly wasn’t; attaching SO MUCH IMPORTANCE to a stupid number makes all of the normal-sized girls freak out when the pants they buy don’t match the number.

  26. 26 Minnow Oct 9th, 2009 at 11:34 am

Aren’t graphic artists supposed to know about proportions and matching the whole composition???

    Uhm yeah.

That’s why we have to sit through 4 years of fluffy stuff like: Figure Illustration, Human Gesture, Character Design, Fundamentals of Facial Expression, Anatomy for Artists, and Problematic Gesture Illustration

Then again, I didn’t take Esthetics of the Spanish Inquisition, so I missed out on advanced racking techniques.

  27. 27 Beige Oct 9th, 2009 at 12:05 pm

Oh, Minnow. I just heart you so much sometimes. :) Sit next to me in Algebra today, m’kay?

  28. 28 turkeyguy Oct 9th, 2009 at 5:00 pm

JollyGreen, I just spat on my shoes. Is that the same thing? I guess I’ll never measure up to Pasta.

  29. 29 Pastafarian Oct 9th, 2009 at 5:56 pm

    Damn straight.

life and style always has the kardashian losers on the front of the mag.. its like um you couldn’t ‘get in bed’ with someone who isn’t on the d – list?? and as much as i don’t like janice, “the whole family is piglike” was hilarious. that family is disgusting, their dad got OJ simpson off for murder then porn whore kim “leaked” her tape. i’m sick of hearing about all of them!
